Good or Bad for the Jews

"Good or Bad for the Jews"

Sums it up re a University Education . . .

Took this picture today over at the University of California, Irvine.

One picture kinda sums up where our universities are . . . and I don't want to hear that this is some clever discourse on Newtonian physics, Kantian limits of knowledge, or Hegelian dialectic. . .

  2. I think it is because of Relativity. If the world goes down, the cage in the elevator looks going up.

  3. Very mysterious. The controls appear to be on a ceramic tile wall, usually only found in a restroom. If true, this would have unexpected philosophical and physiological ramifications.

  4. If I was the merry prankster; next I'd turn both arrows up, followed by correcting them, then pointing them to the left and right, then.... fill the elevator with packing peanuts via the escape hatch. Because Deans always hate packing peanuts. Trust me, on that one.

I do like the way you think, Sir. Was wondering if for fun & merriment, an official looking sign might be placed above the panel with reference to the deadbolt, reading, 'CRM-114 Auto-Destruct Circuit', words to that effect?

Your suggestions? This could be fun.

  5. Unfortunately, I have seen an elevator where the instructions shown were correct. It was a freight elevator, and it only came up back to the bottom floor if the down button were pressed. If one only pressed the "Up" button, nothing would happen.

The tile might be a result of this picture being taken in a basement.

A better sign would have said "Elevator does not Home on basement. Please press Down to return it to the ground floor."

    1. A precocious eight year old should be able solve the problem by wiring both switches together.
By any chance did either of these elevators happen to be in buildings that housed the creators of the Common Core Curriculum?

Might this be a Commie Korpse Kurriculum reminder that to rise to prominence in a fundamentally transformed third-world police state, one must go low?

A practical example is the current cover of Vogue, as reported in NYPOST dot com, which features a photo of gutter-snout rapper/hoodlum/trillionaire Kanye West entwined with one of the Kardashian chicas, whose daddy is said to be an after the fact accomplice in the OJ double-homicide.

Examples are abundant, street agitators with vague, shifting backgrounds becoming presidents.

This is an operant conditioning mechanism to remind students that instead of the racist, bigoted, intolerant motto of 'go west, young man', PC recipe for success is, 'go low, young man'.

Oldsters can get in on the fun, too: inside the elevator one can view a video of Chubby Checker singing his hit, "Limbo Rock", they lyrics inquiring as to 'how low can you go'.

We have many more depths to plumb before the conclusion.

    1. Ahhh... What does Kanye West being on the cover of vogue magazine with Kim Kardashian have to do with anything?
Also, why is West a hoodlum?

  8. offtopic... since when does the President need the 'propose' changes for the NSA? Last I heard, the President changes the executive branch organizations at-will, no?
If an NSA leader or appointee doesn't like it, they're simply relieved, no?
Why does everything have to be a pandering discussion with this guy?

  9. In the vein of "doing the same thing over and over" in hopes of changing the results, truly committed (and they should be) Progressives would just keep pressing the "down" button in hopes that eventually (a few thousand miles later) they would find themselves now going "up". Or something...

  10. If this is a prank, it reminds me of the small store on a junior college campus at which the proprietor, without benefit of a college education, got some pleasure out of selling bluebooks at 10 cents apiece or two for a quarter and savored every transaction at which the college student customer took the "deal."

  16. It is an act of “Hidden Persuasion”—(see Vance Packard). Conservative students snuck in at night and tiled the elevators to the professors’ floors, to make the students subconsciously associate the transit from the outside world to visiting their professors’ offices, with going to the bathroom. The subtlety of the instruction associates the physical act of directing your refuse down via the button-flush toilet “Down” interaction with flushing your future away by going “Up” to visit the professors.

  19. Whoever did this probably wires like my father plumbed our bathtub when I was a kid. If you wanted hot water you turned on the left handle marked with a big 'C'

  20. I think "Green Bear" probably has the solution above. My first glance caught the tiles and I thought the same as "James", it seemed like a restroom to me and then I noticed the buttons were elevator buttons. Hence my attempt at making a joke above. I think I should have prefaced it with, "This is a joke."

  21. I was just listening to the radio this morning and I guess there was this professor at American University going around asking students to name a U.S. Senator. He did not get a very good turnout and not many students could name a U.S. Senator. That is a joke and students should be able to name at least their own State's. That is our Universities these days.

  22. Hi Diplomad,

I have a question and completely missed it if you have an e-mail link...

In a Vatican press release for the meeting between Obama and Pope Francis, the press release refers to Obama as "the Hon. Barack H. Obama, President of the United States of America" I thought The President was referred to as His Excellency rather than The Honorable. Is this my memory making stuff up wholecloth, a minor mistake by the Vatican Press Office, or a subtle slap by the Vatican at Obama?

    1. As I recall- but may be wrong.
Excellency refers to royalty~ THAT he isn't! Well, royal pain in the conscious brain.
Honorable is used with Judges. Again- he is clearly inept at any such thing and has never been a judicial branch member. Certainly- wishywashy wannabe "lawyer" does NOT allocate to J branch...
      Purely my opinion...
