Disaster on the "Border": Democratic Party 350,000 - America 0

I confess to having watched the scheduled Germany vs Brazil World Cup Soccer match on TV. I think, however, what I actually saw was a classic case of bait-and-switch: we were promised a duel between the Germans and the Brazilians that would shake the earth from the Atlantic to the Andes and level that pesky stinky CO2-belching Amazon rainforest. I am no expert on soccer, but as far as I can tell, the Brazilians either never showed up or the Germans ended up reenacting the Deutsch-Französischer Krieg of 1870-71. All kidding aside, it was a stunning performance by the Germans, who played some of the best soccer I have seen. I hate to admit to some pleasure in seeing the Brazilian team go down in flames. I know it's childish, but given the childish arrogance of the Brazilians in the diplomatic world from whence I came, let me have a moment of secret immature joy.

Ok, let's move on.

I was in Murrieta, California, today. I drove past the infamous baby-sitting US Border Patrol station on the outskirts of town in a semi-rural area where Murrieta's Madison Avenue runs out of asphalt. I saw some dedicated Americans hanging out in the heat near the station under tents and flags, ready to block the infamous Border Patrol coyote ugly buses. There was also a huge FOX news trailer there with an enormous satellite dish aimed at the heavens. While I was there it was pretty quiet. I didn't see any Border Patrol agents in the area, although the immediate approaches to the station had been blocked by some USBP SUVs. The USBP clearly is better at keeping American citizens out of its station--which has quite a fence around it--than it is at keeping tens-of-thousands of illegal aliens out of the country. In my view, in order to restore the honor of the USBP, the officers of the USBP should refuse to carry out the illegal orders they are being given. I want to see senior and middle rank officers refuse to pass along the orders from the DNC. Too much to hope for? Probably.

I notice that Obama and the Democrats have wasted no time taking advantage of the crisis they created by asking for nearly $4 billion to address the situation on the "border." I was glad to see that some members of the lethargic GOP actually have bestirred themselves to take note of the disaster being deliberately created by Obama and the Democrats. I don't think the budgetary request has much chance of getting through, Obama knows it, and is playing games to blame the mess on the former border on the Republicans. Hadn't the Democrats told us that what once had been the border was secure? There was no need to finish the border fence? That deportations were at a record high and illegal border crossings at a record low? Ha! Minor lies told by the most untruthful administration in US history.

I also notice that the UN is jumping into the game calling upon the US and Mexico to treat this like a refugee crisis. Really? These so called refugees from drug violence, mostly, apparently, from Honduras--but who knows? It seems everything is a lie about this--apparently have travelled over 1000 miles through Guatemala and Mexico before ending up at the US border. Did they seek asylum in either of those two countries? Nope. Did they think of crossing over into neighboring Nicaragua? Or making the under 300 mile trip to peaceful Costa Rica? Nope and nope, again. What has Mexico done? It has funneled them, including apparently known criminal elements, to the US border--what normally would be considered a hostile act, but done in the knowledge that the US misadministration wants this "crisis." Mexico is always willing to give the US a helping hand when it comes to inserting the 12-gauge into our national mouth.

Anybody doubt that these people pouring across the former border will quickly become and remain wards of the state and of the Democratic party? Within very few days they will have valid California state ids, be in our schools, public hospitals, and prisons, and be on the federal and state benefits welfare rolls and soon on the voter lists.

The Democrats brought their German team to the game. We brought, well, the GOP . . .

I agree (but mine is an Arkie opinion). & there is a 1975 Arkansas rape case - Hillary got a 41 year-old man off, hold the sniggers, I mean off jailtime for raping a 15 year-old girl.

I think the case is in for some revisiting. "War on Women" & etc etc

  4. These "undocumented" future Democrat voters have to go somewhere. And what happens when they are dumped into Topeka, Kansas and Jefferson City, Missouri and Rosenberg, Texas and mid-sized towns all across the U.S. with slip in hand, written in English, no less, for them to appear in an immigration court in 15 days?

Nothing, well except this: the state they are relocated in will be picking up the tab for their welfare (they have no jobs, you see and we can't let them just live under bridges and starve), the kids, who are pathetically damaged due to rape and other atrocities, will be dumped into the school systems. Of course, due to Plyler, and the wisdom of the SCOTUS, the school districts are not allowed to ask for their birth certificates, or shot records. A 15 year old El Salvadoran, with tattoos all up and down his body, will be placed in high school, in spite of the fact that he has had no education at all, and can't speak English, because schools are required to put him in an "age appropriate" class. So the lucky school district gets to pick up the tab for more bi-lingual teachers, ESL teachers, abuse counselors, nurses to treat illnesses, text books in Spanish and citizen parents will sent home notes to make sure their children get immunization boosters because communicable diseases are on the rise. Oh, and to be sure to stock up on head lice medication as it is epidemic in the school.

