Good or Bad for the Jews

OK, OK. NOW I Believe in Climate Change!

Decades of political hot air, fetid progressive gasses, and greasy Democratic smoke have done it. The climate in DC has changed! They have produced the Trump Tornado, the Trump Tsunami, the Trump Typhoon, the Trump Tremor, the, the . . . TRUMP!

I have never seen such socio-economic-political climate disruption in all my life. President Trump, who seems to be completely energy independent, is dominating the air waves and barely giving his opponents a chance to draw breath. The media, especially the hideous New York Times is melting faster than an ice cap in an Al Gore fantasy movie.

The once mighty NYT now no longer makes any pretense at all, none, of being a newspaper. Its "news" stories are full of words such as "lies," "bizarre," "crazy," when referring to President Trump and his policies. They are stunned, stunned, I tell you, that the man is actually doing exactly what he said he would.  They call him a liar for saying that illegal aliens voted in the last election; they say there's no proof . .  . and then go ape when he says, fine, let's investigate. No! There's no need! WE are telling you, WE are assuring you that there is no evidence! I can't stop laughing.

I can only imagine the panic among the bureaucrats at my old employer, the State Department, as Trump turns his guns on all sorts of hoary and untouchable foreign policies, assumptions, and beliefs.

Look, not all of his executive orders are as dramatic as the press would have you believe, and he needs to make sure there is legislative follow-up to ensure the next guy/gal doesn't undo them . . . but, but, he has changed the climate in a just a few days, and changed it exactly as he said he would.

Hats off to the man.

Keep winning! I am not tired of it, yet!

I can take all this winning, it's all the champagne drinking that has me worried.

  3. I believe in climate change. Way back in the 900's and 1000's, southwestern Greenland was warm enough to support the cultivation of barley and oats, as well as cattle and sheep husbandry. The onset of a long cold spell in the 1300's seems to have doomed that, though.

However, how much have we to do with it? Some, I suppose. But even after a couple of centuries of industrial development, southwestern Greenland is still unsuitable for any agriculture.

As for Trump, I hope he can get away with re-opening a worldwide discussion on the status of Taiwan (PRC's "renegade province" doesn't fit, since the PRC never held any effective jurisdiction over the island). However, after all this time of the Clintons and others letting the PRC gut our economy, and making us heavily indebted to them, I fear it may be too late.

I am also concerned about Trump's apparent peevishness over his loss of the popular vote, and the larger size of the O's inaugural crowd. Dear Mr. POTUS, don't you realize that DC is a hotbed of the Democrats, as are surrounding MD and VA jurisdictions? As for losing the popular vote, virtually all of Shrillary Shrooooo's excess was in California. You've won, get over it, and be more of the "back to work" POTUS we've come to respect, and less of the kvetcher. It's the work and effectiveness which will undermine the progs' narrative; not counter complaints.

    1. Trump has an opening, due to the media's snarkiness, to definitively show the degree to which our voting system has been corrupted ... hopefully leading to national voter photo ID cards. I don't think that this is an ego thing with Trump. It is a once in a lifetime chance to save the Republic in future elections.

    3. As a Californian I can tell you there is massive vote fraud. Calif issues driver's licenses to illegals and registers them to vote at DMV. Soros has long running project to elect secretary of states - the state official who controls elections. Obama told illegals there are no consequences to illegal voting. Recount found fraud in Detroit.

Fraud is against GOP. Question is why they and Fox insist "there is no evidence" of massive fraud.

    4. Hi, Kepha, all:
I was at the inauguration. Here's the thing: they wouldn't let us onto the National Mall.
      Let that sink in.
The government numpties declared that the Prog thugs were so dangerous that they had to fence off the entire Mall (a first), and there was only ONE security checkpoint for non-ticket holders. ONE. So hundreds of thousands of us were stranded in the side streets in the endless line to get in.
I didn't set foot on the mall until 12:30. Same thing happened to Penn. Ave., except there the Prog thugs blocked, physically, the majority of the security checkpoints, and the police just let them do it. Hence the empty stands.
Finally, the rest of the Failure Theater brought to you by the Leftwing Cabal was their relentless focus on a few hundred thugs rioting in the streets, to make it look like Normal America didn't show up.
So yeah, worth calling the Leftwing Media on their BS.

    5. Anon--

The extent to which those in charge made sure y'all didn't get in to see the inauguration - to BE SEEN - was no accident. They planned it and the D.C. Police, Democrats, all of them, passively co-operated. They knew ahead of time.

Agree with you George! DJT is not only a master negotiator but a sneaky quick counter-puncher too! Just what's needed to soften up the progs and their media mavens for a first round knockout... on the road to MAGA! By the way, Dip's ringside glee is marvelous to behold ;) On Watch~~~

  6. Trump's entire MO is shouting 'look behind you!'... And the lefties fall for it every single time. Who cares about inauguration crowd size? Nobody except the new York times.

Trump is hated by the media because he is cutting them out of their former role as middle man between the presidency and the people.

I'd probably be pissed too if I spent my whole life dwelling on my self important 'change the world by lying in news stories' mantra only to have some upstart cut me out of the action.

