A mix of outrage and disgust overwhelmed me as I read and heard about the massacre in Dallas of at least five police officers and the wounding of several more. As you all know, the shooting came at the end of a "Black Lives Matter" rally organized to protest police brutality. The media and the other purveyors of politically correct double-plus-good group think labelled it a peaceful protest, well, peaceful except for 12 cops being shot, a 7-Eleven looted, and a few other such minor things. Imagine, if you will, if this had happened at a Trump rally . . . it would have been blamed on Trump's hateful rhetoric and racism.
Once again, however, contrary to the approved Hollywoodesque narrative, we see that it is the left, the progressives, the purveyors of approved thought, the protected ones, the Democratic Party constituents who engage in lethal violence. Five decent police offers lie dead, with more struggling to live. The day before this atrocity, of course, the Progressive Supreme Commander, off on some pointless trip to Europe, and his minions, e.g., the dimwitted governor of Minnesota, the Congressional Black Caucus, lectured us on our racism, and on the need to reflect on our society, etc. In fact, even after this massacre, we have the usual idiots, and, of course, I do mean Reverend Jesse "Never Waste an Opportunity for Some Press" Jackson still going on and on about Trump and white racism. Give it a rest, Rev, give it a rest. Go reflect on how you and your corrupt associates--including your ex-con son--have betrayed the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Let's be blunt: The people responsible for these killings are those who did the killings. Period.
But, you want to talk about the atmospherics for the killings?
OK, let's do.
An atmosphere of lawlessness exists in the country which I have not seen since the 1960s, along with an atmosphere of officially sanctioned stupidity which I have never seen before. The public schools, the universities, the media, the politicians high and low, and the well-oiled armies of NGOs and other activists for the growing legions of aggrieved multiculturalists and their politics of subgroup identity, now operate detached from reality, oblivious to the consequences of their obliviousness. We witness, as noted before, the exaltation of mental illness, leading to the triumph of insanity, including criminal insanity.
At the highest levels of the political structure, the Clinton Crime Family operate with immunity and gain lavish wealth and power. At the same time, we little people are subject to a mounting "lawyerfication" of our lives: more and more regulations and laws telling us what we can and cannot do; dictating that we must buy ridiculously expensive government-sanctioned health insurance, for example, or face fines; that we must not object to sharing our bathrooms with the mentally disturbed; and that we must disarm for the greater good--the evil ones have guns, so we must not. I guess that last dictate makes sense to types such as AG Lynch, who goes all pecksniffian telling us to confront terrorists with love and compassion, while she, herself, lives secure behind high walls and well-armed agents, and travels in armored vehicles and dedicated aircraft.
The growing and loopy legal code sets up confrontations between citizens and police over nonsense. Every time a law is passed, it reaffirms the belief in the death penalty. And the progs love passing laws! Showing their detachment from reality, they never ask, who enforces these laws? The answer: armed agents of the state do. Death is always a potential outcome of enforcing these laws by police officers such as the ones murdered in Dallas yesterday, or the ones who have to enforce laws against selling DVDs on the streets of Baton Rouge or single cigarettes in New York City. The progressive overlords, of course, consider cops disposable; use once and throw away.
The progressives have created an atmosphere of confrontation, conflict, and confusion; one in which no definition holds, no tradition is sacred, everything is fluid and flexible and transitioning. They will not let us use our common sense, as noted above, and say what we all know: e.g., Bill and Hillary Clinton should go to prison; Nancy Pelosi should be in a senior assisted living facility; Obama should not be President; Islam is a threat; Democrats are responsible for most violent crime in America; and, oh, yes, Black Lives Matter are terrorist thugs. I repeat, we all know that the Black Lives Matter "movement" is a hate group, a violent terrorist organization, protected by the same progressive bien piensants who cannot say "radical Islam."
The cops are heroes who should not have to risk their lives for progressive madness.

