One Thought After Leaving My Daughter at College
Lower the drinking age and raise the voting age . . . that is all.
I think they should be one and the same. If you're not old enough to drink you're not old enough to vote -- or be legally responsible for your actions, go to war, etc. Either raise the voting age back to 21 (where it was when people had to take on "adult responsibilities" at a much earlier time in life), or lower the drinking age to 18 because if you're old enough to vote and carry an M-16, you're old enough to drink.
What do you figure is a good age for voting? 45? 55?
ReplyDelete55 sounds real good . . .

ReplyDeleteAmen. The voting age, the drinking age and the age to join the military should be the same.
