London, Again

I can't write much more about this topic. It's all been said, so many, many times. The murdering SOBs have struck again in the heart of the one of the world's greatest cities. The British armed police reacted quickly and effectively, killing the three rampaging jihadis in a hail of bullets within eight minutes of the start of attack. Attack is the word: as I wrote years ago, when it comes to the Islamists, "We are under attack, when we should be at war."

Now the usual lefty proggy search for "answers" and "motives" begins. We hear, of course, the calls to avoid a backlash against Muslims because they follow a Religion of Peace. We see the lashing out at President Trump for calling again for greater travel restrictions (not a "ban") on citizens from certain jihadi-providing countries. I am sick of this script. I am sick of the teddy bears, flowers, empty "motivational" slogans, and hashtags.

PM May has boldly stated, "Enough is enough!" Really? So whatcha gonna do, Madam? What are all of our leaders going to do?

How many more deaths before the brutal reality of what we have done to our cities and societies becomes apparent? How many more must die before our governments do what governments are supposed to do: protect us from the killers, or, at least, allow us to protect ourselves.

Disgusted beyond words.

  1. With the increase in simplistic terrorist attacks, stabbing and vehicle run overs for example, efforts to force assimilation of immigrants and refugees is ever more necessary whether PC or not, however most of the attacks in Europe and the US are done by native born children of immigrants or refugees who should already be assimilated. But even when these citizens go to fight for ISIS, there doesn't seem to be any consequences. Yes, they may be surveilled, but resources to do so are limited.
Presently we do not have enemies in an official manner as provided by the Constitution. Without an enemy, suppressing people who are citizens but work with or follow ISIS cannot be legally arrested or confined unless they take active steps towards terrorism. They have their full constitutional rights, as any other citizen.
Some pundits are now discussing proposals for internment for those presently under surveillance in the UK and US. The experience of the US interning all those of Japanese heritage during WWII by a FDR executive order was certainly extremely excessive. Even American citizens were interned with no evidence of pro-Japanese activism. We interned few German or Italian Americans during the war. To me it was a continuation of the Californian anti oriental bias exhibited for generations.
IMO, the only legal and moral way we could intern actual ISIS supporters/activists who are US citizens or otherwise residing in the US would be to declare actual constitutional war against ISIS and associated terrorist organizations. Such a declaration, if possible, would create an official enemy allowing the suspension of 1st Amendment rights because of sedition statutes and allow the arrest of such citizens with the 4th and 5th Amendments intact for all, even them. Presently all we seemly can do legally is watch suspicious persons until they actively plan or perform an attack. In the Constitution under Article 1 Section 8 Congress has the power, "To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water" Al-Qaeda declared war on us in 1996, but we never actually returned the favor.

    1. Actually, a good bit of the answer is fairly simple, and was employed against the KKK, the CPUSA, the Black Panthers and other groups: Infiltrate and undermine. There were probably as many FBI informants as actual true believers in most of those groups. EVERY mosque and Islamic school/training center should be so treated.Rigorous monitoring with serious follow-up of any hint of jihadism or tolerance thereof.

You are wrong about Germans in WWII. One reason we did not have sabotage was that thousands of Germans were jailed by Hoover without trial after Pearl Harbor. The German American Bund had thousands of members. The FBI had made lists of suspicious people, and Hoover had them sent to camps. Many were US citizens.

Since the law prevented those from Japan becoming citizens, most of the adults were aliens, it was the children who were citizens. So it made sense that if you were to intern Japanese citizens, they keep their children with them. They did not know if they could trust these enemy aliens.

We look back at 1942 with eyes that do not see what they saw. They did not know if they could trust aliens. For us to judge with 20-20 hindsight is the height of hubris. They did not know if a fleet of Japanese aircraft carriers was going to rain down death from the sky. They did not know they could trust people born in Japan to support America.

For us to think today that because it turned out that you could trust, that we should do nothing to question followers of allah is a mistake. We need to ask those who belong to a warrior religion, that from its founding has fought and killed, can we trust you? This is a matter of life and death. Who can we trust? This is our most important question today.

I agree we need to declare war on IS.

And as we have learned, a LIE (taqiyya)is what we can expect in reply from a Muslim "warrior", as a matter of his creed.

And thank you PresbyCat, for reminding us about the historical facts viz U.S. internment of German and Japanese people during WWII.

  2. THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
    by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

    They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
    No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

    It was not suddently bred.
    It will not swiftly abate.
    Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

So, I'll believe they mean business when I see it happen.

