Monday Musings on a Tuesday: Stolen Votes and Gun

We got back late last night from Miami. The trip took us nearly 14 hours: we hit heavy traffic coming out of Miami, had a long lunch at Sonny's BBQ in Georgia, and then I missed a key turn-off in North Carolina and ended up wandering in the dark in and around Lumberton with a glitchy GPS (made by Dominion systems?) before I got myself straightened out and on the road to Wilmington. No time for posting, just enough to sit down and watch the first episode and a half of this season's "The Crown." I don't know. The portrayal of PM Margaret Thatcher by that hack American actress Gillian Anderson does not seem convincing. I hear she's getting some critical praise for that portrayal, but I find it very bad. She has got the accent down, but the exaggerated mannerisms and the insistence on making Thatcher out as some sort of frail, pre-Parkinsonian, hunched over asthmatic hits a false note. The Thatcher I saw in action at the UN seemed far from that! She came off as a vigorous woman, with a commanding voice, and a quick and rapier-like wit. You did not want to debate her! Maybe the acting will improve as the season rolls along; I, however, have little faith in how Hollywood portrays conservatives.

Events also keep rolling along in the great Biden heist story. On the way up from Miami, we stopped at a turnpike rest stop which had, ugh, CNN on. The banner at the bottom of the screen said it all: "Trump should concede and go." They also ran a vote total for "President-elect" Biden. These people are beyond disgusting. There, of course, is no "President-elect," no state has allocated its electoral votes, and, again, of course, there are some very serious challenges to the whole 2020 election making their way through the courts and via various recounts. There is virtually no coverage of the nature of Trump's challenge to the election results; for any person with any intellectual honesty those results are highly suspect, and quite literally incredible. Biden out-polled not just Hillary but Obama? Right-o. He managed to get 100% of the vote in certain districts? Yeah, sure.

My simple reading of roughly what happened follows.

For many months, the Dems and their media and high-tech allies pushed fake opinion polls showing Biden with a double digit lead not just nationally but in nearly every state in the union: all nonsense, of course, meant to suppress the Trump vote, and make a Biden "victory" somewhat more credible. One fly in the ointment, however, was the unprogrammed death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and the quickness with which Trump-Graham-McConnell moved to fill the position. Notice the Dems great insistence in trying to get Coney Barrett to commit to recusing herself from any cases involving electoral challenges: the Dems knew fraud was on the way.

As shown by some internal memos that leaked, the people around Biden knew their candidate did not have a double-digit lead; they thought the election would have a razor thin margin of victory.

The Dems had gotten their allies in many states, perhaps most states, to buy the corrupt foreign-made Dominion voting machines running a foreign-made software program--one used in Venezuela under Chavez and Maduro--which allowed vote flipping. The machines, at least in several key areas (maybe more widely), were programmed to begin flipping votes once a certain number of votes had been cast. A problem quickly became apparent: the Trump vote was overwhelming, well beyond what the Dems and their magic machines had calculated. The original vote flipping algorithm proved insufficient. As happened, therefore, in Venezuela, they stopped the count to reset the machines, and institute an old-style back-up plan for extra security: e.g., massive vote dumps of quickly filled out ballots, tossing Trump ballots in the trash, running the same Biden ballots multiple times, and so on.

The same FBI that sent 15 agents to investigate a fake noose story at NASCAR, can't be bothered to check out a major attack on the Republic.

The whole thing is a massive national disgrace, and a threat to our most basic institution of free and fair elections.

Meanwhile, I continue trying to get one of my handguns back from the police in Wilmington. Last May, we had gone to one of our homes in Wilmington where we had some issue with the a/c. The Diplowife and I stood in front of the house dealing with the repairman with our backs to our Chevy truck parked next to a copse of trees. Without us noticing, a creepy creep klepto creepily crept through said copse upon the Chevy, opened the truck door, stole my wife's purse and my Sig P365. Obsessed with the a/c issue, we never noticed, at all! When we got back home, we found two police cars in our driveway and three officers wandering around our yard and knocking on our front door. We pulled up, identified ourselves; one officer asked my wife if she had her purse. "Yes, in the car." He asked her please to get it; she reached into the vehicle, and blurted out, "It's missing." He then asked if I had a gun in the car, and I said, "Yes." He asked if I could retrieve it. The gun, too, had vanished. He asked me to describe the handgun, which I did; he said they had recovered it and my wife's purse. A fellow by the name of Yusuf Abdesalam, had stolen the items. Instead of calling it a successful day, returning to his cave with the ill-gotten swag, greedy Yusuf continued his activities. The police snagged him some 20 minutes after he stole from our truck, as tried to break into other vehicles in an nearby neighborhood. Ol' Yusuf, apparently a Somali "refugee," has a long rap sheet; one wonders why, given his criminal record, he roams the streets or even remains in our country. We got my wife's purse back the next day, but the gun, ah, the gun, the officers informed, would remain in the police evidence locker until the end of the legal process.

