Good or Bad for the Jews

Exhausted by the Fraud

I haven't blogged in several days as the six regular readers of this little exercise in narcissism can attest. Quite aside from life intruding on what I would rather be doing, I have been suffering a form of writer's block, no, worse, an overwhelming reluctance to look, again, at what this horrid presidential misadministraiton is doing to my country. Everywhere I look, I see the people, starting with the president, in charge of government doing things to undermine the country they ostensibly serve. The damage being done is great, and I fear it will be long-lasting if not permanent. I am not just talking about a policy here or there. Our leaders, better said, rulers, have embarked on a radical transformation of the nation, and rely for support on a vociferous band composed of mediocre academics, "journalists," low-to-no-information voters, non-taxpayers, dole recipients, and, of course, illegal aliens and their activists. This band of brothers and sisters supporting this misadministration aids and abets the fraud at every possible opportunity.

Yes, fraud. We see fraud throughout the electoral process, and it is growing. Not only are non-citizens voting, but they are being facilitated in that by being issued valid state ids--right here in California, for example--which makes moot the whole argument about voter id being needed. The fraud, however, is not limited to the mechanics of the electoral process. We see massive fraud in the running of public assistance programs; in the way the Obamacare disaster was sold; in how the misadministration handled the Benghazi and the "Fast and Furious" disasters; in how the IRS operates against political opponents of the regime; the government's manipulation of job and other economic data; in the steady stream of lies about and rewrites of recent events be they in the realm of domestic or foreign affairs. And on and on and on. The next big fraud being, of course, a push to "reform" immigration so that we can import even more poverty and put even more people on the dole and enter them into the rolls of Democratic voters.

In foreign affairs, to just cite one little example, we now see our cadaverous Secretary of State, a man with a long history of fraud, himself, off to Geneva to, no sense beating about the bush, bless the Iranian nuclear program. I would not be at all surprised if the final act of the "negotiations" in Geneva is not moved to a railway car in Compiègne so that Kerry can formally surrender to the Ayatollahs. The misadminsitration after years of telling us that it would not stand for an Iranian bomb, is now selling out Israel, Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and, more important, our own vital interests and attracting little in the way of critical media attention. The surrenders in Iraq and Syria served as samplers; now comes the big box of chocolates.

I just can't say anything more right now. Give me a couple of days and I will write some pompous piece on what needs to be done.

Off to play with my dog. He is not pompous or a fraud. No lies. Just pure joy in being alive.

  1. These people have never read Tony Cordesman's paper on an Israeli-Iranian war. He estimate 600,000 Israeli deaths and the destruction of Iran as a nation state. He also predicts it would be the end of the Age of Petroleum as the middle east would take decades to recover. His study was written before the magnitude of the fracking revolution was seen.

They are stumbling into catastrophe in several areas. Healthcare is only one.

  2. Play with the dog. Enjoy!

Now, set up his campaign committee, for he couldn't be as foolish as the current maladministration. I'd vote for rather than Fauxcohontas Warren, Hilliary, or SLow Joe.

By the way, don't forget the ongoing bank robberies by this crop. As Professor Bainbridge noted, Sarbanes/Oxley and Dodd/Frank are prime examples of quackery masquerading as finance and corporate government reform.

    1. "Ongoing bank robberies!" You nailed it, Green Bear. See my post below about the usefulness of new "immigrants!"

Pantsuit for the Poor 2016 KaChing!!!!

The new Affordable Illegal Act, passed by the 2016 Congress will have buried in small print the requirement that all new "citizens" must, must take out a subprime car loan with interest payments due to Goldman Sucks.

  3. As one of "your six regular readers," I welcome you back, sir!

I have another take on the importation of impoverished peoples from the south. These people are ignorant and illiterate. Who better to make into new debt slaves? Get them "legal" and then sign them up for car loans, credit cards and even home loans! Have the taxpayer backstop the loans and then print, print, print! If the "new citizens" don't make the interest payments, threaten to take away their new found "benefits." Crafty banksters!

  4. And all the while, Obama our closet Muslim smiles and marvels at just what a bunch of easy marks the American Dhimmi's turned out to be.

    1. I doubt he's a closet Muslim. He's a not-really-in-the-closet nihilist, in the fashionable lefty manner. For instance:

Muslims want to kill everyone else who doesn't submit, especially the Jews. Many non-Muslims want not to submit and yet to stay alive--even the Jews. Obama sees the merits of both sides of the argument--from a distance.

He doesn't really care, but would probably be okay with splitting the difference: letting the Muslims kill mostly just the Jews. Of course, it would actually involve targets "of more general interest", as it has been said. But that's down the road. And even that is not all that important. To him.

