Leftist Savagery Continues

On May 1, I posted a piece "commemorating" the 100 days of leftist savagery that we had seen since President Trump's inauguration. I noted that during those first 100 days,
Opponents tried to disrupt the inauguration, and have engaged in a consistent pattern of street violence and thuggery aimed at intimidating Trump supporters and trying to give the impression that the country is ungovernable unless the progressives are in charge. Nothing is off limits, including Trump's family, in this assault on the new president. Unprecedented coarseness, violence, and fake news are all arrows in the progressive quiver and being unleashed on Trump and supporters daily.
We have marched past the 100-day milestone and this leftist savagery shows no signs of abating. As the Russian collusion nonsense implodes, especially after the bizarre Comey's bizarre testimony, the lefties are going for some sort of an obstruction of justice gambit in which Trump is accused of trying to block an investigation on him which was not happening, and somehow trying to block an investigation into others by saying that he hoped it would proceed. Whole thing doesn't make sense except in the whacky world of Washington where process, crime, words, actions, leaks all become melded into some weird legalistic lawyer salad in which one can pick out any little piece of condiment one wants and say the whole salad is about that.

Even Kafka would be amazed at how people can be accused of nonsense, then be accused of debunking that nonsense, and then accused of preventing an investigation of that nonsense that was not happening in the first place. . .

What exactly is the Special Counsel investigating? He's investigating an investigation that found nothing, and is determined, it seems, to bring charges of some kind against somebody for doing nothing wrong. A sad, horrible, destructive joke, and, of course, after AG Sessions masterful appearance before the Senate, this whole thing should go away . . . but, no, no it won't . . ..

The leftist savages, not content to limit their terrorism to the faux legal/media world, have encouraged it to spill out into the real world where real people live and work and play. They have expanded and built on the savagery evinced by the BLM "movement" and the thugs from ANTIFA. We now have seen a Bernie Bro take up a weapon, and go Republican hunting on a baseball diamond in Virginia. Thank God and some brave and straight-shooting Capitol Hill cops, the only one who departed this planet was the lefty psycho. As so happens every time the lefties' narrative takes a hit, you know, the one about Trump people being violent fascists, they try to shift it to something else. Gun control is the standard fall back, and now we also are hearing that the Bernie Bro was driven to his actions by the hateful rhetoric of the Trumpsters. The hateful eliminationist rhetoric and play acting of the left and its echo chamber media, that had nothing to do with anything since that's just art and free expression. Only right-wing speech and symbols can drive people on the right and on the left to violence.

Gotta keep up, folks, gotta keep up. Confederate flags will turn ordinary people into mass murderers, but Communist and Anarchist flags, idiotic "comedians" pretending to behead the President, stage actors "assassinating" the President, a defeated and corrupt Democrat Presidential candidate talking about joining the "Resistance," well, that's just freedom at work, nothing to see here, move along, move along, the next meeting of that Resistance is in five minutes, drinks and ammo will be provided.

As an example, the New York Times just commented on the appalling interrogation of Jeff Sessions by Kamala Harris -- as an example of how women are oppressed by vile men who interrupt them.

Concur! Still, its an improvement over the GOPe tango 1 step forward 3 steps back! While the Progs dance all over our feet! At long-last we seem to come to the realization, that we the Conservative voters must stand our ground, or we won't have any ground to stand on.

Viz Harris' disrespectful interrogation tactics against Jeff Sessions -- And That's the POS that the Left is touting as Presidential timber?! Nice to see that the AG doesn't suffer fool's gladly! Btw, was it my TV or was that Kamala Harris bimbo broadcast in the most stomach churning shade of gray they could dial-up, maybe it was the suit and the puss on her?! Anyhoot, let's hope the 'Rats continue to dredge up talent like her!

      I agree.

With each escalation of the violence I have been hoping that saner heads in the DNC and the media might recognise were this could end, and dial it back, but apparently not. When it finally spilled into attempted political assassination / terrorism I thought surely now even the political / media ideologues will calm down, but again, apparently not; and if they won't stop at this then it seems any notion of the rule of law is gone, at least on the left. I truly don't know what is wrong with these people; they must be brainwashed cretins if they think that the whole population will sit back and let them steal the governance of the US by murder and thuggery.