OK, to make this long story even longer, as we drove to Miami, an attorney in the DA's office called to say the "process" had ended: the scruffy one had received a sentence, and I could get my gun back. Well, as it turns out, not really--nope, not that simple. A whole other process must now begin wherein the police run a complete background/criminal check ON ME before I can get back my legally purchased gun. They will send me some forms to fill out and turn in . . . ah, the wheels of justice . .  .

It feels like a Monday.

Off to walk the beasts.

  1. I have stopped leaving firearms in my vehicles. There has been a huge increase in car prowls and package thefts in Oregon due to the lack of prosecution of people for these types of crimes. I know it is nice to have a glove box pistol or such handy in case you are not carrying, but the chances that I would have one of my firearms stolen and worse, crimes committed with it is a huge deterrent to not leave them unattended at anytime.

I am with Scott Adams, in believing that even if there is massive fraud discovered and states are unable to certify their elections that the media will pay no attention to it and insist on Biden being sworn in. They think that because they were able to suppress the Hunter Biden story, and are currently suppressing anything hinting at vote fraud on social media. The Media/Donk/Tech cabal really thinks that they can just say Biden won, and have him installed, even if courts say otherwise.

    1. So far... (and only so far), it appears that courts aren't stepping in... the challenge to Pennsylvania was dismissed. Arizona challenges have also been fully dropped.
Doesn't mean Biden 'won', but it does mean there's yet no grounds for revisiting the results.

It is possible that America is more deluded than we'd like, and actually did vote for this disaster. I'm certain that every peer I know from a broken family voted against Trump. It's possible a few non-malcontents also voted against Trump, but I don't know of any first hand.

The Democrats, media, and big tech *are* influential on Americans. It shouldn't surprise anybody that they *can* swing an election through lies and subterfuge alone. Lying to the public is not only legal, it's a time honored progressive tradition dating back to the global swindles of Marx and Engels.

    4. My suspicion is that widespread fraud is basically impossible to prove without proper voter ID laws and crosschecking in person ballots with mailed ones. When you westerners set up the "free and fair"(ROFL) first elections in the third world hellhole from whence I came , the very first thing you insisted on was voter ID cards for EVERY voter - no exceptions. I find it absolutely bizarre that people in the US and Canada can vote without picture ID , unlike basicall every other democracy in the world. I think what happened is simple - millions of illegals voted in person and possible millions of others voted 70's African style - vote early , vote often by voting both by mail and in person , knowing that the reconciliation system basically doesn't exist. These would mostly be properly marked votes with matching signatures , so basically "legal votes" - recounting them won't help...

  3. Sooooo...what happens if Biden is sworn in and a month later it ruled that their was fraud and Trump was the actual winner?
In Bob Dornan's case the Courts stalled the case then finally ruled that illegal aliens had voted for Sanchez and Dornan did win the election. However, since Congress had already been seated the Courts refused to remove Sanchez, referring to the separation of powers and it was Congress who had to decide how to remedy the situation. The Democrat Congress kept Sanchez in the seat.
I can see the same thing...the Court declaring Trump the rightful winner but deferring to the Democrat controlled House to decide.

    1. IF the Constitution is followed (big IF these days) and the election is referred to Congress, Trump wins. Each state gets one vote; the majority of states are Republican controlled. He would get 26 or 27 votes of the 50 possible.

Anything less than 'off with his gun hand' is an insult to law-abiding society as well as failure of CRIME Prevention! Who the heck do these alleged prosecuters and judges think they are? As "Billy" himself might have lectured on the "Sin of Tolerance":

"The word tolerant means liberal and broad-minded. In one sense, it implies the compromise of one’s convictions, a yielding of ground upon important issues. We have become tolerant about divorce, the use of alcohol, delinquency, wickedness in high places, immorality, crime and godlessness."

Seems we're OVERDUE for a reevaluation of our tolerance of BAD Behavior by the courts, as a Societal GOOD, when in actuality they've got it exactly ass backwards!

  7. "I know it is nice to have a glove box pistol or such handy in case you are not carrying"... Salvorhardin

It’s Even more than nice, when in defense of family & self, such a pistole is nearby! The Truth is tho, NOT all of us are fortunate enough to be living in CC or Open Carry states. Or even in those oddball states that require 2-3 moves to access your sidearm, when traveling xcountry! Concealed Carry has its own downside, especially if your pistol 'prints' through your clothes/person -- a zealous Peace officer et al, may become a BIG problem for gunowners, same for open carry.

I was torn, between carrying heat, and NOT, during a West Coast family trip. Thankfully, I decided to open carry a Shotgun on the driver-side of my vehicle, and a Locked down pistol in my glove-box.

Funny thing was, I got stopped by a Highway patrolman even before getting out of the state! I had just bought a Blue & White window Van/camper, which had “delightful Disney Snoopy curtains”, plus my Staffordshire Bulldog, Spike, was riding shotgun between me and my Mrs. AnyhOWL flashing Blue lights and sirens got my attention, so I pulled right over, in a very careful manner~~~

Smokey stepped out of his vehicle, adjusted his chin strap, and sidled up along my Van. On his way he was greeted through the port-hole window behind me, by the secured barrel and fore stock of my shotgun, upright, butt plate down, at Parade Rest.
Through the side mirror I see him pull an "Eyes Right", as he passes, on to my Drivers window. With Hands UPon the wheel, I say, good-day officer...

