While our Progressive Emperor fiddles in DC with his Court Jesters, aka the National Media and Hollywood Celebrities, we find that just up the road a bit, the once great city of Baltimore burns. Not in a fire, mind you, started by a distressed cow, living in a non-PETA approved barn, nor as the result of "global warming," nor of an off-shore drilling accident, nor of a deranged Tea Party arsonist, and not even as a "logical" consequence of the evils of fracking.
Nope. Not at all.
Democrat-ruled Baltimore burns at the hands of gangs of feral youth, products of the greatest Progressive achievement of all time, the destruction of the family, in particular, of the black family. Children without fathers, "raised by the village" of foster homes, social workers, community organizers, single moms, ignorant and overpaid teachers, welfare bureaucrats, race hucksters, and, ultimately, for those who survive, police, prosecutors, judges, and wardens.
What neither Democratic Party endorsed and promoted slavery nor Democratic Party endorsed and promoted Jim Crow could do, modern Democratic Party policies have done.
The kids are not all right.
Corrupt Democratic Party urban political machines; years of Democratic Party preaching of race hatred and victimization; Democrat policies that created broken homes and broken schools; all combined with generations of Democrat voters and wards getting "free" stuff thanks to the Democrat-created welfare state have produced what we see on the streets of Edgar Allan Poe's hometown: a horror of wild lynch mobs beyond anything from the great Poe's imagination.
In the old days, Democrat-led lynch mobs terrorized the rural South; today, Democrat-led lynch mobs terrorize all of urban America.
Thanks, Democrats! You certainly are consistent!
This President was elected in large part (the first time, at least) by those who felt he would improve race relations. And what a wonderful job he and his Attorney General have done!
ReplyDeleteI think it is much worse than your tepid portrayal. I submit this from the AP:
ReplyDelete"One of the protest's organizers, Malik Shabazz, the president of Black Lawyers for Justice, said the crowd exceeded their expectations, adding that protesters' anger is not surprising."
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20150426/us-suspect-dies-baltimore-69f7a4eea3.html
You may remember Malik Shabazz as the guy with the billyclub driving away Hillary voters from the polling place during the Dem primary. He was found guilty of intimidating voters, but Holder saw fit to drop the charges after he was already found guilty.
As a professional Conspiracy Theorist, I find it hard to believe this boiled up without any direction from the Justice Dept. There is a method to his madness, Your Madness.
~M.
This is all being orchestrated from the top, funded by soros' laundered drug money, enforced by imported SEIU 'brothers' i.e. goons.
DeleteDear 'Mad,
ReplyDeleteYou are mistaken. The acoustics on a golf course are not right for fiddling, so it cannot be that President Pompous would interrupt a putt to use a violin.
Besides, in the era of Hopenchange, we have racial harmony!
Green Bear
(So, which town burns next?)
It is not their fault. They who must not be blamed did not do this. Someone else did it. El Presidente
Deletesummer is coming. the mobs are just warming up.
ReplyDeleteAny riots will be blamed on "climate change".
DeleteDittos, Diplomad. We are also reaping the fruits of decades of glorification of the "protests" of the 1960s, and equating "protest" with injuring people and destroying property. That never made any sense. If people want to rally, march, whatever, to impress the elected politicians with their numbers and their views, far out. Crime should never have been part of this.
ReplyDeleteWhen do we on the Right get to march and riot?
ReplyDeleteThat is when it really hits the fan. Highly organized and weapons will be involved. I think if they nationalize the 401k plans like they did in argentina; that would do it. Maybe not, the pussification of murica is far advanced
DeleteThere's a large organizational structure that is funding, coordinating, facilitating these racial flashpoints, which sure looks to me much like the Van Jones STORM manifesto, pages 53-54.... "Moving the Resistance to Revolution". Of course, this will be dismissed as just a wild conspiracy theory, but there's a strange connection between radical black nationalists like Shabazz, the Black Guerrilla Network, the Nation of Islam, where we have Islam melded with black nationalism/gangs and then the neat and clean mouthpieces like Van Jones and his friends in the White House. The thugs in the streets are the sideshow, while a new federal regulatory scheme for all law enforcement is being stealthily advanced. It's all about seizing control of all levers of power.
