Nope. Not Gonna Mention the Dem Debate. Nope. Not all. Not at All . . .

I watched IT.

This IT was not the Ray Bradbury IT, a film about aliens from outer space which had the great Barbara Rush. No. This IT was the Democratic debate of Wednesday night. This new one did not have Barbara Rush or Richard Carlson, had much worse production values, and, of course, inferior acting and writing. IT did, however, have on stage beings from outer space . . . I hope, in any case, that is so . . .

No. I am not going to write about this IT; much too embarrassing. But . . .

How can the world's oldest political party find these people as standard bearers? The cast of characters consists of:

A chronic liar, and fake "Indian" champion of women's rights who had her female staff of color in Nevada walk out on her;

a fake as fake can be failed mayor of a small midwestern town;

a virtually unheard of Senator from Minnesota who whines and cries about being mocked and called names by the fake mayor;

a corrupt and ailing former Vice President with a resplendent and freshly bottoxed forehead;

an ailing, more than slightly deranged, aged Communist throw-back to the USSR;

and a wooden billionaire, ashamed of his record as mayor of NYC, trying to buy his way into the White House, and paying off the "MeTooers" in his past.

Who wrote this screenplay? Is it based on an original story by Jerry Seinfeld? It was a debate about nothing. Empty Gaia worship. Zingers flying. Voices raised. And then, as the fake mayor would say in his bad Spanish, "Nada."

Keep at IT, Dems. Your spacecraft will eventually arrive and take you back to your home planet.

Meanwhile, I am not going to write about it . . . Nope. Not one word . . .

  2. Well.. except to say that Biden looks increasingly weird. I think he stuck in the uncanny valley. I'll stop now. Carry on gentlemen.

  3. Does Biden have any eyebrows? His eyes look like the gun slits in a pillbox. Maybe getting eyebrows would make him more electable and less stupid looking.

  4. ... as though these candidates are much different from the voters to whom they are appealing?
    I'm not convinced they will be unsuccessful, because their message is pointed at the indolent, which is unfortunately an ever increasing fraction of our society.

    They might be from outer space, but so do our voters seem to be. How else do we reconcile Obama winning two terms by good margins? Once could have been a trick.. shame on Obama.. twice.. shame on america

  6. Watching this farce from a safe distance on the other side of the Pacific, one has to ask whether what we are seeing is the refined outcome of 240 years intense "practice" at politics or the start of a new, as yet untried, different way of doing things. Either way, it ain’t working.

    2. There is a large group of Bernie supporters that are starting to resemble the Sturmabteilung. They wear black instead of brown. They have adopted symbolism and have the attitude that they are the spear point of the revolution. They are performing in the same manner as the SA. Vandalizing opponents headquarters, inciting violence at political rallies. (They can't do it at Trump rallies this time, because Secret service protection, means the local police have to control violence.) But at other rallies they will riot and disrupt as much as possible.

  10. Don't have to be a fan of foggy bottom to appreciate that they got their consular staff out of Wuhan faster than anybody else, regardless of the suicidal directions from the WHO.
    For contrast... the 'wait and see' approach of Clinton in Benghazi... it's uncanny to me that federal workers seem to dislike Trump so much in comparison.