Spike doesn't say a word, and the wife in the passenger seat, smiled, she didn't even need a cue! Smokey asks me to step out w/ my Lic & Reg. I swing out, and Spike falls right in behind me, the Patrolman Laughed out Loud, Spike just followed me to the rear of the Van. Where I put him back inside thru the Rear Door! The Smokey was grinning ear to ear, He takes a look at my papers, and says, “I stopped you because you failed to stop at the weigh-in station.” Said I, didn't know I should, said he, "a lot of drugs are passing through here", I reply aye aye sir. He says "I saw you had nothing in the back, but you might want to restrain the dog before he gets hurt"... Both of us smiling, we shook hands, and I shoved off, he turned around and headed back to the weigh-in, I guess, but Nary a word about the 12 Ga. Shotgun!!

The rest of the voyage was fairly relaxing and peaceful, at least until we got to AZ., where “it’s a Dry Heat”! Suffice to say, my ‘shotgun and pistol’, went on to convince some late nite bike riding hombres, to avoid my Camp, of course Spike didn’t look too friendly either. . . even when they hOWled like cayotes!

Getting back to NC now, I decided to snoop around and see if that Scruffy Somali had a track record. And, while I didn’t find him in the news, I did uncover another 2020 case of vehicle invasion that was tragic:

Henderson County Deputy Ryan Hendrix died Thursday afternoon, hours after he was shot while he and other deputies responded to a call about a “vehicle break-in”. Hendrix, 35, was a member of the SWAT team, a Marine veteran and father of a 9-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son, according to Blue Ridge Now.

    1. I suspect the two fixes are simple- picture ID for everyone and paper ballots with human counters. Simple. Pretty sure that's why democrats hate both those ideas.....

      Delete
    2. "Simple", yes it can be, map'ster, with honest & diligent Photo ID checkers, Ballot counters, and Poll workers. Problem remains tho with the high Pop.venues, when an approved 'simple system', fails to allow a quick f/u audit confirmatiom of the original count.

In my voting venue we have a photo ID check, plus a scanned signature sign-in desk (pen provided), and voter receives a numbered confirmation chit -- when the ID process is complete>>>

the pospective voter then steps over to the Ballot Issue Desk and presents that Numbered ID chit to the Poll worker, who has the voter 'sign the chit', and then writes the ID # from the chit onto the bubble-in ballot>>>

Voter then proceeds to their, user selected stand-up voting desk, shielded from view on top, bottom, and sides, and then begins the buble-in process>>>

When the ballot is complete, dated and signed to the voters satisfaction, he collects the ballot pages(2 in my case) and proceeds to the Ballot collection device for, scan-in, machine count & copy, Plus, the locked storage cabinet below, containing the original ballots... also if desired, proudly receive the "I VOTED TODAY" sticker from the Machine Attendent! L@@k ma, no purple fingers!

A little grab-ass, and chit-chat with the neighbors in line, and a drive-by shout out to the various candidates and their sign-wavers lining the street!

Cheer up. The executive order Trump signed in 2018 declared a national emergency concerning foreign interference in US elections. Both Dominion and Scytyl, whose programs were used in the swing and other states, are foreign companies. This, in addition to fraud, might provide another basis for overturning the election.

(NEA), section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (8 U.S.C. 1182(f)), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,

I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the ability of persons located, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States to interfere in or undermine public confidence in United States elections, including through the unauthorized accessing of election and campaign infrastructure or the covert distribution of propaganda and disinformation, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Although there has been no evidence of a foreign power altering the outcome or vote tabulation in any United States election, foreign powers have historically sought to exploit America’s free and open political system. In recent years, the proliferation of digital devices and internet-based communications has created significant vulnerabilities and magnified the scope and intensity of the threat of foreign interference, as illustrated in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.

  11. Often when a unit is pushed back in combat, it doesn’t mean the battle has been lost, but the lost ground does weigh heavily on the unit and it probably doesn’t help that the embedded reporter in the unit is the one the world is getting their news from. When the Generals’ spokespersons tell people that there is a plan to win the battle, are they going to tell people their precise plans? No, I have faith that they know what they are doing. There will be setbacks and blunders, but all this vote counting and lawyering is a smoke screen - a preparation for the real battle to come, the presentation of existing evidence that the voting system was tampered with and therefore the election cannot be accepted. Until the pre-battle space is prepared - to go from 0 to 100% of a rather “unbelievable” topic to the average American is difficult to accept. If a person says this Mountain is too tough to climb, we say - we built in switchbacks. When that person goes to the top, the person may realize that the truth was not on the mountain itself, but on the other mountains that they are able to now see. There are a million and one things that can go wrong and the battle is lost, but the “war” doesn’t end - not if one cares about the Republic, I am in this to the end. Never give in and never give up.
