ISIS must be trembling . . .
I am so glad not to be in the Department now.
Wracked with angst over the fate of our beloved and horribly misgoverned Republic, the DiploMad returns to do battle on the world wide web, swearing death to political correctness, and pulling no punches.
Many years ago, and for many years, I would travel to Morocco to visit uncles, cousins, and my paternal grandmother. Some lived in Tangiers;...

ReplyDeleteIf only it were that! Just a movie . . .
ReplyDeleteso, if i were still in, i would demand equal opportunity. it used to be, and likely still is, that having firearms (even locked at home) during an overseas assignment was either forbidden or subject to the c.o.m.'s discretionary approval. as for inviting a bunch of female bikini babes to a private party in the embassy swimming pool, anyone who has been there knows that such a thing "simply isnt done..." add hillary's private server email crimes and im glad that i retired before drowning in the hypocritical b.s.

Well.
ReplyDeleteRepeating celebrations like that in oh, forty or so countries I can think of would probably include fireworks too.
God help us.
Can't wait for islam to over take the Dominican Republic. These libturds will be some of the first to be eliminated from the local population.
ReplyDeleteHeltau
The Dominican republic has 30 thousand street kids involved in the sex trade, one third of them boys.

In the third world, the gay agenda does not translate to two gays entering a faithful marriage, but pressure for the gov'ts not to arrest or prosecute those raping their children.
It doesn't here, either. I know too many gays to be ignorant of their interest in young boys. Gay marriages are "open" which means what you think it does.
DeleteFor those who read Spanish, the comments from readers in the DR on the news article are quite interesting. Most seemed genuinely repulsed by this show of gayness.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect in a country where la parabla del m---n que yo no hablo is just about the worst thing you can call a man? I suspect that a lot of Dominicans now think that their worst suspicions about the USA have been vindicated.
DeleteAlso, when I was being trained for service in Thailand, the teacher lauded Thailand for being such a "cool" and "open-minded" country because the elder statesman, former PM Mom Rachawong Kukrit Pramoj was bisexual. I later found out that the newspaper editor who outed him went to jail for insulting one of His Majesty's relatives. So much for a country "cool" about its sexual deviants. This was one of the things that made me guess that we junior FSO's weren't being taught by the sharpest knives in the drawer.
As for boinky's, I was Vice Consul in Bangkok for two years, and know something of the sordidness of the sex trade, whether it caters to hetero- or homosexuals. One reason why I believe that our Supreme Court has covered the nation with shame is because I doubt that men who enjoy giving and getting the equivalent of a prostate exam are healthy; and if their jaunts abroad often end up bu%%ering underage partners abroad, I doubt they're going to be too careful of our own young. In the school where I teach, I've seen the "health" class show a laudatory film about that vile predator Harvey Milk.
I also don't get what the Ambassador to DR wants to tell his hosts. I also foresee a lot of credibility attaching to hostile propaganda that sees the USA as involved in child trafficking under the cover of "adoption". But the LGBT lobby will see to it that abuse of adoptees won't be covered.
I think that a lot of the world will be repulsed by our support of perversion.
Would rather scotus have declared that all marriage was unconstitutional.
DeleteTo me, almost whenever there's a divisive issue, government is attempting to do too much. Divisive issues should be pushed down to the most local level possible, as only there can people really fine tune how they want their communities to function. And only there can we provide sufficient heterogeneity of options for our people to choose a place to live. There is the traditional US government role of a collective defense, but this incessant homogenization of culture is just ridiculous.

I suspect you might find yourself back at State in 18 months...with the equivalent of a monster power washer. :-)
ReplyDeleteHammerli280, I hope you're right about our blog host here. But I'm more concerned that a Shrillary Shrooooooo or Elizabeth Fauxahontas Warren administration will get us in up to our ears in some inextricable quagmire in some Islamic 粪堆 of a country.
DeleteAnd, I'll admit that recently our adult Sunday School has been going through Samuel and Kings in the Old Testament. I'm just superstitious enough that some humiliation at the hands of a culture that produces little beyond slums surrounded by deserts will be the divine payback we get.
BTW, Mr. Amselem, is Wally Brewster career Foreign Service or a political appointee?
As much as I personally would prefer that, I just can't see politics changing sufficiently enough to put anybody but more liberal idiots at the helm in the foreseeable future. Turns out, telling people you're going to give them free stuff with no strings attached is a good short terms sales pitch.

Where's the diversity? Looks like mostly white men. I trust the EEO office is investigating.
ReplyDeleteWell, guys, what did the cannibal say when he saw the picture shared with us?
ReplyDeleteMy, what a wonderful fruit salad!

Ai yi yiii, what has become of your great country?
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th July, independence day, hopefully a new independence movement can purge this nonsense before it is too late.
The halfrican queen has indeed fundamentally transformed your government.
Well, Well, Well. They really are feeling their oats aren't they. They've crossed the Rubicon and they think they've got the winning hand. I wonder if it's occurred to them that there is no going back now. If that dawns on them then their tactics will get even more extreme and hysterical, if that's possible to imagine.

The triumphalism is astonishing. You would think they were more than 2% of the population.

Got it right this time.

A Confederate flag, a piece of U.S. history (for better or worse), cannot fly on the grounds of a U.S. state capitol to honor the dead, and retail enterprises are cowed into pulling such merchandise from their shelves, but the diplomatic representative of the United States in another country can entertain homosexuals and our Embassy in the UK flies rainbow flags, and the Pentagon celebrates Gay Pride Month. I am so sick of this -- is it over yet?
ReplyDeleteAs a great man once said, however (from memory), "A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have." If we swing even more away from Rule of Law towards Rule of Men, we may live long enough to see that come to pass.... to our great regret.
First it was forbidden, then it was tolerated, and now it's celebrated. I guess you had to get out before it became mandatory.
ReplyDeletewhat makes you think you can run or hide from "mandatory" wherever you go? Or..this is why record numbers of American citizens are renouncing citizenship and moving on.
