The 4th: Now More Than Ever

It appears the morons seek to lead us into a dour, doubting, and grim 4th of July. Traditionally one of the happiest events on the American calendar, the 4th, and all it stands for, has come under relentless assault from "scientific experts," illiterate "academics," and an assortment of b.s. celebrities and pundits.

The lynch mobs have learned from the old tactics of the mafia and, of course, from Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. You know, "Sure would be a shame if your business caught fire; I am sure a donation to racial equality could help prevent that . . . " The highly anti-semitic and anti-white Al Sharpton, now a regal and regular feature on MSNBC and at Democratic conclaves of various types, was a master at that. I lived in NYC during his reign of terror and his various scams--e.g., Tawana Brawley, anybody? Freddy's Fashion Mart? Nothing new under the sun, I guess, just now it's on steroids.

The President intends to hold a 4th celebration at the Mt. Rushmore national monument. Now, SUDDENLY, we hear from the NYT and other purveyors of the progressive faith that Mt. Rushmore is sacred Native American land, and that Trump's holding a 4th event there is a "celebration of white supremacy."

Was it sacred Native American land when FDR dedicated the monument? Well, I guess that's another reason to tear down the FDR monument in DC . . . How about when Obama visited it? Or Bernie Sanders? The NYT and all other denizens of progo Manhattan might want to start packing out since Manhattan once belonged to the Lenape or Delaware Indians, and they got rooked by the Dutch for some $24.

Defund NYC! Tear down those ugly buildings!

Don't let the bastards ruin your 4th.

This is a great country founded by some great people on great principles. Never apologize.

Here, I present a photo of the Diplopad in Wilmington festooned by the immigrant Diplowife. Don't ever tell her that America is not a great place.

Happy 4th!

  2. And I say, "God Bless America' because it was America and the boys who flew, sailed and fought alongside us, when I was but a child. It was America who gave us succour, and it was America who gave us her finest!

  3. I think I'll celebrate our nation's independence by taking an assortment of rifles down the hill in back and shooting some Tannerite.

  10. Re the house. This was never intended as our main house but we fell in love with Wilmington. The house was used a couple of times for exterior shots in the old Matlock series with Andy Griffith. I am looking for his white suits.

  11. Very good speech by the President. Excellent job by the speechwriter(s). https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-south-dakotas-2020-mount-rushmore-fireworks-celebration-keystone-south-dakota/
Not divisive as the liars in the MSM would have us believe.

    1. You're right. Most of the media reports on the speech ignore what was actually said!

  12. Love your blog and always look forward to new articles. The perfect illustration of the insanity of the left in this country would be their denigration of your spectacular and beautiful home as an "antebellum home" reminiscent of pre-Civil War architecture.

  13. I hope all had a great 4th. Here it was a noisy one, but then its SW Florida and our guv didn't issue any edicts re: blowing stuff up.
I spent some time yesterday reacquainting myself with Walter Russell Mead's Special Providence. (I'm sure you've read it; I don't know how you feel about it, but I thought it was an interesting read on the schools of American foreign policy thought. Perhaps one of your several readers might enjoy it). Bismarck (possibly) observed "God has a special providence for fools, drunks, and the United States of America." My favorite line from the book was Massachusetts Congressman Fisher Ames' "A monarchy is a merchantman that sails well, but sometimes will strike on a rock and go to the bottom; a republic is a raft that will never sink, but then your feet are always in the water." The year he made the observation was 1795. No dyslexia, 1795, not 1975. The men who devised the rules of the game as we play it were very smart indeed.

Thanks for the "Special Providence" and the 'String of Pearls'! Hope you enjoyed your 4th!

I didn't mind the {{{REPORTS}}} from the Chinee rockets, over the past week, but the young fools launching them into the treetops in the Closed~~after-Sundown~~Park pissed me off! As did the 50 or so clowns cheering the Punks on! Happily tho, I didn't need to take the LAW into my own hands... I called it in~~~ and one of the local 'Finest' Rolled thru and back with spotlight on the perps w/ a BullHorm Warming of 5 minutes to vacate! They hauled, but wound up on a street corner an hour later shooting a final volley into the trees -- too bad the bastidges didn't get a couple of bonk bonks before a night in the clink, and a morning in front of a judge!

Suspect, the 'Schools Out' element, will be training for Direct Action Election confrontations, as Pawns of the collective Progs! Did someone say, "Long Hot Summer"!?

Happy belated 4th. You have a nice house. The wife is from a town near Black Mountain. If I ever get a weekend off from work or a fed.gov job, I'll be down there...might even pass through Wilmington. Who knows? The world is a crazy place.

I read your story of fight the field marshal weeks ago. It reminds me of the craziness I saw at an embassy while interning back in grad school...though physical force was rarely used.
