Mobs and Tribes

What a weird week. I know that phrase is getting used a lot lately, but still.

Well, I am so glad that the rest of the world has caught up with the Diplomad in my long-time description of the Democrat Party as the party of the lynch mob. If you have absolutely nothing else to do, feel free to go through posts over several years, and you will find my description of the world's oldest political party as the party of the lynch mob.

That is what Democrats and their acolytes do: they create, lead, and participate in lynch mob justice. Just about any issue they adopt quickly becomes fodder for that mob. It is time for the Democratic Party to go away, and completely restructure itself into something other than what it is now. Time, in that old post WWII phrase, for the Democrats to "demob." Battering cars, flinging yourselves at doors, forming cry circles, chasing people out of restaurants, and threatening anybody who disagrees with you with acts of "incivility" is not the way to go.

To add just another touch of weirdness, we have Senator Elizabeth Warren proudly announcing DNA results that "PROVE" she's a Native American. She fell right into Trump's trap. She had made a nice career for herself in Harvard and other "elite" institutions by claiming to be a Native American woman of color. Trump promptly labelled her Pocahontas and made her a laughing stock. She couldn't leave it alone and doubled down, taking Trump's DNA test challenge. She produced a weird video in which some geneticist whom she hired says she definitely has Native American "markers" in her DNA. You can read up on this weirdness but I must just point out that she has a tiny fraction of "Native American" DNA, which folks have been quick to point out is well below that which average Americans have. What has not been too widely noted has been that these DNA testing services have little if any Native American DNA samples from North America as most of the tribal nations have refused to participate in providing samples. The testing company's "Native American" DNA samples actually come from Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia. So if the test has "proved" anything, it has "proved" that Warren might be 1/1024 part hispanic Aztec, Mayan, or Inca. Wow! The clown of Mass has beclowned herself further. Trump wins again.

Before I have to return to my hurricane damage duties and working on my father's estate, let me make this vow before my six readers: I take the pledge never to vote for any Democrat or Democrat-backed policy ever in my life.

Let's make the mid-terms memorable. I want to see more prog crying circles, and more progs flinging themselves against giant locked doors . . . it brings me great pleasure in my old age.

  1. I struggle to see how anyone can voluntarily affiliate themselves with the democrat party. Particularly older folk, who voted for JFK and such-like.
The death of Shame is a real...shame.

  2. She has said, apparently, that her parents had to elope because the family of her father objected to her mother's Cherokee descent. A delusion? A pale-faced lie? A naive belief in family legend? She's a politician so I vote for its being a conscious lie.

  4. Years ago, an old-line Democrat bemoaned that the Democrats had changed from the party of the Hand Up to the party of the Hand Out.

A lot of voting is tribal, unfortunately. The opportunity is that the biggest tribe is the non-voters. If someone can get the non-voters fired up enough to come out and vote, as Ross Perot did years ago, things can be changed. Unfortunately, the Not-The-Democrat party has real problems recognizing opportunity.

  5. You know, every time I think things can't possibly get any weirder, people like Elizabeth Warren, Avenatti and Clinton pop up and prove me wrong.

  6. I took that pledge, Diplo, right here on your blog on September 30. Never again to vote for a single Democrat. I have just seen my ballot for November 6, as we vote by mail here. There are a couple of minor functionaries running who are true morons, but listed as "prefers Republican Party". Rather than vote for the Democrap alternative, that space will be left blank. So will all the unopposed Democraps listed.

    1. Take note of those unopposed Offices. Start working with willing people to run against the Dems next election. Then chastise the local GOP for not having Candidates running for every Office, regardless of how low or unimportant.

  7. For the Dem party to heal itself, it needs to be defeated. Something has to initiate some soul searching...as in do they even have one anymore or are they just an insatiable appetite for power. For the Dems to undergo a process like this, each faction will have to agree to the problem and then hammer out a plan. Not likely and remain intact.

  9. D'Mad,

While you're correct about the lynch mob mentality the Democratic Party displays, there's another aspect that needs to be cited. I'm writing about the fabulist instincts that they have. Consider the Steele File as but one piece of evidence. The anti-Kavanaugh nonsense is another. How great the Obama years were … the sainthood of Ted the Red Kennedy … the list just does not end.

  10. Not a single D for me. Not for the fed house seat which is almost certain D here, but one less vote. Not for any state positions, not for any local positions. I don't don't care if the R's are running Marquis de Sade he gets my vote over any D.

    1. Same here. I'm a California native, and have cast my mail vote, and several positions on my ballot were left blank.

After much reflection I withheld my endorsement of either the old evil, Sen. Feinstein, or the new evil, Candidate DeLyin'. I also couldn't vote for either candidate for Lt. Governor, as they are both Democrats and I refuse to vote for a Democrat.

Having to choose between two evil candidates is a result of the "jungle primary" or "top two" system that the Democrats put in; the only way to avoid voting for someone you'd hate to see in office is to not vote at all in the general election. Don't let this happen in your state!

  11. Oh, the irony of this post immediately following a post about changing the definitions of words. Was it deliberate?

Women begging a Senator to take sexual assault seriously: a mob.

Proud Boys beating a man down to the ground and screaming "faggot" at him: not a mob.

    Specks and planks.

    1. A group of people harassing an individual is a mob. We can call it that, or we can make excuses.
The behavior of the democrats and their compatriots was reprehensible and was on display for all to see.
      This isn't about sexual harassment.
The very first words of Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing and subsequent discussions were disrupted by the democrat mob.
I make no excuses for mobs of haters instigating a heckler's veto of the processes of government and other people's free speech.

