We see "students" staging a protest against gun violence by "walking"--some got pushed-- out of their classes and participating in a variety of staged events, e.g., mass "die-ins," violent protests, and, of course, lots of marching about and waving signs. As usual, the proggy left is behind all this nonsense.
I wrote before about my profound disgust with this sort of "march" in the wake of Islamic terror,
[The Paris "peace" march] was a very typical, in fact, an extremely typical leftist/progressive/narcissist manifestation akin to so many others we have seen over the years. It was replete with the usual trademarks of progressivism: prancing and preening; empty slogans and rhetoric; and equally empty gestures and cartoonish props, e.g., giant pencils, rakishly worn bandanas, silly make-up, etc. It was a manifestation on steroids by people who would put lame bumper stickers <...> on a PRIUS.That, I think, pretty much applies to this march, as well, with the added feature that these "brave" marchers were encouraged even forced to hit the streets by tax-payer paid prog politicians and bureaucrats who facilitated the protest by letting the kiddies out of their tax-payer funded schools, provided them tax-payer funded transportation, and ensured them a respectful hearing from the echo-chamber prog media.
We were all supposed to be in awe of the wisdom flowing the mouths of babes, and run off screaming in support of those who march to take away our Constitutionally guaranteed rights and limit our freedoms.
Emotion substituting for thinking.
The "Ideas" of March.
All they need is a brown shirt with a black arm band
ReplyDeleteThe Left is developing new fascists one classroom at a time. "Progressive Youth" adorned with the trappings mentioned just above.

ReplyDeleteApparently lost on last Wednesday's free range dolts is that they were cheering at rallies and marches for politicians that enjoy armed security at work, often at home, and certainly while at the very rallies and marches designed to deprive regular American citizens of the ability to defend themselves.
DeleteThese politicians, in league with activists, have also convinced many of these school aged "students" that cops are brutal racists. Then they actually turned them out to march for the ultimate goal of giving these same cops sole authority to possess an AR-15 (and to be honest, any firearm).
I think that says just about all you need to know about our education system today.
A fundamental difference between the conservative and progressive philosophy. The conservative believes in the individual and the progressive believes in the collective. In the matters of self-defense and firearm ownership. The conservative sees these as vital to the individual’s right and duty to protect themselves and those around them. The progressive sees protection of themselves as a responsibility of the state, they do not believe in the individual right of self-defense.

Good reason to move the voting age back up to 21 ... or even 25. And, as an added filter, if the voters cannot name the three branches of government, they get no ballot.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading years ago about an interview given by Solzhenitsyn on his arrival into the US. "What is your impression so far of America?" the reporter asked. "A society that listens to its children is degenerate." was the reply.
ReplyDeleteI have passed your Solz quote on and have been called out on it. Can you give me the original reference? Tx ...
