Good or Bad for the Jews

Still out of Commission

Waiting on the lab results as I continue to do battle with a range of issues that befall FOGs (Fat Old Guys).

Did read an interesting article about a statement by Congressman Brooks accusing the DNC of launching a war on white people. He must be reading the Diplomad who discussed this very issue some three weeks ago.

Hope to get writing soon, sorry for the delay.

  1. Waiting for lab results is never comforting. Hope for negative or "in spec" results.
    Best wishes.

  2. Hope everything is okay. I'm not sure I've ever commented before, but I've really enjoyed your blog and I'm missing your take on the news lately. Best wishes.

  4. I hope everything goes well with the tests.

Our tame conservatives in Congress and all conservatives need to fight back against the constant liberal attacks on the average American and the American way of life. I wish I knew how to break through the almost total MSM and cable blackout on conservative values, but I don't . Mind you, I am not being paid the big bucks to come up with a strategy, and those being aid the big bucls dont think we have a problem.

    Cheers,

    Davod

    1. "being aid the big bucls" should read 'being paid the big bucks'

      Sorry.

    2. Oddly enough, Davod, I didn't "read" the error, my mind substituted "bucks" for "bucls" without my even being aware of the error. Until you corrected it, that is.

  5. Hope they find out what ails you. Probably the shock to your system from returning to California.

  6. Dear Dip, Please tell us how to get Sgt. Tahmooressi back from Mexico. Surely it's not too late to pay off the appropriate set of officials. Do we have to organize a tourism boycott of Mexico?
Hope you are in excellent health again soon!

  7. Dip, as another "FOG" (Fat Old Grandfather rather than just a "guy"), I fully sympathize with your plight. I just got back from a visit to my physical therapist myself.

However, I admit that all playing of the "race card", whether by the Left or Right or by whomever, gives me the willies. While I'm white (mostly, at least, I think), I have a family that isn't completely so (thanks to finding a wife in Far Formosa), and I work in a school that is overwhelmingly Black and Hispanic (and as a result know a lot of people in those demographics for whom I have a high regard and wish well--to say nothing of some who stood by me when certain incidents could've gotten racially ugly). Hence, I freely admit I have a vested interest in peace among the varied demographics; and, perhaps, while it's right to make fun of Lizzie Rabbitswarren (which translated from the Ahatchwhoop [nod to John Barth] means Blonde-Harvard-Pocahontas-who-Games-the-System), I feel we also need to freely admit that there are indeed lots of Americans with every right in the world to check more than one racial box (if we insist on keeping them). If we're really against racism rather than for new forms of Apartheid (which I think affirmative action and a number of other liberal schemes are), I think we need to have a frank recognition that our "racial" boundaries get pretty blurry.

Besides, my Jewish relatives who stayed behind were people who got officially "de-whited" back in the 1930's.

Since we're on this, let's re-play over and over again the nasty games that the Left has played about race: Obama, being scion of East African Muslims, has slave hunters and traders much closer in his family tree than any white American Sothrons; that Blonde-Harvard-Pcahontas-who-Games-the-System lied, lied, lied in order to get a position; that the whole Democratic platform depends on turning us against each other.

Had couple of grandkids dumped in our laps this summer, one of whom has never been taught how to act when a guest (gads I'd have so had my butt kicked if I pulled some of that stuff.) about the same time I had a disc bulge, in between the mri and the consult now, so I feel your, err, MY pain. ;)

  15. Kepha:

The Luo tribe (from which Obama's father sprang) was not much into slaving. Yes, many of them are Muslim. And yes, they are looked down upon by many other Kenyans because they do not circumcise their male offspring. But much of the slaving carried out in east and central Africa was by Arabs from the Maghreb and Muslims from the coast -- who had ties to Gulf Arabs. Zanzibar was a slaving center in the 18th and 19th Centuries under the Sultan of Oman.

Many Luos were unhappy with politics under Jomo Kenyatta as they felt Tom Mboya (one of their own) would have been a better choice. He was a hard-core Communist, though, and neither the Brits nor we were very happy with him as a national leader. He was killed before I got to East Africa, but I knew his disciple, Oginga Odinga.

    1. But we don't know for sure who Obama's parents were...

    2. True. I should have prefaced my comment by noting that the charge of slaving -- IF DIRECTED TO THE LUO SIDE OF HIS FAMILY -- and so on. If one believes his father was the grad student from Kenya whom Stanley Dunham listed on the birth certificate, my comments are apt. If one believes Frank Marshall Davis or someone else is his father, my comments are on point but don't apply to Obama's real forebears.

In any case, Luos are not likely to have engaged in the slave trade. Senussi Arabs from north Africa or Gulf Arabs moving inland from Zanzibar are more likely the culprits.
