Sabotage is All They Have Left on the Left

Like a retreating occupation army, the Democrats and their enablers seek to destroy all before the advancing liberating forces can use it.

Sabotage is all they have left on the left.

In the wake of Trump's "shock" victory last November, their failure to prevent him from taking office through a variety of loopy legal/political moves, the Democrats, reeling, once again, from the hammer blows of Trump's uplifting and magnificent agenda-setting address to Congress, now openly seek no less than the destruction of the country's ability to govern itself. They offer no alternative vision to compete with Trump's optimistic message of national renewal, so they seek to prevent him from being able to use government in that quest, by denying him, the elected president, the institutions of government.

Sabotage is all they have left on the left.

As I noted some time back (here, here) we are seeing the attempted execution of an American coup d'etat against our own institutions,
This has gotten completely out of control. I never thought I would see our country's politics reduced to the degrading levels of a Banana Republic. Are we destined to become Honduras with rockets?
This is no longer "just politics." This is political jihadism that attempts to make America ungovernable. There is no concern for the potentially dire consequences here or abroad of their actions. All that matters to today's progressives is that they, and they alone, hold all the power in the massive progressive state they have built. Elections, the law, the future of the nation, and even logic be damned.

The latest manifestation of progressive sabotage comes in the assault on AG Sessions. The issue, as far as there is one, is whether Sessions when he met the Russian ambassador before the election discussed the campaign with him. That's it. He has denied discussing the campaign and there is no contradictory evidence to suggest otherwise except the usual "leaks" of alleged "intel" from the progressive controlled bureaucracy, leaks, by the way, which are really more malicious gossip and rumors than anything else. As noted in the always excellent Legal Insurrection, the Progs have hit the rock bottom of chicanery with their suggestion, the slanderous implication that Sessions was recruited by the Russians. As LI notes, the prog media, CNN, in particular, keeps referring to the Russian Ambassador as a "spymaster" and the lead spy recruiter for the Russian Embassy in the USA.

I happen to know something about this sort of thing; I can just about give you a 100% money-back guarantee that of the people in the Russian Embassy charged with recruiting and managing spies, the Ambassador ain't one. The Russians are MUCH, MUCH smarter than that. The Ambassador is a very public figure and would stay away from involvement in that side of the info collection business. The ones to watch, as FBI, MI-5, ASIO, CSIS know, are the bevy of Secretaries and Attaches, and, of course, the famous NOC (no official cover) operatives that the Soviets and Russians have perfected. In addition, of course, as LI points out, Sessions met the Russian while accompanied by at least one senior member of his Senate staff. Is that staffer, too, a recruit of the Russians? This is nonsense.

If the progs' logic were followed, we would have fulfillment of the State Department bureaucracy's long-time dream: Nobody but State Department officials may have contact with foreign diplomats and other officials. No more overseas CODELS or STAFDELS. No more talks to the foreign diplomatic corps. Having had to deal with countless numbers of CODELS and STAFDELS and radical rogue rouge Hill personnel out working against USG interests, I would be fine with that. I have accompanied foreign diplomats to meetings with Senators and Representatives on the Hill; in some meetings I was allowed to sit in, in others the Congressman wanted a private meeting without a State Department rep monitoring and reporting. I guess all that ends? Hmmm . . .

There, of course, is no logic, no thought for precedent or prologue. It is about disrupting the Trump administration, side tracking it, giving it the aura of a scandal-ridden operation. It is of a piece with the violent demonstrations, and the interruptions of Congressional town halls: it is about making America ungovernable.

Sabotage is all they have left on the left.

    2. Oh please, if you are expecting the milquetoast staffers in the House to clue in on the 3D chess game that is happening, you will be bitterly disappointed. That's my world in DC, and I haven't encountered the staffer worthy of your respect.

That requires fortitude, courage, and public relations skills beyond what the average House member and staff possess. The job is too easy to do by ignoring the truths right in front of one's eyes.

I would give my right n__t to discover the House Member who stood up on the House floor in special orders and said what we on this board discuss on a regular basis. Even if 25% is a WAG, that finds 75% worthy of discussion by them and us. They're too scared that they might hit the truth and have to do something real about it.

