"Snow," Bombs and News from Norway

Sitting in my house surrounded by what I would normally call "snow." That can't be, however, since the Prophet Al Gore (Praises to his Name) has told us that "snow" is a thing of the past. I don't want to be accused of being a "Climate Denier," or of denying "Settled Science," so I will just assume that the white stuff out there is, uh, "tree dandruff" produced by man-made pollution and climate change. Yeah, that's it, tree dandruff. Kinda cold, though, well, I mean, cold, you know, for a warming planet and all, but I must be wrong about that.

I see the Austin bomber has apparently blown himself up. The press, of course, can't be happy with reporting some good news so they have to try to meld the episode into their typical progressive narrative. I see the always "reliable" Daily Mail, among other commentators, quick to label this loser as a "devout white Christian."

Notice how quick the MSM is to identify his race. Notice, also, that there is no evidence that he was a "devout" Christian. The press go back to some blog entry he supposedly wrote in 2012 in which he expressed opposition to gay marriage and abortion. Hmmm? My Orthodox Jewish cousins are opposed to gay marriage and abortion. Muslims are, too. I guess that means they're all really devout Christians. I did not know that.

Balancing the good news of the death of the Austin creep comes some bad news from Norway.

Norwegian Justice Minister Sylvi Listhaug was forced to resign her position, apparently for being too pro-Norway and for worrying too much about the safety of Norwegians. I am not an expert on Norwegian politics and don't play one on the internet, so I will leave the in-depth analysis to those who know much more. According to the Washington Post and other American media she got herself into trouble for posting something on Facebook critical of the opposition party's stance on dealing with Islamic terrorists.

I don't know if that's true. I suspect that she was just too patriotic and too much Norway First for the usual globalist elitists, who have to keep reminding us of the July 2011 rampage by Anders Breivik every time anybody mentions Islamic terror.

Bottom line: I hope Listhaug remains a force on the Norwegian political scene, and can help Norway avoid the horror that has befallen much of the rest of Europe.

  2. The Austin bomber also had a thing about child molester registration, which might have more to do with his motives than "devout Christian." There is some speculation that he was Mormon.

  4. Well, let me be the first to point out that the first comments and even admitted speculation always describe the terroriste du jour as a Right Wing nut-job. Remember the politician who thought that the Times Square bomber "just didn't like Obamacare?"(Turned out to be Muslim, of course.)

His victims seem to have been Black Baptists, so he must have been "raaaasis", but his other victims or near victims were White. They lived in Austin, so they were most likely Democrats, but some of them had jobs, so there is that mystery to solve.

He did not have a job. Weird creepy guys often get fired, so maybe he just resented the employed. More will come to light, but, with the ATFE and the APD doing the detecting, we may never know much more than we already do.

    1. "Unknown," is the nom de cyber of Michael Adams, of Round Rock, Texas, about five miles from the spot where the bomber was shot, or blown up, TBA.

    2. I have the authority to contact that alleged and will do so earliest. I will report back soonest, as detailed in Anon's of 4:12 PM (which as preliminary, I very much doubt)

Need I remind, All early reports tend to be wrong.

But I suppose we shall see. Anything's possible.

The bomber was a 23 year old, considerably younger, by some decades of your insinuation.

And no relation blood, relationship or otherwise.

You offend me personally, whoever you are.

    2. Yep, my bad. I forgot the affiliation of the camp. But he did also set off a truck bomb near the PM's offices.
Breivik thought he was acting for the greater good. James Hodgkinson probably believed the same thing. Thankfully, Hodgkinson was a lousy shot.

    2. Our school system's powers-that-be (corrupt, spoils system beneficiaries who backtrack with apologies and embarrassed undoings when it gets out that they gave themselves "accidental" pay raises in a county hurting for revenue and whose teachers have gone for years without a raise) sponsored student walkouts in "solidarity" with the Florida victims.

Yet, in the years I have taught in this system, the high school where I work has seen knifings, one of which was fatal, assaults on students and staff, and open gang recruitment. No shootings--yet. We've been on lockdown/shelter in place twice this school year. And of course we have these "fine, upstanding Muslim young men" [not immigrant, btw], who are so rye-chee-uss they won't be caught dead without their kufi, but who wear their trouser waists down about their thighs, apparently being desirous of being the bacha in some bacha bazi.

Yes, the suicide of the West is well under way.

  8. Well of course what Anders Breivik did was wrong. But it would seem that what Anders Breivik said about Norway's politics was right.

  9. At the risk of being wrong (and any time people opine with incomplete information, they risk being wrong), I think you are being a bit too hard on the Daily Mail. While I would describe their journalism as "sloppy," they are usually on the right side of the big issues (and if you like seeing gazillions of near-identical photographs in your story, they can't be topped :) ).

I am sure more will come out on the bomber's background (and it is quite possible, maybe even likely that there were some signs of trouble, even if people missed them, as family are wont to do), but I don't really have a problem with the description of the family as close and Christian, firstly, because it is so rare for these types of nut cases ("man bites dog"), and second, because if they always mention the religion and background (which I want them to do), much of the time it is going to be something like "Muslim immigrant." If he made very few social media posts (which the article claims), then what he said is going to stand out. I will take disclosure in all cases rather than selective suppression of information - we will win more than we lose in that regard.

Feel sorry for the parents (at least so far, it seems that they had absolutely no idea). Imagine an officer at the door ("we shot your son because he was the bomber").

Don't know why the number of sickos seems to be increasing so rapidly, especially those targeting (apparently) completely random. I can sort of understand the motive for the recent Maryland school shooting - at least there was a grudge (and by the way, that ended the way they are supposed to - law enforcement at the school immediately engaged the shooter, and took him out).

  10. Dear DiploMad, so glad that you notice what´s happening in our little corner of the world as well.
Sylvie Listhaug is one of the new "rightist" ( = anti-immigration ) politicians, her party is Fremskrittspartiet, now in coalition with the ruling party. Fremskrittspartiet was very successful in the election therefor Listhaug got a minister post. Being "rightist" she is of course controversial in the media. She proposed that suspected terrorists should lose their citizenship and passports. Perhaps needless to say but these people are of course Muslim immigrants. Anyhow, this ( excellent! ) proposal was voted down. Therefor she wrote this critical text on Facebook and the witch-hunt started. I think that the PM, Erna Sohlberg, still supports her but they decided that she should step down to protect the coalition. She might even be offered a new minister-post when this blows over. She is that popular among ordinary people. But you see, MSM is kidnapped by crazy liberals/radicals here just like in your country.

    2. Thank you, DiploMad, I am deeply troubled too. Suicide, yes, our own politicians did this to us. Why ? I don´t know, naiveness or illusions of grandeur or promises to EU or ....stupidity. Or all of it combined. And evil MSM plays a big role in it. We have an election this September and I pin my faith on that. We have "rightist"-parties too. However, the enemy is already among us and impossible to get rid of.

    3. Fjordman has been warning us of Sweden's problems since 2005. For his pains, Norway's MSM hounded him into exile, blaming Brevik's massacre on him. After some years exile, Fj's returned home and reports yet again on Sweden's suicidal decline:

Funny, the IPCC predictions that I read said that all forms of precipitation, including snow, would increase. What are your sources for saying there would be no more snow?

I see the always "reliable" Daily Mail, among other commentators, quick to label this loser as a "devout white Christian."

Well, duh. Almost all mass killers are white, male Christians. That's like saying there is snow in the winter.

By the way, if you really want to count this way, 2017 is definitely dominated by white, male Christians. It's still a silly way to count.