    2. A Trump strategy that seems to work every time ... the Donald says something that is overall true (and everybody sensible knows it's true) but isn't correct in every detail. The media goes nuts hammering on the details ... but in so doing it's as if they acknowledge the general truth of what Trump originally said. And of course he's an idiot and they're all geniuses.

  7. Trumpageddon for CNN, Trumpocalypse for the WaPo and a Trumpocaust for the NYT.

I still suspect that a financial/economic collapse awaits that will be blamed on Trump although having nothing to do with him. It seems to me to be a standard American weakness; to overrate the power of the President while ignoring all economic lags.

    1. Right you are DM. You must be brilliant because you are agreeing with me!e.g.What if, in taking the shackles off of the energy sector, we are awash in oil? Then the price would fall, which would be bad for Texas, although good for me, because we ought to have a bit of cash to sink into real estate. The economy of Texas is not nearly as dependent on petroleum as we were thirty years ago, but that's still a big sector. Cattle still matter, as does wheat, and technology is enormous. I know so many people who work for tech companies with offices in Britain and Texas, and not much of anywhere else. Dallas and Austin will come out fine, Houston not so much. However, when Texas sneezes, the rest of the US gets a cold.

OR, the whole of the economy is overblown. Bubbles eventually burst. (Anyone interested in some hot deals on tulip bulbs?) Again, this would not be Trump's fault. However, he would get the blame, and never the credit, for bringing the economy back to a firm footing.

An economic collapse would help the illegal alien problem, although I rarely favor burning down the barn to get rid of the critters in it.

  9. The entire State upper management team just resigned.

    Some thoughts abt this:

    1. Great
    2. If they can all afford to quit, we are paying them too much.
    3. Are they doing this to avoid investigations?
    4. Diplomad, is your resume up to date?

No idea if Diplomad even *wants* to return to that job - I mean, really, how many people would? I'd miss his posts here, but I'm sure the State Dept. could use a few people like him.

  14. Trump is a frigging energizer bunny. I keep hearing that line from Conan the Barbarian "Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women." Trump keeps pissing of the right people. Build the wall, make America great again. Yes, I know it won't last forever but I do love winning. The left will get him, somehow, someway they will get him. Maybe pay off a few more women to claim he raped them or something. I do know this for sure; if I were Trump I wouldn't ride in any open top cars...

  16. I cant wait for Trump to turn his attention to California's Sanctuary Policy. Especially now that the Land of Fruits and Nuts has hired Eric Holder to lead the Legal Defense for the State. The very Eric Holder who, as Obama's AG, sued Arizona over SB 1070, their Illegal Immigration Law. Holder argued successfully that the issue is a Federal matter based on the Supremacy Clause. The Courts agreed and a large part of 1070 was struck down. I'm going to laugh my @ss off when Team Trump uses Holder's own argument, testimony, and Legal Precedent to crush him and Moonbeam.

  17. I think Trump made a mistake here, actually. He's put both State and the Agency on notice that he wasn't kidding, hence most of the drones who are part of what passes for a deep state here will have the chance to hide what they are so they can emerge under some future administration and take up right where they left off. Better to have waited six months, used those to infiltrate the organizations, and then done a complete purge.

    3. I don't think so (IMHO). So far Trump has shown an innate ability to understand the psychology of his target and turn it against them. He had the press spend days bantering about the true size of the Inauguration crowd trying desperately to "prove" Trump lied. An issue Trumps actions show he could care less about. In the meantime he has taken action on Obamacare, border control, abortion funding, Energy, and according to Bibi, has already healed the relationship between the US and Israel.
And the press is still arguing about the crowd now long gone. His timing I masterful. For those who are trying to cover his signings, he hits the targets so fast, and in such a scattered order that the media moguls don't have time to poll-test and disseminate the bumper-sticker slogan against Tuesdays actions before Wednesdays actions dominate the news cycle.
Look what happened in the torture orgasm the media had. Trump says waterboard. The very next day before they can skewer him in the Newscycle he is announcing how Mattis convinced him a different strategy is warranted. Suddenly the media is all about the Wisdom and thoughtfulness of Mattis. The General whose doctrine was to ensure village elders understood he was their best friend, but if they messed with him he would kill them all...that guy is the voice of reason the Left can accept.
This is some Masterful reverse psychology that Trump is using and the Left is in such disarray they have already lost sight of the need to get their Party back on the road to recovery before their Senators get slaughtered in 18 months.

  18. Kennedy was the epitome of the American Administrative State's modern mandarin. His mantra at all times was to make himself personally indispensable in the administrative workings of the State Department. Instead of building and maintaining transparent and predictable management processes that all decision-makers could understand, he positioned himself at the crossroads of myriad management decisions, great and small, including the approval and installation of Hillary Clinton's illegal e-mail server. The accounts of Kennedy seeking to cajole the FBI to 'un' classify material it found on her server when the wheels were coming off ring consistent with the attitude and behaviors of one who put his career and position ahead of the interests of the institution and country. Buh-bye, I say.