ReplyDeletelibertybelle
"...but there's a strange connection between radical black nationalists like Shabazz, the Black Guerrilla Network, the Nation of Islam, where we have Islam melded with black nationalism/gangs and then the neat and clean mouthpieces like Van Jones and his friends in the White House."
DeleteNot strange at all, LB. I commend to your attention this piece concerning Vernon Jarrett, a friend and contemporary of Frank Marshal Davis, and father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett. It explains that connection.

Spot on. You bet these 'spontaneous' riots are not at all coincidental. Jones, soros, the whole Leftist apparatus is cooking this sheite, stirring trouble.
DeletePaul Kengor has long written, based on his assiduous review of contemporary communist publications, that the communists and jihadist gangs are behind this. Soros is pouring money into this evil.
Sure, it seems odd, strange, baffling; that's how criminal schemes always appear.
"... modern Democratic Party polices have done."
ReplyDeletepolicies? polices? umm..... not sure whether this is a mistake or not :)

Good catch. My typo
DeleteWho is paying the fomenter groups that go around to these events and tip things over to riots? I saw the 'communist' agitators active in Ferguson (seriously.. 'communist'... yeah... somehow the clue stick seems to have missed a swath of idiots). I'm pretty certain these same hooligans are in Baltimore now. I know they don't get paid much, and I'm guessing they're all Soros/Ruckus Society types.
ReplyDeleteThere is plenty of reason to protest there, but these protesters are completely clueless that they're being manipulated.
- reader #1482
There is a data mining company that is researching this for Fox News. They have found 50 links between Ferguson MO and Baltimore.
DeleteSomebody watching the correspondents dinner said, "I understand the French Revolution better now."
Where can I find this info?
DeleteRobert of Ottawa:
Deletehttp://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/08/23/the-communist-agitators-trying-to-ignite-ferguson.html
I originally found similar on littlegreenfootballs... but I mostly have a hard time stomaching that site... so I just found another reference there.
They're descended from the same stock as ruckus/black bloc, direct-action-people. Mainly communists/anarchists... people who think they know better and aren't afraid to use violence to achieve their utopia of despotism.

Lots of astute commentary here, the low information voters have been recruited and organized by agitators (not difficult to do). The fault lies with the halfrican and Holder who have actively encouraged such lawlessness.
ReplyDeleteNot to put too fine a point on it, these low information voters are along for a free ride for their entire lives, in former times honest people like Chris Rock defined them adequately as niggas, google fee fi fo figga to understand what i say.

ReplyDeleteAnother fundamental transformation?
And while this is all going on, the bony-assed FESTERING PUSTULE makes glib jokes and muses about going back to his roots as a scumbag organizer. Yeah. Maybe in exile in Saudi, cockbreath, when all the truth about your past comes out.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see how the government has really set this atmosphere up, go to a tax prep office (H&R Block; Jackson Hewitt, etc) starting January 15th to February 28th. Single mothers with 6 children to 5 or 6 different men, and knowing how much earned income will help them with the Earned Income credit. They can have zero taxable income so the $1,000 child tax credit could become refundable as well. If they work and make too much money, it lowers the refund.
ReplyDeleteIt's astounding that some of these women can come out expecting anywhere from $7,000 or more as a refund. That's some easy moolah! And they live for that time of year.
$7k per annum, even with a full-time under-the-table minimum wage job (or two), *particularly* with six kids... is nowhere near 'easy money'.
DeleteI don't think that's a profile of concern. The people of concern are the well educated people, like a guy I met once who had his buddy turn in his unemployment forms while he was traveling around world rather than looking for a job.
