Conman Comey: America's Dirtiest Cop

In my nearly 34 years in the State Department I had many occasions in which I worked with the FBI. Except for one time (here), my experiences proved positive. I particularly enjoyed working with the FBI when I served at the US Mission to the UN in New York. Although many years have passed since then, I still do not feel comfortable discussing the nature of the work; suffice it to say, it was fun, legal, and done in the spirit of serving our country and allies by protecting them from some very bad guys. We worked closely, then, there, and elsewhere, with other US agencies and some genuinely excellent foreign ones. We never discussed domestic politics, including those of our foreign colleagues. I don't think any of us knew or cared how any other of us voted. It was just inconceivable that anybody's political preferences made any difference when working for the West. Good times. They seem so far, far away.

Back in those golden, olden days the FBI was universally recognized as the world's best law enforcement  and counterintelligence service. That is gone, thanks to the politicization of the FBI, aided and abetted by recruiting from our crap leftist universities and the emphasis on "diversity." To top it off, the FBI got saddled with a malicious, narcissist known as Jim Comey.

I have written a lot about Comey, and won't repeat it (you can see some of that herehere, here). I watched what I could of his testimony before Graham's committee, and was, again, appalled by this man. He is a very polished liar; I am not a psychiatrist and don't play one on the internet, but there is something deeply wrong with this man. He lies with an incredible facility and never looks back. He has the most selective memory I have ever seen. Of critical events he has "no recall," but yet writes books and has a hagiographic HBO mini-series made about him based on his accounts of his doings. He adopts the pose of the moral arbiter, the super patriot, all the while using the great powers of the FBI to destroy innocent people's lives and conduct a coup against our democracy. He is disgusting beyond all bounds.

Watch the testimony and you'll see what I mean.

  1. Comey's demeanor shows a man confident that he will get away with it all.

Well, he is a life-long Republican. We have to make allowances for that.

    1. Cute deflection but not true.

    2. Comey campaigned for Dems in 2018, and in 2016 said he was an independent. He is a toxic liar who loves the limelight and probably cost Hillary her election with his stunt as I noted back then

    3. Well then he did at least one good thing!

    4. Over and over, people who claim in the media to be life-long republicans are anything but. Typically, the claim is made in service of whatever the Democrats want at the moment.

Joe Scarborough was a Republican congressman (and of course a life-long Republican), as unbelievable as that seems now.

    5. Joke, not deflection, and also it's quite true Comey had been a life-long Republican, but I can se where his treatment from Trump changes that. Feel free to look it up. I was not aware of his 2018 activities, and thank you for pointing that out.

      Doctor Weasel,

Some people do change political views over time.

    6. sometimes they 'change', but sometimes they 'become apparent to others'.
I don't know Comey or much about what he did recently, but I have seen some statements from him in which he *appears* to have a God-complex.
Not unusual for politics, and it appears that he's been a long time politician mixing it up as an FBI-embed or mole.
The handling of the Trump campaign investigation and Clinton email investigation draws some pretty clear partisan lines. That's where I stopped watching... I mean.. what's the point? People should focus on raising responsible kids that don't feel obliged to listen to 'teachers'.

  3. I *did* watch the debate from Tuesday (and thus I will not be fulfilling any invoice!)... mainly to garner the odds that Biden would've gotten covid from Trump in it, but Biden has the same problems Hillary's campaign had:
Biden is running against Trump while Trump is running for Trump.
I think Trump swept the floor and made Biden look like a cut-out when he would address the camera with a ridiculously paternalistic "you at home.."
*We* are able to make decisions for ourselves, whether it's in regards to 'global warming' or covid.
... and this is what gets me about the ongoing lockdown stuff... everybody now *knows* what the threat is. Getting people into a panic might have been justified early on when it wasn't clear how contagious or deadly it was... but now people are capable of making their own choices... *that* is where Trump wins (assuming he survives covid).
And I *strongly* appreciated Trump's answer on global warming.. rather than belaboring the point and getting off message... ."Do you believe that mankind has had an influence on the global climate?" "Somewhat..... ."
Because there's no other *honest* answer. Nobody can definitively distinguish the signal, yet nobody can reasonably say "mankind has had absolutely *no* effect".

Based upon the evidence, I would estimate the probability of mankind having created runaway global warming is somewhere between 0 and 1, exclusive.

Who's this Comey guy? Thought Trump fired him.... or was that on his TV show?

