The Pander Bears: The Dem Candidates

I wasn't going to write about the horrid Dem debate, but . . . taking a small break from dog tending and identity theft resolution, I couldn't resist adding my two cents of commentary.

The two-day extravaganza of these 20 clowns was, well, a clown extravaganza. Who won the debate? Who lost it? Your guess is as good as mine, although in this case I tend to go with the conventional wisdom, with a bit of a tweak.

The biggest loser wasn't even on the stage. He was Obama. This crowd, except for Biden, seems to want nothing to do with Obama and his "accomplishments." He is totally forgotten.

Of those on stage, Biden was the loser. He proved, again, a hopeless doddering fool. As I noted back in April, "if Biden ever had a 'best-if-used-by' date he appears to have passed it".

He seemed incapable of finishing a coherent sentence, appeared caught off guard by the highly predictable attacks on him, and just looked tired, very tired, and confused, very confused. He, so far, stands for nothing except for name recognition. Biden has a long record of almost no accomplishment, and what there is of it, is woefully out of line with the high-energy, far-left lemmings who now dominate the world's oldest political party. He doesn't realize that the ground has shifted on him, and doesn't know how to gain a footing, at least, not yet. Biden's blather about being "blue-collar Joe" and the labor unions is all very old-fashioned. None of the other Dems is blue collar, has ever worked a blue-collar job, probably doesn't know any blue-collar folk, and is positively bored with real economics. They want to pander to illegal aliens--Beto breaking into execrable Spanish for no reason--pay homage to the LGBTQXYZKD, whatever, crowd--Julian Castro proclaiming that biological men have the right to public-funded abortion--and, above all, to utter fatuous Marxist slogans about WALL STREET! Biden can't keep up, as revealed by the tentative way in which he raised his hand in accord with the others that we should provide "free" medical care for illegal aliens. At times, Biden reminded me of Ted Kennedy when asked why he wanted to become President and couldn't say.

I say all that about Biden while acknowledging that he's the best of the Dem bunch--kinda like when I declare American universities junk but the world's best . . . junk. The others range from absolute delusional morons to crazy Communists. Any one of them would make Carter and Obama look like  great and patriotic presidents. Biden, at least, doesn't seem to hate the country: A low bar, but one that the other candidates can't seem to clear--they seem auditioning for the CPUSA Chairmanship.

The winner?

Don't ask me that, but now that "you" have, I would have to say it was Kamala Harris. Her demagogic assault on Biden, essentially calling him a racist, and her expert telling of a semi-true story about her childhood, catapulted her into the top ranks of this score of lunatic candidates. She is a liar, but a good one, and can probably count on the media burying the many unsavory aspects of her career as a public official in California, and her quite comfortable, even privileged, upper-middle class background.

Meanwhile, Trump? He's out saving the world from nuclear war and negotiating a trade deal with the PRC.

I am voting Trump. Need I say more? No, but I will . . .

  1. Thanks for watching them so I didn't have to.

  2. I second the comment by John Foster. Three reasons for that: 1. Those of us who have had a life time of experience with The Peoples Progressive Party know that whatever is said in that venue is simply opportunistic, and 2. The Scribes and High Priests of the Cult of The Peoples Progressive Party will uncritically report whatever is said, and 3. the cult followers will fall to their knees following any and all pronouncements that come out of those oracles, even when they contradict what previously spewed forth.

    1. I believe it was the Vodka Pundit who pointed out that, aside from Trump, the big winner was everyone who didn't waste their time on that nonsensical "debate."

  5. From an "outsider" point of view what was shown on one of our current affairs programme was like a poorly scripted Monty Python show. The only difference being that the Python team would have thrown the script in the bin.

If they, the Dimocrats, keep going the same way "the Donald" is a shoe in for a second term.

Normally I would agree with your second paragraph but I think the democrat voters will be out in force. They hate Trump so much that I think this will galvanise the voters much as I think if there was a second brexit vote it could go the other way.

    1. Reader,

You're making an assumption about the solidarity of the Democratic Party voters that isn't warranted. There are basically three groups to consider at the broadest level: reliable Democrats, reliable Republicans, and independents. Each has about 1/3rd of the vote.

At this point, the Democratic Candidates are solidifying the Republican block solidly behind Trump by their positions and complete lack of rationality. They aren't helped by Pelosi, Schumer, Nadler and Schiff.

Meanwhile, they're advocating policies that alienate their constituency, particularly, blue collar types, Catholics and other religious groups like Jews and Baptists.

And the Black community is getting restless.

But never fear: there's a lot of time yet for foul ups on both sides.

  7. Please continue to monitor these things - I liken them to the sight and sound of seagulls chasing a trawler with its rudder fouled in the nets - because I lost my stomach for it all back in 2015 when the Republicans did pretty much the same thing.