    2. You say: "Women begging a Senator to take sexual assault seriously"
Because there was no evidence of the truth of the assault and there was evidence of it's falsehood, "to take sexual assault seriously" would be to ignore her lies and move on. Real victims are not helped by obvious frauds claiming assault.

    3. You mean the antifa fucks who got the shit kicked out of them after they threw a bottle at the proud boys at their own event? Yea, they shouldn't of kicked him when he was down but then I am old school and also don't believe in attacking people who are disagreeing with me but are just talking...you know not like antifa who beats people with bike locks and signs and shit,

Also at the same time those "paragons of moral and civic virtue" we call antifa were mobing and mugging a guy who was walking away from the event. In fact the only reason he probably isn't dead or in the hospital is because some more of the proud boys stopped them.

Now want to talk about mobs?

PS, To most people I know Faggot is simply someone I don't like. Honestly what gay people fo or don't do or like etc has little impact on my life.

    4. reader #482/Dr. Weasel, thank you for demonstrating how to completely dodge the content of a comment with irrelevant chatter, and at the same time try to keep women who have suffered assault silent. Well done!

    5. James,

The Proud Boys have a physical confrontation as one of their membership levels, and while Antifa groups do commit violence, it's not a membership requirement. The Proud Boys are proud of their propensity for violence.

I can find plenty of left-wing politicians and other notables decrying the actions of Antifa. Right-wingers ignore or defend the the Proud Boys.

Sure, we can talk mobs all you want. The outcome won't favor the Rethuglicans.

  12. I voted for a D once, for governor. He was a good'un and did well by the state. Positively Trumpian before that was a descriptive term. Of course, today he couldn't even get the nomination. Bruce Sundlun.

But If I had to wager, oh 'dearme', I'd bet her "pukka" was simply a socialist sycophant serving her lost cause, by prolonging progressive propaganda as proof that a skunk can become a squaw, for enrollment purposes.

  16. I *really* don't get this Khashoggi thing... It would *seem* that the democrats/media are outmaneuvering the GOP/Trump on this... how?
What business is it of ours if Saudi Arabia assassinates one of their own citizens (assuming that's what happened)?
Why is our media breathlessly repeating anonymous sources 3rd hand from turkish state media? Is there *nobody* wondering what Turkey's agenda is on this issue? How is this managing to make headlines at all?
I'm not advocating that killing people for political differences is some sort of a 'good thing'.. just saying... what business is it of ours if it's a) not a US citizen victim, b) not a US citizen perpetrator, or c) on US soil? How is it that Trump is being baited into spending a tweet on this at all?

    1. Well #1482, Kashoggi held a green card (The Lord knows why) and was thus, in a sense, under the protection of the USA. His killing affects the honor of our country. On the other hand, Trump is correct that there are, as yet, no facts that we know, only anonymous hearsay. We might also note that Kashoggi was a long-time Saudi spook and member of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is a terrorist organization (and Eerdogan's AKP is more-or-less the Turkish branch of it). There may be intel matters involved.

If the Saudis did kill him, and I suspect they did, I don't envy Trump the task of figuring out how to make US displeasure known while maintaining our alliance with a key opponent of our enemies in Iran.

Those who insist that we must not treat as allies thugs in power might do well to recall that in WWII we allied with the USSR to defeat the Nazis. The Commies were every bit as bad as the Nazis. Should we not have allied with them to defeat the more urgently dangerous threat? It seems to me that the question answers itself.

As for Fauxcahontas, her percentage of "native American" genome is minute, well below one percent. Since the average non-African person has about two percent of his genome made up of Neandertal genes,we can say that Fauxcahontas is probably much more related to Neandertals than to Cherokees. How embarrassing for the Neandertals.

  17. CLEAR PROP ~~ SWITCH ON ~~ CONTEXT

As Daniel Greenfield put it: "The Khashoggi case demands +>CONTEXT<-. Before the media and the politicians [aka D'rat MOBs] who listen to it [ISLAMIC BULLSH!T] drag the United States into a conflict with the [House of Saud] over a Muslim Brotherhood [operative], based on the word of an enemy country [tyrannical DICTATOR] still holding Americans hostage, we deserve the context. And we deserve the truth."

AS USUAL THO THE DEMOCRAT LYNCH MOB, are not happy jackasses that TRUMP failed to step-in their RUSSIAN style crap-pile, so NOW they DEMAND that THE USA SHOOT THE SAUDIs FIRST, BEFORE WE have a chance at EXPOSING THE TURK/S WHO MADE MINCEMEAT OUT OF THE DUMB MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD SOB, Jamal, who has been attempting to engineer a TURK version of a GOLDEN SHOWER for the USA, before the muckraking camel turd was sent off to paradise with a his Houri harlots, piss on em all ~~~ 'the long the short and the tall'! SWITCH OFF! SET BRAKES! Anybody bring bacon?

  18. I'd be happy to vote for a Democrat and I will, just as soon as there's one in Maryland that is pro-2nd Amendment, pro-life, pro-border, pro-military, pro-cop, capitalist, and actually means it when they swear to uphold and defend the Constitution.

I'd like pro-dog and anti-cat, but I can negotiate those.

They're aren't many Republicans running for office, let alone holding office in Maryland that can check that list off, or even come close and it is why the state is circling the drain (Baltimore).