Yeah, this will break the budgets of many school districts that are already struggling to pay for union teachers and fancy football stadiums. And all that relates to is high local/state taxes for those of us who think these children should be repatriated as they are the responsibility of the nations they come from.

Easy enough given the news reports out of Chicago over the weekend, there's 80 openings there. Detroit 49.

      And, can't speak English?

No prob. They'll fit right in. Though a few more weekends'll have to pass before there're available slots for all. I guess adding a few to Little Rock'd be okay - then again, maybe not - I know they have a habit of "walking" north.

    2. Arkie, in one way, this "crisis" makes me smile. I remember when nobody cared about illegal immigration because it was simply a "border" state problem. That was in the days before anyone realized that the illegals were moving east, and north.

Now that it is their problem, as well as ours here in Texas, it is a big deal. Eleven years ago, I went to the 150th reenactment of Gettysburg. I had a young Penn student ask me why we Texans didn't keep the illegals in Texas as they were harming the Pennsylvania economy. I laughingly told him because we Texans are a generous people and wanted to share the burden it was placing on us.

I live in a town of less than 5,000. We have a small, regional hospital that provides basic and ER services. Last year alone, our hospital ER treated over 2,000 "undocumented" cases where the hospital received no payment..

    3. I (kinda/sorta) smile too Zane - except for the region bordering Oklahoma far as Arkansas' concerned. I'm betting you know precisely which two of "our multinational corporations" (and tangentially an additional third I speak of - has to do with transportation) abuts Oklahoma. And back last year after the Healthcare dot gov rollout the clearinghouse for the whole shebang got located in Chickenopolis [Springdale for those unfamiliar with the geography Zane & I know only too well] which, since a whole new Federal "jobs program" required a whole bunch more stuff - well, more lawn care.

Arkansas' only redeeming characteristic far as illegals go is our legislature is Constitutionally mandated to work on a balanced budget which tends to be comparatively stingy making states on further north more attractive - but then we natives worry the Feds might remember Arkansas sports a (ssh!) Fort which once housed Japanese internees and later Cubans. Hopefully the place isn't up to the "increased standards of living" this newest crop seemingly expects.

Keep on north "amigos" - the promised land is on further north.

    4. Arkie, how well I remember Chickenopolis. I remember going to the Wal-Mart there 15-20 years ago and all the signs that Wal-Mart hangs from the ceilings were in Spanish and my cashier was Mexican (?) who spoke such little English she couldn't answer my question. Rogers was not much better, as I recall.

I did an art show at War Eagle every year, and I remember the locals who participated in the show telling me how they, and their families, had always worked at the children plants & farms, but they had been laid off and replaced with non-English speaking Mexicans. I also remember that during that time, Tyson was found guilty of not only hiring illegals (displacing American workers) but of actually going to Mexico to recruit workers who were brought up by Tyson paid coyotes. Some of the former chicken plant/farm workers were also from Pauls. Of course, that was during the time Clinton was president and nothing really serious happened to Tyson which was a big Clinton donor.

What illegal immigration did to northwest Arkansas was a shame. It used to be one of our favorite places to vacation (going early before War Eagle) but towards the end, we just got there the day before and left the day after.

If you haven't read The Camp of The Saints, I suggest you do so. Prophetic? You betcha.

The ramifications of this invasion will take years to be truly felt.

    5. I figured (from some of the stuff you've included from time to time) Zane you "used to visit regularly." Too too bad that west of War Eagle.

Fortunately my more or less local neck of the woods hasn't been so destructively hit - I'm as the crow flies, nine south of Misery and almost precisely halfway between Harrison and Black Rock [when one crosses the bridge over Black River, it's delta to the narrow Crowley's Ridge then The Delta to Memphis] just east of Norfork.

I left in the 70s figuring I'd not be back for quite a spell which, except for a little foofaraw that required "being very familiar in hillbilly and military" --- Zane I figure likely understands me just whispering CSA, but not the 1860s version the rest of y'all might think. *Hint, the local and state authorities needed some expertise - preceded Waco. --- Then I went back to the mostly ME and associated environs (Dip's recent recounting "Abroad" gave me a scare when he began. All's well that ends well though) figuring I'd come back Finally - thinking all would be as if I'd never left.

Landed at DFW figuring on a leisurely bike ride home but when I hit Pig City I thought Scotty had beamed me to Tijuana. I traded the bike for a truck then stayed to the gravel and clay til I hit the Boone county line.

Got Home and asked Dad, "What the f___ happened?"

"Well the good news is, we got rid of the Governor. The bad news is, somehow he got elected President."

Got all the women and kids out at any rate.