"Up against the wall?" My rifles are loaded in anticipation of the day when the truth is not only revealed--they're ready to restore the Republic and make sure my children never have to go through this apostasy ever again. Just say the word, President TRUMP--you'll have 2 million men with rifles there in DC in a week to do what is needed and necessary.

  2. This should scare everyone who understands what is happening. It should be a slap in the face to wake up the press as well. They can not possibly be ignorant of what is going on and sadly in most cases they are acting in collusion with the saboteurs. Obama is the prime mover behind this but Soros (and ironically) a number of communist organizations are sabotaging as well. If the Republicans in congress don't do something to stop this it may well blow up in our faces. Specifically what is needed is a committee to investigate this and call in Obama's people (including jarrett) and question them under oath. Get them to either tell the truth or claim the 5th on live TV. I have little hope that the Republicans will discover their gonads in time.

They also understand that type of sabotage is a. lasting and b. corrosive.

Then there's Saboteur in Chief Obama, or, as Ace puts it, "Like Voldemort had his horcruxes to guarantee his resurrection, Obama put his illegally obtained eavesdrop material into the hands of trusted loyalists."

  6. Those on the left, aside with being absolutely confident that their worldview is superior and you have to be stupid to believe anything otherwise, are shocked that Trump could have won fairly. There has to be of course some nefarious characters that stole the election/coronation away. So yes, they are doing nothing but attempting to sabotage and stymie. For in their minds what they are doing is patriotic. They are resisting the meddling of Russia in our country, and yes they actually believe that Trump is the Manchurian candidate, and are going to go to the mat on it. The mind set is so solidly set in this belief that they would rather see our country destroyed than allow it to be governed by Donald Trump. While I certainly was no fan of president Obama, my line that I would not cross was a lot further back than the leftists.

Those on the left who have dreamt of destroying America have had victory snatched from their grasp at the last minute and like spoiled children, seek to bring down everything thinking that they will once and for all be the rulers of the new Utopia. I don't believe that they have thought through the consequences of the violence that awaits them. It won't only be the red staters, Russia and China would love to get involved and frankly I would not be surprised to learn that either is surreptitiously aiding the left. Careful what you wish for leftists, you will get more than you bargained for.

I would say it is time to turn the FBI lose on Clinton Foundation, Lois Lerner, The IRS Director and assorted other juicy targets. I think Comey was faced with a possible agent revolt last summer if he did not do something, even his mealy mouthed statement on Hillary.

    1. That's assuming you *can* trust this FBI. Trump certainly can't trust DOJ or the intelligence agencies at this point . . . and neither can the rest of us. The Democrats' efforts to obstruct and destroy Trump's Presidency have already done more damage to the Republic than Trump possibly could were he allowed to serve his full term. And, I greatly fear, the damage is long-lasting and perhaps even fatal.

Who cares about Russia? The nest of traitorous domestic enemies of the Constitution called the Democrat Party is far more of a threat than Putin ever could be . . . and to the extent Russia *is* a threat to us, it's only because Obama and the Democrats have set us up for the blow.

Most of the groups denied their tax exempt status still don't have it. Neither Lerner or the Commissioner have suffered consequences. We had two-year hearings, clear perjury and contempt of Congress and..... nothing. With the exposure of the GOPe and conservative punditry as full in members of the open borders, globalist Uniparty and co-creators of the gigantic, monstrous Administrative ("Deep") State, the obvious hit me: the target groups were mostly tea party types. Congressional Republicans don't want them empowered. And we have seen, they were fine with Hillary as pres. They don't want that corruption exposed. They don't want to help Trump look better or make his election seem legitimate. Besides who knows how many members of Congress would be outed themselves for involvement in the Foundation's corruption. They allowed Hillary to handle US aid to Haiti and never asked any questions as it became clear none of that money reached the Haitian people. Why not?

If Trump ever gets a DoJ under his control, yes he should pursue investigations. Add Iran to the list. An awful lot of cash. How much of it came back to Obama or some in Congress? That investigation, though, is as dangerous as it gets.