    2. G'day Alpha,

Since the founding of modern Israel in 1948 the Islamic States and their terrorist offshoots haven't had a great deal of success in eliminating the State of Israel and its inhabitants as several wars have shown.

I doubt we'll ever again see a scenario of compliant Jews climbing into cattle trucks or their equivalent to be shipped off to extermination camps as in the early 1940's.

If Israel does go down it will go down fighting with everything at its disposal and the cost to those attacking will be horrendous.

Perhaps Obama will replace Neville Chamberlain as the Great Appeaser and we know how that ended up - six years of war for my father [and four of his five brothers] and his generation.

Let us hope that someone with a bit of spine and a knowledge of history and the 1400 year war Islam has been waging on the west will step up in your country.

  5. My dear Diplomad, if you cannot bear to write about the present, for the present, and no one could blame you, then write about the past: your adventures in furthering the American interest, back when that was considered a good thing.

(I thought there weren't going to be any more references to your six readers. There are more than six.)

    1. Reader number five concurs. The Diplomad's best comes from the tales of the "fictional" past. I enjoy reading about the times when America didn't fumble the ball.

    2. G'day Whitewall,

Where does this bloke Anonymous fit into the hierarchy of the thirteen?

There are at least two readers from Down Under - Brett [in a post following] and myself and, if my failing memory serves me, at least one in the UK.

Methinks Dip will have to review his estimate of six.

      Cheers,

    3. G'day David...there I did it! Always wanted to say that. I think Anonymous here is like "Kilroy" in WW 2. I think there are at least two more from Down Under. At least one I have talked to. Our Diplomad suffers from West Coast math as opposed to East Coast where I am. The west coast has their ocean on the wrong side so nothing works right. Or he is extremely modest.

    4. G'day Whitewall,

Spoken like a true Aussie. The accent was perfect "Outback Northern Territory" - well done.

Our folks in Western Australia have the same problem as Californians with the ocean being on the wrong side - also the time difference as occasionally they forget that while they are still at work most civilised people on the East Coast have knocked off and gone for a beer - with the exception of our national capitol, Canberra, where they never started work anyway.

Nothing worse than some drongo wanting to talk business when you are enjoying the first cold beer of the day.

      Cheers,

  7. I read, always enjoy, and only sometimes comment.

Downunder, we lived through 6 years of this BS, and I spent most of it feeling like you are now feeling. We came through it, and so will you, largely for the same reasons. They went too far, and damaged too many ordinary people who ordinarily are not politically engaged. That said, your despondency is rational and understandable; but a little canine therapy goes a long way.

    3. While, historically, that has been true in some contexts, it isn't really so in this case. I was referring to the fact that we suffered under a very similar left government, which we recently voted out. The Australian voters did that; no one else.

  8. As one of the supportive six, I have to admit that I'm more a cat lover myself...

Hey, I got riffed from the State Department back in the 1990's, a victim of the Peace Dividend. I felt life was so unfair, and went into a funk. My diplowife almost kicked me out. Now, I realize that I was spared the overwhelming disgrace of serving under Shrillary Shrew and Hatchetface Kerry--including being a tacit supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood's genocidal actions against Christians in Egypt and Syria (and the Nasserite/Ba'athi destruction of the millennia-old Jewish communities in those lands was despicable enough!).

Seriously, Mr. Amselem, why don't you give us some of your memoirs of a far more extensive and critical Foreign Service career than mine, and your insights into what may have made certain administrations and their key players tick? That might be a valuable resource for lots of people interested in God's mysterious providential ways concerning drunkards, fools, little children, and the USA (as Otto von Bismarck once put it). We'd also be interested in your perspectives on the countries where you've served.

And take the advice given by at least Brett and a6z!

  9. It's dark here where I am and quiet. The only real sound a dog barking in the distance. This must have how it felt to some in July -August 1914. We have a fool in Geneva trying to finalize a deal to sell a country of millions into desolation or worse. He is joined by a host of second rate fools all afraid to be left out of the limelight. All feverishly toiling to enable our latter day Neville (that's actually a little unfair to Neville) to wave the metaphorical "peace in our time" paper in the face of the world. Then there is Bibi, with a decision to make. May God's hand shield Israel and give it the strength it needs.
History teaches us nothing stays the same and no one is immune to bad fortune, but for us of all people to sell the Jews down the river is hard to take.

    1. Bibi will not "go gently into that good night." Neville actually had his country's best interests at heart. I'm not sure that applies in Obama's case.

Sadly, my college roommate, a FSO for some years, was a Kerry volunteer in 2004. My ex-wife stays in touch with him.

    2. "Neville actually had his country's best interests at heart" I believe it, or Churchill would not have said what he did at Neville's funeral.
As for your roommate, well it takes all kinds in the world. My real beef with Kerry goes back 40yrs and there will be no forgiveness.