I am sad to say I think 'something wicked this way comes', and it is going to get ugly unless someone with authority takes a stand.

That said I am suspicious that all of this violence is intended to provoke Trump into an over-reaction that will be used to justify removing him. There is a fine line to walked, and I truly hope Trump can see it.

    3. Brett, this will continue until the Left takes casualties at the hands of law enforcement and maybe even patriotic civilians. These casualties are most likely among the street anarchists and the media types that egg them on. A hesitant army of canon fodder causes a movement to flounder. The higher ups within the Left will love the casualties as they allow for victim hood. These higher ups will not be on the streets with the canon fodder.

BO and his Progressive collaborators have been planning, erecting, and training a "brown shirts" operation since at least 2008 -- Euphemistically described as a "Civilian National Security Force, just as powerful, just as strong, and just as well funded" as the 'US Military'... Now, what do you suppose those playas might try to accomplish with such a paramilitary force let loose inside America? I mean, after they repeal the 2nd Amendment, unseat the CinC in a FBI-CIA-Congressional Kangaroo court? And require the USA to submit to the will of the UN/EU? Any Guesses?

  5. Gun control? Yes, it should be a requirement that each congressman carry a handgun away from Capitol Hill.

BTW, while the Capitol Police responded bravely and are very accurate shots, I have to wonder if they were trained properly for this. Apparently they stationed themselves by a dugout and were looking at their charges so they never noticed the arrival of the rifle-carrying shooter just outside the grounds through the chain-link fence. But if one goes to a major league baseball game you'll notice that the armed policemen are stationed along the first and third baselines, eyes outward, surveying the crowd, and thus ready to respond BEFORE someone could attack the ballplayers.

Not sure how "accurate" they were initially, as there are reports of many rounds being expended before they were able to bring the perp down -- in the end tho, they were accurate enough!

Agree, the security perimeter at the ballfield seems to have been a fairly casual affair. I was struck by the fact that my Cong. Rep. Ron DeSantis answered the shooters query as to whether the players on the field were Dems or Gop! Seems, our Guys are naively behind the curve when it comes to closing doors before thugs, and mean-spirited reporters, get the drop on us, and gain access to Congressional events and venues! Do hope, and pray too, that the GOP whip survives, and is able to get back in the saddle asap!

    2. Any pistol v rifle contest with ranges beyond 50 feet will inevitably be very one sided. Don't know what the distances were but that they prevailed at all might be ascribed as much to sheer grit and luck as "accuracy". As to their placement - low profile, unpublicized, early morning event (how did he know where to find them anyway?), no attack on congressmen as a group since the Puerto Ricans in the 1950s so I can’t really fault them for not being above/detached from the casualness of it all. So now there is a new reality for everyone, and not a good one. Security will tighten for the politicians and, via 2nd Amend weakening, become less so for deplorables. The ruling class will become even more isolated from our reality.

As my admittedly limited knowledge permits, its my understanding that only Scalise's (personal) security detail was to hand so, it would seem to me they placed themselves appropriately - which is to say, watching over their assigned charge, Mr. Scalise.

Too, from a video The Five show presented (taken by what I presume was a spectator/bystander) there was some "small talk" near the end of the clip where voice[s] can be heard exchanging, "Does anybody know where the shooter is?" That suggests to me the non-specialists [the intendeds] were clueless in the main concerning specifically where the threat was coming from.

That the security detail engaged as quickly as they did (having I can only suppose - separated all the number of intendeds from the sole threat) was damn well nicely performed.

Btw, Shooter in addition to the SKS, also had a 9mm pistol, not sure what he was firing at the end of the shootout... crime scene analysis should answer that question.

..."no attack on congressmen as a group since the Puerto Ricans in the 1950s so I can’t really fault them for not being above/detached"

I can, in the new age of Islamic terrorism since 911, in Barack Obama manipulated country since 2008, with porus borders, through which he's all but openly invited jihadis and other illegals in to kill us. We've had more than fair warning of ongoing and growing vulnerabilities. Don't really care nowadays if the "ruling class" aka Politicians hunker down, and skip 'Town Hall' leftist ambushes -- as long as they vote wisely on the bills and issues before them, if not, vote 'em out! Agree the bad guys will always be making moves to disarm lawful carry citizens, it's our job to check them, that is, if we want to continue to be able to defend ourselves, our families, and our country!