  3. Somewhat off topic, but I've picked up an interesting book to recommend to all the others here. It's _The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise: Muslims, Christians, and Jews under Islamic RUle in Medieval Spain_, by Dario Fernandez-Morera. It debunks the common narrative of Muslim Spain and the MulitCultie Lost Arcadia, pointing out that it was a savage case of imperial conquest and looting, with the Muslims lording it over the Dhimmi. Interestingly enough, the author makes a wide use not only of Spanish sources, but also Muslim ones.

I, as most other informed Americans, sadly remember Kate Stienle's murder while walking with her Father, on the pier, and most of us certainly don't believe it's a safe or secure city. Still I did a quick search for San Fran murders to get an idea just how dangerous a place it is - results revealed dozens of murders, and other physical assaults. Not surprising when we read the testimony of the illegal immigrant who murdered her:

"After admitting to shooting and killing 32-year-old Kate Steinle, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an illegal alien, was asked why he had come to San Francisco.

He responded that “he knew San Francisco was a sanctuary city where he would not be pursued by immigration officials.”

Sounds to me that "Sanctuary City" presents as a welcome mat for criminals of all stripes, including violent criminal aliens! Seems that prosecution of City officers, as well as defunding the cities of Federal Tax dollars appears to be the best way toward pumping out the Sanctuary City cesspools!

  6. Above, Kepha recommended a book, "The Myth of the Andalusian Paradise: Muslims, Christians, and Jews under Islamic Rule in Medieval Spain by Dario Fernandez-Morera"

In reply 'babs'provided a link to an audio interview of the Author by "Good Books Radio" host Dr. John Cook; et.al a scholarly questioner, whose patient style evoked Morea's articulate recitation of the historic facts, practices, and events supporting his unmasking of the MYTHical assertion that Muslims, Jews, and Christians lived in an Andulusian Paradise under tolerant Islamic Rule in Medieval Spain.

Following that 1/2 hour, Dennis Prager, signed-in to question Prof. Morera, when asked about Obama's touting the historic toleration of Islam he states that even Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was touting the Caliphate as "Highly Tolerant" to advocate for moderation in US reaction to Islamic terrorism! After debunking the notion of a Jewish Golden Age, and listening to the remainder of eye-opening interview in the native New Yorker's familiar NYC dialect. I was packing up to leave the room, when I saw Michael Savage's Red White and Blue banner, offering his interview/interrogation of the "Andulusian Myth" author.

I love Savage, I think I went to school with him... anywayze, while the first 2 interviewers, had 30 min each for an in depth discussion of the Myth of Muslim tolerance, Professor, Savage only had 10 minutes to do his podcast with the Morera. So if you only have a short time, click on Michael's offering, you'll get the gist of it, as well as how closely the actual barbarous Islamic Rule in Medieval Spain foreshadows the Islamic terror we are enduring today!

"Guardian reporter Lisa O’Carroll is at Borough Market, where she says multiple stabbings have been reported:

Witnesses said they saw two men stabbing people outside the well-known Roast restaurant in Borough market. A chef from the nearby Fish restaurant said: “I saw two guys with big knives downstairs outside Roast. They were stabbing people. The police were running away, they were community police. They were normal officers, they were running away."

    >>In other words, those COPs were unarmed! And were supposed to take a shiv in the neck for her Majesty!<<

And how will Mrs May act, what are her visions ? Well, how will the rest of the European leaders act ? The irresolution and hesitation is palpable, we all feel it. They have brought this pestilence upon us, now they are afraid, and they ask of us, the ordinary people, not to be afraid.
They must start with the mosques, the snake pits. It can´t be that controversial to demand that all the preaching must be done in the language spoken where the mosque is situated. And then infiltrate, infiltrate. And be quick to close the mosque as soon an anything , even minor, unlawful happens. Harass this "religion", all the time. Let them have it, unleash the tax-authorities upon them. There are much money-laundering and frauds and swindles going on in their mosques and organisations. Wasn´t that the way the US broke the Mafia ? Well, this is just another Mafia, but far more dangerous and blood-thirsty of course.

That tool should be on his/her patrol belt,in addition to mace, a stun gun, and a "baton" to put rowdy drunks to sleep, or crack kneecaps! As it is, the Britts, her tourists, and most of Western civilization as well, are but sheep, waiting for terrorist slaughter to snuff out their innocent lives in the night! And whether they do or they don't kill all of us, the Jihadis are accomplishing their objective to strike fear in their targets, and destroy our civilization, brick by brick, body by body! 13. Britain has many starting points: make Anjem Choudary's 5 year sentence a life sentence in isolation from all outside contact and anyone who has less than a life sentence. Any mosque associated with him- bulldoze it, plant or build something quintessentially English on the spot. Are there "no go zones" in London? Organize the armed police and coordinate with the military to make them "ok to go zones" for everyone.

