Citing a report in The Blaze, The Gateway Pundit tells us that,
Charlene Lamb, cited for failures in leadership from the Department of State’s own Accountability Review Board report, has been promoted to Regional Security Officer. We’ve heard rumor that she’s slated for international duty in Canada. She started the security officer training last week, much to the dismay of many within the State Department.
For those not keeping track, Charlene Lamb was in charge of the office that denied extra security personnel to the U.S. Ambassador in Libya before the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks. To the seven or eight readers of this blog, this should come as no surprise.
On December 27, 2012, I predicted this would happen; that only would nobody be fired, but that promotions would come,
Once even the little dust created by the scandal has dissipated, the four bureaucrats asked to take the mini-spear for Chicago will--mark my words--get monetary awards. They will be written up for showing courage and fortitude under difficult circumstances. The senior people will evade all responsibility; ol' whats-her-name will slip out of the building and leave her desk to John "Xmas in Cambodia" Kerry, the dead will be forgotten, the Islamist Morlocks will lick their fingers and get ready for another helping of Eloi.
All unfolds as foretold by Diplodamus . . .
They so ignore the sensibilities of a powerful portion of the public, while inflaming many, with no hesitation, can anyone speak to the "real" agenda? They can't be so obtuse, can they, really? At the least it speaks to their utter disrespect and disregard of the populace, clearly there is an evil power trip ongoing.

Go ahead, say "I told you so." You did, after all, tell us so. And you're entitled to get a little joy out of life.
ReplyDeleteIn the Battle between Chicago and Foggy Bottom, put your money on Foggy Bottom . . .
ReplyDeleteYou've said essentially this before. I can't tell you how much I hope you are right.
DeleteThat's just insane. I'm guessing a backlash getting them fired still wouldn't be enough to loosen tongues on what was actually going on and why these people are getting paid off for failing? If they were completely out of a job, they'd probably just find sacks of cash on their doorsteps.
ReplyDeleteBenghazi is the only thing that *could* stand between Hillary and the white house at this point, sadly.

On the optimistic side, perhaps she could become head of security for the SOS's traveling delegation.
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me from 'over here' that it's pay-off time! She took the 'incoming' and kept her mouth shut about exactly how far up the line the irresponsibility went and now she collects.
ReplyDeleteI still remember the slight shock I had when 'HillBilly' arrived for her first day at the State Dept. and a huge crowd of supposedly 'neutral' civil servants gathered outside to applaud her. (Yes, I know, such naïveté in one so old as me!)
You nailed it.
DeleteDavid, it's Shrillary Shrooooooo, not HillBilly. I've known too many less-than-affluent Appalachian white people to use Hillbilly as an insult. The average Hillbilly is actually a God-fearing, hard-working, fairly decent sort.
DeleteFurther, I married into the Southern Chinese equivalent culture (Hakka/Kejia/客家).
That's OK. Consul Obamus Africanus has said he will bypass Congress to "get things done" and he'll be saying it at his SOTU address.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what the MSM and their ilk would say and write if Bush had said something like that.
All unfolds as foretold by Diplodamus . . .When you can "Latinize" your name, that puts you in the big leagues :)
ReplyDeleteso the followers of Diplodamus are what.. Diplodami, or do we do a latin-greek Diplodamodes?
Deletelatter sounds cooler.

Latter is way more cool. But from what I have seen of us...we are simply lucky and wise.
DeleteDiplodamus Callidus!
DeleteI have some sympathy for the woman, we all know the real culprits who denied security at Benghazi-Shrillary and Patrick Kennedy. If I remember correctly Charlene Lamb was a lady progressing in years, not one of the bright young things endemic in the halfrican queens administration. She is obviously the designated scapegoat, and will work a few more years in anonymity conveniently close to her family, rewarded for being a team player.
ReplyDeleteCanada as we all know is a hotbed of terrorist activity, her days will be filled with action.
Wasn't Charlene Lamb the State Dept. person that testified under oath that the small budget cut imposed by the congress had nothing to do with the lack of security in Benghazi?
ReplyDeleteFunny how the Dems are now claiming that budget cuts caused the Bernghazi massacre.
"In the Battle between Chicago and Foggy Bottom, put your money on Foggy Bottom "
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity they can't both lose.
