The Mueller Report . . . Not

Unlike a lot of "journalists," I will not pretend to have read the 400-page Mueller Report.

I heard AG Barr's news conference today, and thought that he did a very good job of presenting the results, describing the process followed since receipt of the report, laying out the legal requirements for how to handle the report, and stating its major conclusion,  i.e., no Trump-Moscow collusion.

The "journalists" at the presser came off as idiotic political hacks, and Barr fielded their questions and comments with aplomb and wit. The "unprecedented" bit was wonderful; pure sitcom gold.

The journalists also seemed unaware that in the USA, supposedly, a person remains innocent until proven guilty. The Muller investigation did not find evidence of President Trump's guilt. Trump, hence, is not indicted and not guilty.

Will I read the Mueller Report? Maybe, I don't know. It's a bit like getting handed a new giant mystery novel by a turgid writer and being told, "By the way, the butler did it." Not an encouragement to read it.

One issue not getting much press attention: it seems that the report implicitly points the finger at Obama; Russian election meddling took place on his watch. He failed to protect us from that.

I'll see if I change my mind about reading the tome . . . just waiting to see if the hideous clowns who produced the Russia-Trump Collusion Hoax will face consequences.

    1. Those who planned this, must be discovered, and punished. This has set a nightmare precedent, if they are not uncovered.

  2. As with you, I'm unlikely to read it. I did use my ipad to preserve the searchable document version as a pdf in my ibooks folder just in case I ever suffer from insomnia again.
I laughed and laughed as NPR and PBS went nuts trying to show that failure to fire Mueller must imply obstruction of justice. The left in this country are seriously broken. It's like they haven't had an original thought since Castro died.

    1. That's exactly it - no new ideas and falling back on the old socialist claptrap only works on idiots - so they engage in character assassination. When that doesn't work they attempted a bloodless coup.

  3. Just my very preliminary thoughts where 'reading the tome' is concerned. A goodly portion has already been, pretty much if not thoroughly dissected and studied, published via leaks mainly. Still there does seem to be alot of stuff that was, perhaps not surprisingly, "studiously avoided" (I suspect by a media concentrated on keeping to/sustaining a narrative).

As for "the clowns who produced" they've been mostly shedded: Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Rybicki, Baker, Campbell, and Giacalone from the Bureau most notably. Yates, Page, Laufman, [T.B.] Anderson, and Kadzik from DoJ.

Still it's probably a pretty good foundation to at least have a 'middling familiarity' with when IG Horowitz' other shoe drops in the 45+/- days from today.

  4. What is most telling is the Left has gone insane with anger that in fact, no US Citizen was working with Russia to steal the election. What does it say of a Political Party who have been hoping for 2 years that the legally elected President was a Foreign Agent?

    1. Same political party did pay a Brit (and Fusion GPS) to work with Russians to gin up the bogus "dossier" used to fabricate FISA warrants needed to tap into intelligence and law enforcement assets for what amounted to illegal surveillance of Americans.

It's almost guaranteed that if the Dems make bogus claims you are doing something illegal, it means that they've already done it themselves

      * Wikipedia calls it 'psychological projection'

  5. We can’t prove that Trump murdered someone on Fifth Avenue ... nor can we prove that he didn’t kill someone on Fifth Avenue. But here is a list of ten people who have died on Fifth Avenue over the last two years. — Robert Mueller

  7. So many sad faces yesterday and last night. It was almost as good as election night 2016- almost. I most enjoyed the face of Nicolle Wallace. She looked ashen and distraught. What absolute fun. I imagine there was some heavy drinking last night and a dash for the Advil bottle this morning. Delicious.

    1. Those faces - how deluded they must actually be to believe this garbage for so long or to have wasted all this time convincing themselves that it must be true - it really speaks to the collective mindset of the media/hardcore left.

So desperate, so devoid of constructive ideas,...so inept.

  9. Mueller comes off as pissed that he can't indict Trump for not being good on written tests.

I was giving Mueller the BOD, but the way he weaseled all that crap about "non-traditional prosecution" (WTF?) is risible. And irresponsible--but such are our unEElected EEleets.

  10. Belize it or not, this is from CNN via DC Whispers –

If you consider Russian election interference a crisis for our democracy, then you cannot read the Mueller report, adding it to the available public evidence, and conclude anything other than Barack Obama spectacularly failed America. Subsequent investigations of this matter should explore how and why Obama’s White House failed, and whether they invented the collusion narrative to cover up those failures.

  11. THEY OBVIOUSLY GOT TO MUELLER!!!!

Srsly... moonbat radio (kpfa bay area) had a big long expose... and now it's the 'known wisdom' that nothing was ever going to be produced on 'russian collusion' because it was 'undetectable' (Noam Chomsky's words).
He went on to rail against the *real* problem in politics.. which is.. (wait for it)... money. Because not everybody with lots of money supports Chomsky's positions.
There's a sad set of shared opinions between the right and the far left on this thing.. Both see the the BS collusion crap from Obama-Clinton-Media as being a belated and lame afterthought-attempt at undermining the Trump administration.
But the far-left thinks they're only in this predicament of being completely out of power because the democrats became the 'other big business party' when only the far-left *truly* represents the people.

  12. Hillary's backers bet too big on her.
When objectivity gets clouded and a 'bet' becomes a 'sure thing' in someone's mind, risk-takers throw good money after bad.
That's what happened with the Hillary campaign. Backers piled on to a 'sure thing', and before we knew it, the campaign was simply 'too big to fail'.
So Obama/Clinton liquidated all of their assets, which included holding a meeting of political appointees to sign off on a document full of baseless accusations against the Trump team.

Somebody's got to pay up in the end, and there certainly wasn't any cash left.... there never is.

  13. Six reasons for the Mueller investigation:

    1) Distract and cover up the slip shod and predetermined outcome of the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s myriad crimes

    2) Besmirch Trump and the Republican Party to the point where they would lose the 2018 midterm Congressional elections

    3) Handicap the president in his ability to move forward with his administrative agenda

    4) Provide a road map for Congress to start an impeachment proceedings if it chooses to do so politically

    5) Provide an excuse for Hillary’s election loss

    6) Alert the American public to the dangers of Russian efforts to interfere with our election