  6. I think this is only the beginning. While there has been a lot of rhetoric thrown around by everyone only the Democrats have made a concerted effort to delegitimize any non-Democrat government going back at least to the Reagan admin, and, starting with GW Bush, even dehumanize the political Other. People are watching this and doing the math: fascists assault anyone they don’t like with impunity + Comey openly admits to manipulating dupe Rosenstein to appoint deep swamp crony Mueller as grand inquisitor solely to hurt the duly elected POTUS and is hailed as a hero + member of Democrat base openly hunts Other rep’s in broad daylight, acting out the open fantasies articulated by the “creative” and “wise” = an utter repudiation of a constitutional, representative republic. We deplorables are realists and if that is the reality then so be it. Do Democrats really think that they won’t reap what they have sown? Are they really so stupid that they think that they can rule by anything short of brute force? Or is that likelihood a feature for them?
We are rapidly approaching (may have already passed) a point of no return and the deep state is pedal to the metal.

  8. Yes, the situation in Washington is truly Kafkaesque nowadays. President Putin was a bit humorous about it yesterday when he had his live call-in show. He offered Comey political asylum in Russia. Putin said that Comey must be in the situation of Snowden, persecuted , hunted. No ? Really ? Well, to Putin it looks " weird when the head of a secret agency records his conversations with the Commander-in-Chief and then hands it over to the media via a friend". Putins jokingly question lingers, why is Comey not in Snowdens situation ? Snowden is only a human activist while this man was in an important position. So, listen Comey, Putin is ready for you in Russia. Very ready. Just go.

It's the same craziness by which the left and their media is able to make the Hillary/DNC leaks about *who* leaked them rather than their contents.
They're able to select, and the media gobbles it up. If it's critical of an enemy of the progressives, the source or method of leak doesn't matter at all. But if it's critical of a progressive, the *only* story allowed in this media is "how it got out."

They've got nothing on Trump, they know it, and they're just pushing every lawyer level they can to delay the point in time at which Trump's agenda starts getting traction in the government. The GOP shouldn't be waiting for them, and Trump shouldn't be placating the GOP with executive branch appointments (I'm ok with placating the GOP via legislative branch appointments for some reason... maybe because I don't want Trump to nominate 'judge judy' to scotus or something..)

    1. Well JC's advice and intentions are wise counsel, yet, unlikely to be heard by the side that needs it the most. I well remember heading down to the polling place (Fire Dept) on Election Day, my folks holding my hands. Friends and neighbors, handshakes and hugs, nary a look or word of disrespect, or who's a REP or DEM! Into the booth, pull the levers, out! Of course this was at the end of WWII and the time of the Police Action in Korea! Amazing how equally Patriotic we all seemed to be, when the real enemy was on the prowl... Unfortunately the REAL enemy today has breeched the gates, and is attacking US in our homes, schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and our playgrounds too! Those, on the Right have gone above and beyond to placate those on the LEFT, who are mostly responsible for the MESS we see everyday. We've stepped back from the fray to the point where we have no defensible space left to retreat to.

And still the Progressive/Socialist/Democrats continues their push to destroy the USA of our forebears. I note that Mr. Carter closes with a quote from Lincoln's 1st Inaugural speech, which echo's Trump's 1st inaugural Speech, evidently though, the wise words of both orators have fallen on the deaf ears of the Progressive 'useful idiots', bless their hearts:

“I am loath to close. We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.”

Sadly, it seems evident, that the hardheaded jackassery contingent of the American electorate are unwilling to accept the obvious, and have chosen to ignore the path of wisdom as well. Suspect they shall reap what they sow, too bad we and our progeny will all have to pay the piper for it!

Hell, they cannot even develop a budget that makes the country live within its means. They do not exercise leadership. So in a vacuum of leadership this dysfunctional behavior comes out of the woodwork.

The trajectory of decline has not changed. Better learn how to take yourself and your family. Nobody else will. Congress and the bureaucracy will busy taking care of themselves.

President Trump definitely did not need the vicious attacks on his agenda, himself, and his family, but he must have felt a calling to try to make a change in the trajectory we are heading, and I pray that he can make some headway.