Trump continues to surprise me with his dogged pursuit of campaign promises - I wish him well and will continue to support - but it doesn't matter what the Dems trot out in the end, they will be formidable due to organizational skills, like-mindedness, media control, and raw corruption.

  8. The disgusting quality of the Dem candidates ought not to stampede one into voting for Trump. I intend to cast a write-in vote for Dead Skunk.

  9. Ms Harris'ancestry is that of a white slave owner!!! Let's hear her talk us out of that one. The "little brown girl" that was bused into the white school district was the child of two college professors; one white and one Indian, and when mom didn't get tenure, move to Canada.
You don't even have to bring up the Willie Brown thing to know that this woman is a manufactured hoax.
Unless the R's make an issue of this I don't think the LoFo voters will even recognize that fact that KH is NOT African American.
    Change my mind...

Kamala Harris' dad is from Jamaican-born; he's why she can perpetuate the fiction she is African-American. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=nH2NmfhG&id=BB72A66530B502C41B3F4CC74999E47FC6BD1D8C&thid=OIP.nH2NmfhGQBzmRfmrW1MzEgHaE_&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.jamaicaglobalonline.com%2fwp-content%2fuploads%2f2018%2f10%2f3.-Kamala-with-my-granddaughter-Meena-and-me-%25C2%25A9-Donald-J-1024x691.jpg&exph=691&expw=1024&q=kamala+harris+father&simid=608039420992291924&selectedIndex=1

    2. I understand that back in the days before Wilberforce, there were free persons of color who were slave-owners in all Caribbean colonies. But, on the positive side, I note that Donald Harris took his daughter to task for perpetuating the stereotype of the ganja-stone Jamaican.

  10. Though I did not watch, by all accounts the only things missing were the dancing poodles with the party hats and the jugglers on unicycles. Well, maybe a food fight with milkshakes tossed about to top off the excitement that would complete the carnival freak show, yeah, that would have been the finale.

I will add, my never voted in her life 32 year old daughter sat up and took notice of all the freebies to illegals- healthcare and education. She's not happy and quite motivated to vote for the president. Congratulations Dems- you've flipped another one. Keep giving Bolshevik Barbie the mic and there will be more. Geez, it's as if Barbie is a Trump plant. She's a bunny boiler for sure (see Fatal Attraction for the reference). Best, K

  11. I suspect that the real Democratic campaign will be voter intimidation. Kamala will be popular, because all she talks about is getting even with her political opponents. Gonna be a long, ugly campaign.

  12. I'm sorry to see that the D'Mad has already mad up his mind about the coming primary season. I mean, he could at least wait until after Brown-Bagg announces for the Democratic Party Nomination!

Brown-Bagg's family is well known from their appearances in some years at Browns games (the cameras always focus in on the figures in the brown shopping bags), or the Mets, or those of several other teams that do poorly.

Brown-Bagg's policies will be discovered through the use of commissions. Other presidents have made use of "Blue Ribbon Commissions" but the results were never very useful. Thus, Brown-Bagg will start with a Gold and Platinum Ribbon Commission that will assign non-blue colors to the commissions that will advise on sundry issues! (Out of modesty, they will refrain from creating any "Brown Ribbon Commission.)

And look at the small carbon footprint that Brown-Bagg will have! By far the smallest, as it can be folded up an sent via the Post Office to any city!

Brown-Bagg will also make more sense that Alexandria Occasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, or any of the other band of Blatherers!

  13. Apropos a rien: What has happened to the Swedish Lady? I always enjoyed her take on things even when, on rare occasions, I disagreed with her. I'm guessing that she is in our age cohort. Since everyone under forty five is " a kid," I value her comments all the more. As they told me fifty, uhm, sixty years ago, "Let the grownup talk, and you listen. You just might learn something." Well, Swedish, I'm listening.

Yep! incisive recap of the -Clown Card- candidates 'tale of the tape'! I'd just add that Mad-Dips blow by blow of Plugs Biden's weak outing, caused me to flashback to MoHaMad Ali's 'Rope-a-Dope' strategy in the early Rounds of the 'Rumble in the Jungle'... sure Plugs took some shots from the Jamaica Queen, and lacked her fancy footwork to boot... butt at this stage of the Game Plugsy hasn't even begun training for the BIG EVENT! Hell, poor guy has to keep a bride, half his age, Happy! I'll Bet his trainers will have him on a NO BROADS diet and punching his weight on the Heavy Bag till Election Day! Plug's syndicate, including the Corner and Cut-man, will ensure he gets all the supplements he needs to go the distance with The Donald, including horse-shoes in, and grit on his mitts! Hate to say it, but if it goes the distance -- me tinks Big Orange'll need to knee Plugs in the clinches! Play Ball!