ReplyDeleteHeil Hillary!
ReplyDeleteA provocation has been staged against the Poles, sorry the Police, and war will ensue, mein Fuhrerin!
Heil Hillary!
I thank God Almighty that Hitler and his regime are dead. But, concerning Shrillary Shroo, I had a vaguely unsettling experience this morning.
DeleteOn facebook, I have been writing the following sarcastic message (in Chinese) on items regarding Shrillary Shrooo:
Dear Hillary: We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Because of your efforts, our work is easier. However, wouldn't it just be easier to directly report to us the names of any of our dissidents who speak with your esteemed country's diplomats?--Ministry of State Security, PRC.
This morning, I found my facebook blocked because someone at a suspicious site in China was trying to use it, and had to change my fb password.
Could it be that the Anquan Bu is worried that someone's making fun of one of its American asses--oops, assets?
Here, here! Time to make sure the "useful idiots" that have gone along with this because they do not have any sense of history, nor the principles that our Republic were founded upon understand the facts. Be armed with succinct, simple-to-understand truths. Of course, people believe what they want to believe at the end of the day, and somehow adherence to unreality and disinformation has become desirable, but we need to push-back, no matter what.
ReplyDeleteAmen, amen, and amen!
ReplyDeleteCopycats are out today with a traffic stop shooting and a fake 911 call ambush.
ReplyDeleteSomber Greetings from Downunder.
ReplyDeleteFrom 8,000 miles away it seems my second most favourite country is heading for increasing trouble over race differences.
If I were a Muslim keen on causing trouble for the infidels and weakening them further, I would do what I could to keep the black and white pot on the boil.
To this end, I would do what CAIR has done ie, join up with Black Lives Matter.
I think this is particularly ominous.
You nailed it. It's already happening.
DeleteActually Albatross, they created BLM. Yusra Khogali is a black muslim, an avowed racist and co-founder of the "movement".
DeleteSooner or later it might end up as “Arbeit Macht Frei”, except one can guess who is the workers. (People who actually think)
ReplyDeleteleaperman
I don't disagree with most of what you wrote here, Diplo.
ReplyDeleteBut I can't help thinking that there's a lot of room for improvement in police training, when episodes like the Minnesota one crop up.
Like in other professions, police have to be able to work the case, keep calm, and follow their training regardless of the perpetrator. Which they do, overwhelmingly, but didn't in the case at hand.
True, true.
DeleteWould it change the overall impression of events if the officer was not simply pulling over a random vehicle identified with a broken tail light but rather the officer was pulling over a vehicle containing a B.O.L.O driver who fit the exact profile of an armed robbery suspect a few days earlier?

I didn't realize the complete facts on the Minnesota shooting were in. Are you privy to inside info the rest of the world doesn't have?
DeleteThis is the unusual case where the facts are right out there, and don't require spin to interpret them.
DeleteBut I can't help thinking that there's a lot of room for improvement in police training, when episodes like the Minnesota one crop up.
DeleteWhere? The vast bulk of the policing in this country is local and per-capita police killings have been declining for 40 years. Several recent cases look bad, but most have not on closer inspection. You generally have about 300 police killings per annum. The one's you hear about are the ones Ben Crump and Al Sharpton think they can make a buck off. If what you hear is the best they can do, unjustifiable police killings are simply not common at all.
As we speak, we have had 6 police officers being put through ludicrous show trials in Baltimore because a contumacious prisoner they were transporting had a freak accident in a paddy wagon. The linchpin of the case was the contention that the van driver gave him a 'rough ride' (which appears to be a sociological unicorn). The state's attorney went into the trial with security camera footage which discredited pretty thoroughly the notion that the officer in question was driving erratically and they still took the officer to trial.
Dip, I thank you for your blog and your thoughts. I identify with them so strongly. You are a clear voice of reason and project wisdom and common sense in the midst of nauseating, Lefty gibberish that has been blaring nonstop for the last seven-plus years. I have been reading your blog for many, many months--admiring from afar. Your unique perspective is a treasure. Keep writing. I pray the subject matter is far less dismal in a few months when the Sinister Emperor slinks down off the throne.
ReplyDeleteMany, many thanks. I know at times I get a bot dour and down, but in the end I have hope that his great country will find the path back.
DeleteI too hold that hope near and dear to my heart--I keep clinging to the sense of patriotism that was everywhere when I was a young girl during the months leading up to the Bicentennial Independence Day celebration. THAT is the America I know is still possible.
DeleteI too was a "young girl" AT THE BICENTENNIAL;
DeleteWalking the streets of Brooklyn looking for fried chicken because that is what my father wanted.
Sitting on our roof to watch the fireworks and then going into the street to hear the steel bands et al perform.
Never a thought that we would be blown up. No backpacks checked, nothing.
That is not who we were.
Dip - what follows is somewhat OT I know but there is a slim connection and it is a concern.
DeleteMy wife and I were in Rio recently and like thousands of others took the funicular to the top of Corcovado to see Christ the Redeemer close up.
There were hundreds of people in the queue and on the train. But, no security checks were conducted at any point. This bothered me as the statue must be a target for the sand people.
If readers are going to Rio for the Olympics I suggest they weigh the risks of taking the train. They might be happier taking a cab to the summit and back.
In both Louisiana and Minnesota if initial commenters had followed the 48 hour rule BEFORE forming fixed opinions, less heat and more light woulda resulted. But what's the fun in that?
DeleteI recommend visiting Rio, it is even more spectacular a city than the photos show.
DeleteKennedy was killed in Dallas by a ghost. A spirit. Of intolerance or something. According to Time® Magazine.
ReplyDeleteSo, what about these cops, Time®?
Somehow, running with the bulls is an apt analogy for the current state of affairs ...

ReplyDeleteSpot on except for one significant omission, and as a voter in Nevada I demand a correction: Pelosi AND Reid belong in that home for the criminally senile.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to the Love generation of the 1960s? Their critics warned that a life without discipline would be more attractive and lead to social ruin. Isn't that progress? You hit it! You turned the progressive "cool and click" phrase that "You didn't create that job, government did" on its ear. Good work.
ReplyDeleteThe '60s generation seems to want a replay of 1968 again. They have their younger stooges all lined up.
Deletethey *need* a replay of '68...