- reader #1482
May not have minimum wage jobs. Loads live off the ACDC welfare money (about $1500 a month per kid), in Section 8 housing, free Medical, breakfast/lunch et al programs for the kids. This includes illegal alien young teen mothers -- a profile of concern in my book.
DeletePre paid Democrats....
DeleteDip--re "ignorant and overpaid" teachers, I thought the same before walking an extra mile in their shoes. There are lots of teachers who have learned a lot both in school and in life, and they're giving their best. School administrations, like many other large organizations across the land, do an awful lot of what they do simply to avoid a lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteAs a history teacher, I know I often gripe that I am a professional swindler of the young. That's largely due to the textbooks and curricula which I am given, and which I can't stray too far from if I want to keep receiving my paycheck (which I supplement with Chinese-English document translation--a second job in which I fork out half of my earnings to local, state, and national government because I'm supposedly a bloodsucking, evil, exploitive, self-employed capitalist exploiter of honest working Americans [including undocumented ones, according to Harry Reid] who needs to have his "wealth" redistributed). I have colleagues in other moonlight jobs facing the same issue.
Yes, I agree that the public education system needs a number of drastic reforms--but largely because the systems installed to police the folks who police the folks who police the police are miserable failures, saddling us with layers of people who are "educators" who never set foot in a classroom, but who can't say NO to the latest peddler of technogimmicks or standardized tests (to which we lose, in my DC area system, about 50 instructional days per year).
I'm also with #1482, for I get to meet a lot of people whose chief talent is gaming the system. Unfortunately, it seems every attempt to protect the system from such gamers makes it all the more sclerotic and cumbersome.
Kepha, so many great points in your post.
DeleteI come from a long line of teachers: grandmother, mother, and father, all teachers. My Dad was Principal of the Diane S. Leichman School for special needs children. He resigned the job that he loved so much, after his secretary was replaced with a politically-correct but incompetent affirmative action hire. That broke his heart, as he saw that the children did not matter, as long as the Agenda was incorporated into the school.
My favorite teacher in 7th-8th grade was a lady named Miss Mirrasu; God bless her, she gave me a love for literature that still endures. She only lasted two years at my Jr. High School, as she was politically in-correct; she was replaced by an incompetent who ensured the chairs were lined up in neat rows, but who had difficulty English language. Oh well, that's "progress" for you. This was back in 1959 or so, and the insanity has gone up exponentially since then.
I don't have solutions, unfortunately. All I can do is "go Galt" and try not to contribute to the madness. Instapundit reckons that public schooling is actually child abuse, and I tend to agree. Glad my children are grown, I couldn't subject them to what the school system has become today.
Grrr. ...difficulty..."with the"...English language... (looks like I do too!)
DeleteExactly, Diplomad. The Democratic Party has execrable leadership and bizarrely credulous followers.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first read that a team of Nation of Islam, Bloods, and Crips were offering to keep the peace, I thought of those Sopranos episodes involving the black 'pastor' and his organization. Those groups proceeded with ethnic cleansing and destroying businesses that might employ young black men in jobs other than dealing illegal drugs.
Now we see the state attorney de facto endorsing the mob's actions. We have a US president and Atty General (Holder) who have fueled racial animosities since the Gates arrest at the start of his presidency.
Add other issues the Left loves and it's hard to be optimistic about the future.
--Alicia
The democrats never listened to the wisdom of Daniel Patrick Moynihan. He may have been a liberal Democrat, yet this was when liberal also meant intelligent. Back in the '60's when much of the welfare legislation was passed he was speaking out against the welfare programs (and most insidiously support of a woman and her child hence no father in the picture....) as they were written. He warned what would happen to the 't'.
ReplyDeleteMoynihan was even called a racist for his honesty. Baltimore is only the latest symptom of the Democrat's refusal to listen. More money will be called for to treat Baltimore's symptoms as well as hundreds of other communities with the same problem. Too few dare to speak the truth about what causes these symptoms.