Identify publicly all the elected officials and police who looked the other way while Muslim men raped young girls repeatedly. People need to go in large numbers to the homes of these cowards and occupy their lawns and bring signs of condemnation...pitch forks optional.

  14. Maybe it's just me, but Run, Hide and Tell is not my way to go, waiting for death. I have better ideas the police would never tell people. I am usually inclined to be proactive since 50 years ago I sat at my damage control station waiting to die with my submarine, the USS Von Steuben, apparently sinking due to an underwater collision. Our 35 degree up angle, collision alarm and ballast tank emergency blow spoke for themselves. My perspective on terrorist attacks thus might be a bit different than most.
Also my daughter's half sister was caught in last weeks Manchester terrorist attack and she was injured and her son was seriously injured by the panic and stampede from behind them after the explosion when they were on the exit stairs going down to where the explosion occurred.
In one restaurant in London the patrons and staff reportedly threw bottles, tables and chairs at the terrorist. When being attacked by a knife wielder, IMO, don't throw the chairs, grab one by the back with the legs pointing toward the terrorist, charge him, pin him against the wall, have someone with something long enough to keep them out of arms length of the terrorist and beat him/her to death. If I didn't try to actually stop the terrorist as best I could, and he killed others, I would feel guilty and somewhat responsible. It might also help if you checked exits when entering a building since that is smart even for a fire. Check that the door opens outward so if you plan on exiting that way so you don't get crushed, although most codes require it, but many died in a nightclub fire because the main doors opened inward.
One need not be paranoid, but be aware of your surroundings and do a short "what if" thought process, just in case. It may just save your and yours lives.

He explained that according to his brand of Islam, peace would exist when the entire world was under Sharia law and ruled by a Muslim caliphate. He said Islam is the religion of peace because its aim is to impose Sharia law everywhere and in doing so bring peace to the world.

When are our governments going to protect us? Huh? Our governments made possible and promote this terrorism. The presence of Muslims is an orchestrated and deliberate policy of OUR GOVERNMENTS. Muslim immigration and visa overstays are continuing and even increasing. The consequences are clear to any sentient being. Colonized and eventually sharia Muslim countries, at least in Europe; a terrorized, formerly Christian population in the U.S. Why policy makers want this is beyond me.

Trump appears to be the single leader who wants to stop it. (May talks tough today, but as Home Secretary, she was pro-immigration, and also reduced UK police by 20,000). But right now I am a little confused as State Department has just increased the number of "refugees" being let in.

A further 15 are awaiting paperwork processing before proceeding to a formal nomination.

    2. Hmmm I worry if he's an old friend of Xi. I remember Sasser going to China in the days of Pres. Clinton, and he didn't know a thing about some of the important human rights issues there (religious freedom, especially. Then again, it seems the Clintons are part of a movement to deny religious freedom to Americans, too). Is Branstad a political appointee out to get some nice post-official deals, as, it seems, Sasser was?

BTW, I remember back in the '90's dutifully reporting on both Corvee and child labor on southern China's roadways while others in media and dissident groups were speaking about prison labor on Chinese goods for export. Our masters in foggy bottom gave us what we called kudos cables--and then the Clinton administration pushes for China to get permanent MFN status. This is one reason why I suspect that the Clintons have been in China's pocket.

IMHO Mr.K, No worries! Branstats’s not a Sasser.
I mean how bad could the longest serving Gov in Ioway's history be? Yes he’s a JD and a CPA, but that means he should be able to legally root-out waste and corruption!, and apparently he did—turning Iowa’s 90 million in debt, into a 900 million surplus… and in his 2nd stint as the state’s Governor, he was Primaried and won 83% of the votes, and in the General took 59%, seems like the voters believe he’s an honest man too.

What I was most tickled to read about Branstat, was that when he was an U.S. Army MP, he busted Jane Fonda for “coming onto post at Arlington National Cemetery, “where she was planning to attend an anti-war protest” – now how many Cops can say that?!

He also has a distinguished record of public service to the GOP and its Presidents, chairing diverse committees including “George W. Bush to chair the President’s Commission on Excellence in Special Education”. Beyond all that, an asset that some may overlook, was that he was a fortunate son to have a Norske farmer Papa and a Jewish Mama nee Garland, although some may be leery of his 2nd cousin relationship with “DC Circuit Chief Judge Merrick Garland”?

P.S. I have no doubt that the Clinton's accepted payola (nuke?) from the ChiComs, or perhaps they didn't get the total $$$ they expected, and that's why the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade was bombed?
