We now see a virtual flood of information pouring out that completely washes away the Obama misadministration's efforts at "spin," oh, hell with that, at lying to the American people. There is an excellent piece in The Daily Beast by Eli Lake which further confirms that the misadministration knew it was sending out its spokesmen to lie,
Within 24 hours of the 9-11 anniversary attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, U.S. intelligence agencies had strong indications al Qaeda–affiliated operatives were behind the attack, and had even pinpointed the location of one of those attackers. Three separate U.S. intelligence officials who spoke to The Daily Beast said the early information was enough to show that the attack was planned and the work of al Qaeda affiliates operating in Eastern Libya.This jibes 100% with what my own friends at State and CIA were telling me. Lake, furthermore, notes something my contacts did not tell me: apparently within hours the intel agencies had a couple of names and even addresses of individuals involved.

President Mohamed Magarief discounted claims that the attack was in response to a movie produced in California and available on YouTube. He noted that the assault happened on Sept. 11 and that the video had been available for months before that.
"Reaction should have been, if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September," he said. "They chose this date, 11th of September to carry a certain message."Common sense, how about that? We had to wait for the President of Libya to hear some common sense from a leader re this attack. Contrast this with what Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Jim Carney, Victoria Nuland, and, oh, yes, President Obama have been saying. Try not to get too sick.

Can anyone please explain why Obama still polls well even after this? The MSM is nothing short of seditious, but there are other ways to inform people. What in hell is going on?

Susan Rice was either completely out of the loop and didn't know what was going on - which means she is not up to her job - or she knew she was lying while on the talk shows. Shouldn't that require some sort of censure, if not a resignation?

ReplyDeleteIt should also be noted, that the United States Marine Corps has the Constitutionally mandated task of protecting US Embassies, Consulates, Legations, and certain other US Diplomatic missions and functions. This duty is not asserted on a case by case circumstance or situational status to be decided by the President. It is a USMC duty set by law.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, it is a falsehood to impute the security failures in Benghazi to the White House. The responsibility for the murders of US personnel at the consulate in Libya lays directly at the feet of the chain-of-command between the State Department and the Foreign Service Office.
Politicians who attempt to benefit from this tragedy do no service to the nation by perpetuating these misconceptions and lies.