  9. I have been commenting that the Democrats are performing a "soft" coup d'etat of leaks and accusations with no evidence to shutdown the government and try to get Trump to resign. The slow rolling of appointments allows the Obama holdovers to spread lies and false reports to the media. Just like saying Navy SEAL Ryan's death during the Yemen raid was for nothing, since no actionable intelligence was recovered. At is incorrect per Trump and the SoD. Now we find out the Obama Admin wire tapped Trump Towers; an illegal FISA court order since it was against Americans just as was done and used against Flynn.

It might be that it is now time for Pro-America Americans to form up as an irregular militia, to act as reserve 'force protection' to ensure that sworn Constitutionl officers have a ready reserve of well trained and committed lawful citizens as backup when needed, like Minutemen, and as one Pat said a few years back "Ride to the sound of the cannons"!

Daily Telegraph presents Ambassador Kislyak as a seasoned diplomat, in his profession since 1985. Imagine his enormous network. Now Infowars reveals that Mr Kislyak has visited the Obama White House at least 20 times, Fox News reveals that at least 7 top Democrats have met with Kislyak quite recently, he was even sitting with some Democrats during Trumps congressional speech Tuesday. So, even a rather dim media consumer must conclude that Mr Kislyak is merely doing his job when also meeting Trumps men.

If they would get off of their behinds and do the job they were elected to do, alot of this would be over fairly quickly, but they won't and it seems the American public has more work to do in Congressional elections. If the Dems think they will retake either of the houses of Congress they are dreaming.
The people though need to start putting more pressure on their Congressional reps and Trump needs to get out and have more rallys.

  18. I don't understand Sessions' omitting his contacts as a Senator. Yes the question was about contacts on behalf of Trump, but Sessions made a blanket statement he had no contact. He is an experienced prosecutor. He, as I, also a lawyer, know how to destroy witnesses' credibility. Omissions are a good starting place. And even aside from gamesmanship, I find it very odd he would state he had no contacts and not mention ones he had in his role as a Senator. My reaction as a lawyer may be different than other's. As a lawyer, I think lawyers, especially former prosecutors, should know better than to make statements in hostile environments that can so easily be exploited.

I find everything about the Admin's handling of the "Russian contacts" "issue" odd, and in my (very amateur, uninformed) opinion, very harmful to itself.

I still don't understand how Trump knew about Flynn's contacts, had Flynn brief Pence and lie, then both men sent Pence to go on to the Sunday shows and lie - knowing intel community had already leaked and Pence's credibility would be destroyed. Does anyone understand that sequence or the thinking involved? Is there something I misunderstand?

Furthermore, Spicer is giving press conferences every day saying he knows of no contacts - as leaks reveal more and more people, including Kushner, had them. I think there is nothing wrong or nefarious about the contacts, Trump knows now all will be leaked. Why not just release a list of all contacts - by whom with whom and for what purpose? Why have Spicer making blanket denials knowing he will be contradicted immediately by leaks?

It seems like Trump is not on his usual game - on offense. Nor is he being proactive. Imho, he needs to make a comprehensive statement about who did have contacts and why and the blunders and unnecessary and inexplicable lies/omissions have to stop. As things are going, and with the now-open help of Congressional Republicans, I am concerned we are going to get to he point where Trump will not only impeached, he will be tried for treason!

An aside: Trump needs an organisation like Obama's Organising for America, to activate millions of supporters to call and email members of Congress and give them h*ll for helping Dems on this - or anything else.

    1. Since all important DoJ actions going forward will involve the question of the legitimacy of the Trump election Sessions has, by recusing himself from, "any existing or future investigations of ANY matters related in ANY WAY to the campaigns for President of the United States," effectively delivered them entirely into the hands of career Democrats of the Deep State.
These people are supposed to be smart? Holsteins are harder to herd.