1985 Operators didn't go in blasting away shooting each other as happened after Clinton got his DOJ "Man" Reno confirmed - and recall there had been David Tate gunning down Jimmy Linegar near Branson Missouri (which was full-auto stuff ... MAC 10s against as I recall, at the time .38 wheels - say what you Anon will

'85-era protocol isn't remembered at all.

And candidly, I'd prefer what "we" did to what happened post Clinton, The Patriot Act and all who voted it in ought to be ... well, I was about to suggest "tarred and feathered and run out of Washington DC for, approving - without Constitutional Process - the nullification of Amendments Fourth & Fifth."

Yeah I'm mad about all This Misadministration has "accomplished."

But I'm really mad "Our Constitutional Lawyer President" gets criticized by, none other than Dershowitz.

  5. Of course, the dirty little secret is Mexico. Mexico, which seems quite capable of capturing a Iraq war veteran, and Marine, who happened to take a wrong turn and who got no help from a 911 operator (who should be fired IMHO) is unable to apprehend thousands of children riding on top of trains and trekking over the harsh Mexican desert. I guess that quarter mile long string of children, being walked through Mexico by a tatted up drug cartel member was just not visible to the Federales. Reports are there are 300,000 currently in Mexico headed our way. Nah, Mexico is unable to see that. They are all hiding behind a cactus, or something.

But we are doing something. Productive things like placing rules on Congressmen and journalists who want to review the holding tanks where these UACs are. No phones, no cameras, no talking. Just look at the children, Congressman, like so many animals in a zoo while the zoo keepers make sure you don't speak to the children.

Oh, and the Border Patrol agents that are speaking out about this Obama created disaster? Well, the head of a Texas BP local is now being investigated for speaking to the press. A 20 year veteran is probably going to be fired because he had the audacity to let the nation know what a crisis our borders are and the diseases that are coming across the Texas/Mexico border every day, all day. Did he not understand he is nothing more than a government lackey whose only responsibility is to protect an inept Commander in Chief?

And who will be hurt the most by all of this? The very people that the Dems claim to support; Americans of Hispanic heritage. As these drug cartel/gangbangers hide in plain site in their neighborhoods, Hispanics will feel the brunt of this misadministration. In their neighborhoods, as crime increases rapids, in their schools, as their kids get infectious diseases, in their taxes on their homes they are struggling to make payments on. No wonder Henry Cuellar (D-Tx) is shouting "Send them back." He knows what is about to happen to his own.

Forget the IRS, Benghazi, the VA, Fast & Furious, Iraq and the NSA. While you may be [rightfully] outraged about all those things, they are child's play compared to what is going on at the Rio Grande Valley.

    1. The other "dirty little secret" is the GOP itself. Too many of them belong to the Chamber of Commerce wing of the GOP and see illegals as cheap labor and are blind to any other consideration.

They are as bad, if not worse, than the Dems.

      Delete
    2. The rank and file GOP doesn't belong to the C of C wing. Not at all. As a matter of fact, the rank and file GOP is the establishments (like Cornyn, Cochran, Boehner, McConnell) problem. It was rank and file GOPers that gave Cantor the boot.

There is a fissure in the GOP. But good news; Texas, solidly still conservative, will be the 5th state, and the first major large state, to vote in the 2016 primaries. And it was clear at the TxGOP convention in June that we Texans are not interested in any "moderate", actually "liberal" squish like McCain or Romney.

  7. Mark Levin as usual was excellent on this topic today. He has a three-part solution: send them back, secure the border, encourage free market capitalism and the rule of law in the countries they come from. He also presented some interesting history yesterday--apparently both Eisenhower and Truman got quite serious about securing the border and deporting illegals, to preserve jobs for Americans. Eisenhower alone deported more than one million.

  8. I feel the same frustrations and concerns as you all do. I fear for my country (STILL) due to the in/actions of this misadministration. As a health care practitioner, the multi drug resistant TB that has been identified REALLY scares me. It's not like they walk about with a big red TB on their forehead. TB is a very insidious disease and dumping infected persons in several Smalltown USAs is a disaster waiting to happen. I simply cannot comprehend how we are letting this happen. And everybody says "oh, it's just lice/scabies". The problem, the drugs you use to treat those creatures are neurotoxins and should be used sparingly. I can see the shortages now. There WILL be hell to pay, probably sooner rather than later. Think Obamacare's budget is breaking the bank now? Just wait . . .

The school district decided 20 years ago not to enforce its and the state's TB testing mandate as enrollment was more important for some programs. The union refused to act, and neither did it even warn its teachers so they could take precautions. Hard to get Workman's Comp unless you can prove which student had TB which is impossible.

  18. the most reasonable, parsimonious explanation for Obama's stance towards border immigration issues that i have read is that he is following the Cloward-Piven principle tha in order to effectively get your way, you must first overwhelm the system to the point where it is absolutely clear it cannot go on as before. Cloward and Piven implemented this principle in New York City in the 70s and nearly succeeded.