    I DID and I DO!
The unMasking of the SOB was long overdo, now we know that he too was one of the Gang of 20 or so, treasonous snakes, who attempted to destroy OUR President, drip by drip, and nearly accomplished all of their nefarious objectives! I had all I could do, just to restrain my foot from going through my cheap Chinee TV, enroute to Comey's smarmy face! Hanging him and 20 or more of his co-conspirators by the heals is not enough! I propose a Firing Squad made-up of a select Company of shotgun shooters, from all 50 states, and a circus catapault canon = PULL - PULL - PULL - PULL . . . Allow a pause between the PULLS for Patriotic applause! Then release the Hungry Hounds... Let's Vote on it!

  5. And if Harris wins the Election all of the investigations end on 20 January and every bit of evidence, all notes and records, will disappear down the same rabbit hole that consumed Hillary's emails.
It does not matter if doing so is illegal, The Left will be in power and the Media will never report anything untoward.

  7. If Comey successfully evades prosecution for his crimes and abuse of power, this country is lost. Others, more crooked and more cynical, will follow the trail he blazed. I think of him as Beria.

  10. Just gonna say it... Trump getting covid is a stupid situation.
If he was 40... fine... those are odds indistinguishable from influenza.... but he's 74...

Even in the very likely case (90%'ish) that he survives this (which I'm fully expecting), it certainly *looks* sloppy.

My brain wants to say "this is a disaster for Trump"... except my brain has said that so many times with regards to Trump's political fortunes in the past.... and.. well...

  11. Yes, but how many “40” year old Presidents do you know #1482?
The way I see it, the POTUS sized-up the Covid situ very quickly, including the compounding culpability and obstruction by the ChiComs, and their Democrat co-conspirators -- assassins ALL of them, within and out.
We’ve seen DJT walk a tightrope from DAY ONE, and every single day since that he’s been in office! The Donald had no choice but to be an upbeat cheerleader, and a bad ass, if not Heroic Q-back making all the right calls, sometimes slick and somtimes sloppy, across America, and around the Globe! Now we see him sliding into the PITS sideways, needing a tire change, and a can of gas for the final LAPS! I hear your “Brain” brother reader – I ask myself and I ask you, what’s the ‘degree of difference’ between “sloppy” and slick? Will he navigate successfully through the End Game of his first TERM? Are the American people, at Large, Brave enough, Tough enough, and RICH enough, to Save the USA? I’m betting on it. And I’m betting that our current POTUS knows what has to be done, whether or not he has the FREE time or the opportunity to SPeLL IT ALL OUT FOR US FANS, in the STANDS!

P.S. Here’s How the Last Pandemic President did it, he was the Democrat, whose "League of Nations" went Kaput!
For what it's worth, this just in from the Smithsonian:
What Happened When Woodrow Wilson Came Down With the 1918 Flu?
The president contracted influenza while attending peace talks in Paris, but the nation was never told the full, true story
The 1918 influenza pandemic killed an estimated 50 to 100 million people worldwide—including some 675,000 Americans—in just 15 months. But Woodrow Wilson’s White House largely ignored the global health crisis, focusing instead on the Great War enveloping Europe and offering “no leadership or guidance of any kind,” as historian John M. Barry, author of The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History...“Wilson wanted the focus to remain on the war effort,” Barry explained. “Anything negative was viewed as hurting morale.” In private, the president acknowledged the threat posed by the virus, which struck a number of people in his inner circle, including his personal secretary, his oldest daughter and multiple Secret Service members. Even the White House sheep came down with the flu, ...Wilson himself contracted the disease shortly after arriving in Paris in April 1919 for peace talks aimed at determining the direction of a post-World War I Europe. As White House doctor Cary T. Grayson wrote in a letter to a friend, the diagnosis arrived at a decidedly inopportune moment: “The president was suddenly taken violently sick with the influenza at a time when the whole of civilization seemed to be in the balance.” Grayson and the rest of Wilson’s staff downplayed the president’s illness, telling reporters that overwork and Paris’ “chilly and rainy weather” had sparked a cold and fever. On April 5, the Associated Press reported that Wilson was “not stricken with influenza.”... Behind the scenes, the president was suffering the full force of the virus’ effects. Unable to sit up in bed, he experienced coughing fits, gastrointestinal symptoms and a 103-degree fever...Wilson’s bout of influenza “weaken[ed] him physically … at the most crucial point of negotiations... Despite his personal experience with the pandemic, the president never publicly acknowledged the disease wreaking havoc on the world. ...Six months after he came down with the flu, Wilson suffered a debilitating stroke that left him paralyzed on his left side and partially blind.... The weakened president died three years later, on February 3, 1924.
