Not a cheery Fourth.
Our country and the West have sunk to Mariana Trench depths. Our friend from the War of Independence, the one we all love to hate and then love, again, France, is burning; its stores, schools, cultural centers, automobiles, all ablaze in an outburst of violence. Cops injured. This time not from some Prussian or German attack, but from people from North Africa and elsewhere to whom France rolled out the welcome mat. We see the same grim outlook throughout most of Europe, a place where the elites have decided that they so hate their civilization that will turn it over to savages.
We, of course, see the same forces at work here in the USA on birthday number 247.
Western civilization, the greatest the world has ever known, is dying: poisoned, bludgeoned and set afire by the creatures who have emerged from its schools of "higher learning" in alliance with some of the most retrograde elements of the most retrograde civilizations on earth. I wrote years ago, that our progressive elites have entered into a Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with the jihadis, but it is a much more inclusive Pact than that.
If you hate your culture, your country, your history--although you might not know it--and have serious personality disorders, e.g., think you're a woman when you're a man, you are welcome in the club. Pick up your mask at the gate.
Above all you must be a racist: you must hate white people even if you're white.
The mentally disturbed have the controls.
All that said, we will have our July 4 BBQ; we will toast the nation we thought we had.
I will look at my grandkids and wonder what kind of a Fourth they will have in not too many years.
France is finding out way too late diversity isn't what it's made out to be, like the War is the Answer shtick, it's only great if everyone agrees. One side thinks their way of life is better than yours you need to fight or succumb.

I came up with an updated Declaration of Independence. (From Joe Biden)

Sounds solid A&W, I'd also like to, see a required Practical Field Exam, to include some range time, so the girls & boys don't hurt themselves in their haste to square things away.

The Republic isn't dead yet, but it is clearly very, very ill.

ReplyDeleteIt's divorce. As a culture, we accepted its rise in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. With a religious fervor, our 'mental health industrial complex' set about normalizing the massive disenfranchisement that comes to kids from divorced families.
ReplyDeleteI was raised in those times, and among my peers now, the split is quite clear. Regardless of amicability in post-split operations, divorce prunes children from their parents and grafts them onto the state. We suborned that in great numbers, and now we have generations of rootless adults who receive direction from the only people who 'care' about them, ie, those who will lie and cheat them.
France made this transition decades earlier. Their problems are compounded.
Japan has yet to 'normalize' divorce into their culture, but it appears to be coming.
It's worse for a child than their dad sacrificing of himself in a war.
I agree with your assessment, but see it as inevitable due to our cultural choices.
If your parents can turn on you, anybody can.

On the other hand, the Swedes seem to be rethinking the whole "open arms" thing. It takes a while to turn a Leviathan.
ReplyDeleteAt last, the Swedes are getting fed up, as are the Norwegians. I doubt that the Moslems are going to like it very much when the Norwegians and Swedes go Viking on them.

"THE GLORIOUS FOURTH"
Celebrations in Australia
[1943]
SYDNEY, Monday [July 5]: Throughout Australia today American service men and women celebrated American Independence Day with austere functions. In Sydney, American societies and organizations arranged a long programme of celebrations. A women's committee of the American Centre distributed half-pound blocks of chocolates to 1400 U.S. service men in nearby hospitals-. The main event was a 'gridiron' match between the U.S. Army and Navy, which the Army won. 14 points to nil. So large was the crowd that the gates had to be closed two hours before the match was scheduled to begin and 10,000 were turned away, with 32,000 inside.
In Melbourne very generous support was accorded the various celebrations functions. Special services were held in all churches, and a combined sports carnival on the Richmond ground was attended by 35,000 people."

In our still somewhat Southern, polite, part of Gu'ff coast Florida, we sallied forth to enjoy an Urban Picni with friends. Then we RTB'd to ascend to the cupola to view fireworks visible up to about fifteen miles distant as well as just down the beach.
ReplyDeleteMost happy and enjoyable, despite the relentless corrosion from society's whipworms, scabies, and liver flukes.
