Good or Bad for the Jews

Too Much to Hope for Change?

Won't be watching the State of the Union address. Do you really need President Obama to tell you?

I, however, was hoping that he would be inspired by the example of Pope Benedict.

I guess it is too much to hope for that sort of change . . . sigh . . . .

  1. State of the Union address? Did I miss it?

  2. I was in the kitchen cooking our Mardi Gras steaks, while "she who must be obeyed" was in the parlor - a nice anachronism I think, listening to the bloviation on the radio. The noise sounded like an old newsreel of a Nuremberg rally. Seemed like he was shouting the whole time and I can imagine spittle flying.

  5. Didn't watch it, either. Past experience has taught me that everything uttered from his lips is a lie, treasonous, or stupid, and this occasion was more of the same.

  6. The SOTU was on as we were eating dinner and I had a horrible thought. I asked my wife to lean back and check the TV screen, and see if a block of empty seats had been set aside for the dead Newtown schoolchildren.

Apparently no one at the White House had thought of that, though.

Nothing in it for me, as Philip Marlowe was fond of saying. So, didn't watch it. As Mark Levin said the night previous, 'why watch a serial liar who's destroying the country? Don't watch for the sake of your mental health.'

Impossible to look at this one, let alone listen, as the visual conveys just so much, none of it appealing to say the least.

Watched 'Doc Martin' on PBS - yes, I confess, there are a couple programs worth watching on Proletarians, Bolsheviks & Socialists Network - the mystery series with that Swedish detective who spends hours brooding, easy to identify with him - and sat with laptop on lap while looking for updates on the continuing adventures of Mr. Dorner, the poster thug for the gun-control gangsters.

Dorner makes the case for the Second Ammendment, not that the case needs any making.

Local talk host yesterday was lecturing people on why we must watch - this guy's conservative so it's baffling - and he missed my point re not watching, to paraphrase Mrs. Parks in Gosford Park, "I know what he'll say before he thinks it". That's what I said and that's that: the commies all go strictly by the book, the Oulde Socialist Playbook. They say and do the same things over and over and over and over and over again.

Say what you want 'bout them commies, they're predictable. They adhere strictly to their traditions, their traditions being lying their way down the Road to Perdition, which ends always at genocide.

This one talks about his 'balanced approach', among other progressive slogans; the balance being this: He offers you the choice of a beat-to-snot old schoolbus converted by hippies into some rolling drug-mobile, he slams the throttles with you in the back seat, and heads for the bridge abutment

To balance this, he next offers to drive you in a nice, comfy, conservative Buick sedan, plush velour seats, reasonable speed, proceeds directly to the 'Bridge Out' sign.

Nothing in it for me. Horrible. Evil. Incompetent. Expect more of it. Plan accordingly.

  8. I noticed, as Obama was entering the hall last night, Supreme Court judges - Gingberg, Sotomayor and Kagen, hugged and kissed the President when greeting him, giggling like three teens at a Justin Beiber concert. I found this to be both surprising and inappropriate. I know they're only human, but don't you think they should at least attempt to hide their bias?

  9. Ginsberg hugged the president? That's like wrapping chicken with parchment.

  10. I confess to having watched it. I want to know first hand what the agenda is so I can better craft rebutals and counter argumnts to the Left (not that it mattrs since they always fall back to name calling and character assasination rather than an honest debate of the facts).

  12. My husband said long ago, in Obama's first reign, to watch what he did, not listen to what he says. I think that holds true.

We were in Colorado Springs playing with grandchildren and building a new deck with a 16' slide to entertain them in the summer when our son is deployed. No time to hear grand leader pontificate, thankfully.

Be blessed and some of you send rain for all of Texas. I have a bunch of dry lakes on our ranches out west. One used to be 34 acres and we need to fill it. Prayers. please....