    2. Go back and listen to Franken's question again. It was explicitly worded to include only contacts related to the election by a fellow senator who knows all the senators regularly meet with ambassadors. Sessions mistake was to not be more aware that these Democrats are assholes and indeed will set up their friends fraudulently without qualm or conscience. IMHO Sessions is too nice a guy and too religious in his beliefs to have expected this. What he should be saying today is NOT that he did nothing wrong but rather "et too brute". This conspiracy goes back to before Trump even won and this setup of Sessions in a flawed perjury trap was planned for weeks before it was sprung. It is flawed exactly because Sessions is a lawyer and wouldn't have fallen for it if the wording of the question had been all encompassing. So in fact there was no perjury and arguably no harm/no foul either. BUT the MSM steps in to carry the water in indict by innuendo. IMHO anyone who goes along with this by pretending there is anything to this other than a dirty political trick by Democrats is acting as a useful idiot. Sessions was duped, he did nothing wrong, the MSM saved the dupe by lying in print. Don't be stupid and carry their water for them they are fully capable of being assholes without any help.

    3. That doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence. Smart former prosecutors who are long-time Republican Senators who have been watching the Dems at work and who have themself been sandbagged by them are not supposed to get duped. And yes, I am furious. The DofJ is now an enemy weapon. Sessions is a liability. Trump needs a fully functioning AG who can run every aspect of the DoJ. There is no way of minimizing this. I hope someone can tell me I'm wrong. I desperately want to be wrong.

  22. Wasn't there a budding scandal during Bill Clinton's presidency about the Chinese government's attempt to influence American elections by donating hefty sums to the Democratic Party? Twenty years on, my memory is hazy, and it's not like the media or Republican congressmen are bringing us back up to speed on it.

I should try to track down the details. But in the meantime, it doesn't seem like the all-purpose adage "follow the money" applies to the Trump campaign and the Russians. So far, it's supposedly all talk, but no money. Some conspiracy, huh?

The Russians aren't fools. I'm sure they, like virtually everyone -- except Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams, as chronicled in his excellent blog -- expected Hillary to win the election easily. If the Russians were doing anything, they were probably laying plans to discredit Hillary herself once she took office.

First, they released the Podesta emails. After the election, it certainly would have been the contents of Hillary's secret server, which they surely cracked...along with the Chinese, the Brits, the French, the Israelis and, quite possibly, the Iranians, the Liberians and some of the curious but horrified denizens of Silicon Valley.

Other countries have tried to influence our elections for decades, just as Obama tried to influence the Brexit vote and assigned his operatives to work against Netanyahu. This is nothing new. But it's hard to imagine that a hard-liner like Jeff Sessions was a pawn of Moscow unless he's been a very, very good actor for a long, long time.

Just the same, I wish Trump and his people would stop committing unforced errors, as Sessions did in his Senate testimony. All it does is feed the Democratic narrative that Trump's victory was illegitimate, no matter how flimsy or nonexistent the evidence is.

    1. Begin with Johnny Chung, one of several cutouts

that the Chinese used to bribe Clinton. The Wikipedia article on him is pretty good, it includes this conclusion:

Chung later testified under oath to the U.S. House Committee in May 1999 that he was introduced to Chinese Gen. Ji Shengde, then head of Chinese military intelligence, by Liu Chaoying. Chung said that Ji told him: "We like your president very much. We would like to see him reelect [sic]. I will give you 300,000 U.S. dollars. You can give it to the president and the Democrat [sic] Party."[5] Both Liu and the Chinese government denied the claims.[6]

Chung was eventually convicted of bank fraud, tax evasion, and two misdemeanor counts of conspiring to violate election law.[7] On December 14, 1998, Johnny Chung was sentenced to probation and 3,000 hours.

The main focus of Chinese influence and espionage at the time was updating their nuclear capability. China, at the start of the Clinton Presidency could not reliably launch an ICBM. They lacked several technologies: reliable multi-state rocket separation, nuclear warhead miniturization and MIRV (multiple warhead) capability, and missle guidance.

They systematically got all of this from the USA during Clinton's time in office.

Various scandals were all treated as mostly individual and unrelated by the liberal media, and include: the Reddy family influence peddling, James Cho, Loral Systems, Hughs, Nuclear Lab spying, and others I can't remember.

That will get you started, but the Johnny Chung affair is the money quote. He plead guilty to taking $300,000 cash from the Chinese and giving it to Clinton in various forms. Eventually (it is claimed) all the money was returned.

Hey, no foul, no harm. Shame about those missiles, though.
