Good or Bad for the Jews

"Good or Bad for the Jews"

Many years ago, and for many years, I would travel to Morocco to visit uncles, cousins, and my paternal grandmother. Some lived in Tangiers;...

It goes on and on and on . . . .

Sorry for the light blogging. Took a dog break and spent a lot of time with my dogs and my son's new acquisition, Sofia. The Diplodogs are only gradually getting used to the presence of the Diplosondog. Some growls, some shoving, some barking . . . but I think they will eventually accept Sofia into the world.

It's been hard to get enthused about blogging. I have been going to the gym in my futile attempt to become 35 again. This gym seems to run only CNN on its many screens. I don't know if they get paid for it, but here you have it. I just cannot listen to that "news" service and plug in my headphones and listen to Chuck Berry, Tom Petty, and the Stones. That does not let me escape CNN. They run closed captions and, of course, I find myself reading them. It is bash Trump all the time. It really has become obsessive and dhows the truth of what I have written before that there is an element of mental disturbance in the mind of the progressive.

It is not just CNN. I turned on the TV at home the other night and there was pretty boy George Clooney getting some sort of award in France, and going on about these "times of insanity." To think that some here in California seem serious about having Clooney run for the Senate is insane, well, except this is California so the bar is pretty high. Clooney is, I admit, the perfect representative for today's progressives. Fabulously wealthy from playing pretend, glib, married to a foreigner who has a pronounced distaste for the USA and who holds a fake job as a "human rights lawyer," spends most of his time in his walled mansions in England and Italy, and making movies wherever he can get the tax subsidies. Perfect prog.

I also watched as several GOP Congressional town halls got invaded by progressive plants shouting about saving Obamacare, Trump's tax returns, and investigating Russia. Russia! Yes, the progs are so concerned about America's security! Well, except when the threat comes from Mexico or Islam. But Russia and CO2, that must be investigated!

I will try to write something a bit more more, in the coming days, but . . . .

  1. Glad to see you opine. The leakfest at State and the FBI seems to be unstemmed.

    1. There may be times where leaking classified information is 'the right thing to do'. I've just never seen such in any example thus far. Manning, Snowden, or even going back 50 years... the simple situation is that our government has not be out of control on a *clandestine* basis. It's been very *openly* out of control on so very many other things (hence the easy pickings for Trump to come in and say "yeah, you ordered Obama-the-centrist, but you were served the hard left prog agenda, that does indeed taste like cow poop,"

    2. Dip,
Any comments you can offer about State Department personnel changes would be welcome. E.g. Thomas Countryman, why Trump gave him the boot, and what he is saying about Trump now (nothing good).

  4. Careful about going to gyms. Every single person who has entered a gym has eventually died.
My wife once asked me about getting in shape. I told her "round" is a shape.

  5. Yup.. "let's make this country ungovernable". Precisely.
For far too long, we've let the cancer of expression-canceling progressive bullying grow. Law enforcement needs to take down these anarchists and RICO-up their big-money backers.

  6. Clooney's wife is a "human rights" lawyer who used the UN to pressure the Philippines to drop the corruption case against our lovely ex president Gloria Arroyo. Yes, steal a couple million dollars, and help China steal the West Philippine sea, no problem. Did I mention that GMA was Bill Clinton's classmate?

  8. The Clooneys are fans of refugees and very much against Trumps migrant ban, they call him a xenophobic fascist. Now a big makeshift migrant camp has established in Lake Como, Italy, close to their mansion. Dirty, trash, problems. I wonder what they think about that. The other rich people living there are openly complaining. But with some intrigues and money and pressure the problem might go away to some other backyard. Poor peoples backyard. Because that is the way progressives deal with it.

  9. My daughter is staying with my sister for six months in California to help with our aged mother/grandmother. The Daughter Unit says that the news - whatever channel - is non-stop Trump bashing. It's quite unbalanced to watch. (At home, I ditched cable four years ago, we do streaming video at home for entertainment.)

As for the Clooneys and their refugee/migrant-loving ilk, they get to strike a magnanimous pose as great humanitarians, while the neighborhoods and communities where the refugees/migrants actually wind up get the full benefit of crime, depressed wages, trashed property and ruined communal spaces.

  10. Dear Dip, CNN is indeed a scourge as are the other networks. Sometimes I watch just the beginning of ABC NBC CBS evening news and not only are all of them Trump bashing, all of them have exactly the same stories.

On Trump, his biggest challenge right now may be to get Congress to do the right thing. He may be working on undermining the globalist donors that dominate Congress by convincing as many CEOS and other monied types (including unions) as he can that his program is good for them. Thus flipping the donors or creating a new class of donors. I hope this is the case and that it works soon. BTW, Trump's weekly address yesterday was interesting. Very strong and direct, for AAs at the close of Black History Month. I like the end-of-the-week Trump-Pence email that is going out listing what got done that week. And I like the weekly video address. Reliable ways of bypassing the MSM.

Dip, a couple of health notes. My siblings and I are now extremely middle aged, in the 55-65 range. One of us just discovered squats and other free weightlifting exercises ala Rippetoe, which have changed his life and eliminated back pain. Another of us finally bit the bullet and went on an ultra low carb ketogenic diet a couple of months ago with excellent results--finally weight loss and better energy and the promise of reversing what is known as "metabolic syndrome." (Kind of like what the American economy needs.)

  11. On the health front, maybe you can find a Yoga for Seniors class. I have been in one for over a year and what a difference it makes! Also, there is Bodyflow that is suitable for seniors as well. Proper weight training for "wrinklies" is also good. Mind the sugar and carb intake.

  12. We need you to keep writing. Even in the reddest of red states, the constant blather of the never dead, never trump continues. We need to hear a counter to that.

  14. There is a bright side to the Clooney and Streep insanity. Ditto for those "concerned citizens" at the congressional town hall meetings who refuse to stand up and do the pledge of allegiance. It exposes them for what they are. I suspect Clooney is one of those who believes that America was never great. He isn't stupid and is probably smart enough to never say that but I suspect he believes it. As he should since he is a citizen of the world and all.
The left/the Democrats have taken a sharp turn to the left. They endorsed Tom Perez a radical race baiter as their leader and Keith Ellison as has second. The two least tolerant national Democrats (and that is an amazing feat with so many to choose from) to lead the DNC to victory. Victory over what??? The middle class? The constitution? Borders? All of the above.

  17. Try talking to whoever is manning the gym about turning on something better-- it's getting kind of crazy. How crazy? Stayed at a hotel about a month ago, up near SeaTac airport, and their breakfast area had... Fox News.

And half the folks there were watching it, calmly, no cat calls or anything.

  18. If by gym, you mean rows of CV machines with TVs in your face-STOP. Find a real gym, one with free weights and a squat rack. If you want to do some CV work, swim laps once or twice a week.
