Sri Lanka Massacre

The death toll from the Easter bombings in Sri Lanka continues to climb. From press reports, it seems that perhaps some 300 people were murdered and hundreds more injured. Absolutely disgusting barbarity.

I lived in Sri Lanka for three years, and know almost all the bombed sites, including St. Anthony's. I made a lot of friends in Sri Lanka, and am horrified by what "some people" did to their beautiful country.

Almost as repulsive as these attacks on innocent people has been the reaction of the media and much of the political elite around the world. As George Orwell famously observed in 1946, "To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle." Let's engage in that struggle.

When word of the horror first began to get out, the media, in the guise of not jumping to conclusions, spent a long time talking about Sri Lanka's past civil war, trying to make it seem as if these bombings form part of a long history, i.e., nothing to see here, move along, it's just Sri Lanka. I read and heard commentary that the attacks likely had come from some reborn LTTE (Tamil Tigers) faction, or from Buddhists upset by Christian proselytizing. All hideous nonsense.

We had those Great Regulators of Moral Standards, President Obama and Crooked Hillary, issuing almost identical Tweets bemoaning attacks (by whom?) on foreign tourists and, my favorite phrase, on "Easter worshippers." What a great phrase, "Easter worshippers." When I first saw it, I thought something had happened on Easter Island. Then I thought, who worships Easter? Nobody I know. Maybe these paragons of moral rectitude just had a senior moment, and let slip away the word they really meant to use, you know, "Christians." Yes, there I said it, Christians.

"Some people" carried out deliberate and well-planned attacks meant to kill hundreds of Christians, local and foreign: "To see what is in front of one's nose needs a constant struggle."

Now that I think of it, have we left something out of our commentary? Have we missed something in our own struggle "to see what is in front of one's nose"? What could it be? What, what could it be? Oh, yes! The "some people"! Guess who they were? One guess, only. Yes, the Religion of Peace! Don't I give the hardest quizzes? Wonder if Obama and Crooked Hillary could pass?

These attacks form part of a long-running war, one of some 1400 years, of Islam against Christianity and Judaism. This war takes place in Western places such as New York, San Bernardino, Tampa, Boston, Ft. Hood, Copenhagen, London, Paris, Nice, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Brussels, Sydney, and Ottawa; let us not forget, however much the press might want us to, that it also occurs even more violently and often with much higher death tolls in places such as Kenya, Sudan, Nigeria, Indonesia, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, India, and, now, Sri Lanka.

As I noted long ago, "We should be at war; instead, we are under attack." Let's be very clear: these murderers were not "radicalized" by the internet, nor do they comprise some crazy 1% fringe that have misinterpreted the teachings of Islam. They are Islam.

When you look in front of your nose you will see, it is the Islam.

Islam is not a religion like the others. It is a creed of conquest and destruction. We see that, again, this time in the churches, hotels, and streets of Sri Lanka.

  1. Isn't it fitting that "Some People" who push Russian Collusion also cannot conceive of "Religion of Peace" adherents committing "something?"

  2. Islamophobia, an interesting word an oxymoron of sorts. Phobia, the irrational fear of something.
I would suggest that fear of Islam is not irrational but healthy and justified.

“Islamophobia – A word created by fascists and used by cowards to manipulate morons.”

  3. I read an analysis a while ago about how Christianity has generally grown laterally by proselytizing, while Islam has typically grown on borders by conquest.

That was before the left and islam combined to form "open borders".

If the goal is to stamp out Christianity anywhere they can, this 'new axis' is certainly trying their best. It will fail, but they will get full points on 'effort'.

  4. At war with the whole world of Islam--not a pleasant prospect. It means everything from Mauretania to Mindanao, Kama to Comorros, Nigeria to Ningxia.

It would be wiser to remove a few judges so we could have targeted and temporary immigration fixes (such as Trump's visa freeze). It would also be a good idea to be careful about whom we align with and into whose affairs we poke our noses.

We also need a serious countercultural push. Much, much more could be said about that. Anyone know anyone in publishing?

    1. It is unlikely we will ever defeat Islam ... so we should try our damnedest to get them to reform.

    2. And I doubt that Xi’s way of adjusting Muslims’ (or Christian’s) attitudes wil work in the end.

Christians. Xi has his priorities jumbled.

    2. Back in the early 1990's, the Chinese Communist regime was also fretting because a few hundred people in Kaifeng wanted to explore their Jewish heritage and a handful of their honored "foreign friends" in Beijing went frum in their old age. There were dark whispers of "What happened to the Soviet Union after THOSE PEOPLE got uppity?"

Xi does not have his priorities jumbled. He wants the PRC to go back to its Communist roots, and hence is being nasty to any and all who might organize outside the aegis of Communist Party oversight.

As a Sinophone Christian, I am praying for China and relief for my co-religionists there.

  6. Nuke Mecca only, at first. While I DO NOT believe in measured response, as this is always perceived as weakness, it seems not to be pusillanimous to drop only one thermonuclear device at a time. I'm a Christian, so I believe in compassion, even if the enemy do persist in seeing it as weakness, but, I favor giving a three-day warning, to allow Mecca to be evacuated, if they will allow it. (They do love them some martyrdom.) A strike like that, at the core of Islam, would knock them back somewhat, although they would do a few attacks, to let us know how displeased they are. There's something else. Senile Hillary probably does not know it, although her handler who wrote her pronouncement ought to know, but that guy who attacked the Mosques in NZ was NOT a white supremacist, but he did have a distinctly Leftward lean, causing him to want to do something, anything, to get President Trump to change the US Constitution regarding the right to Keep and Bear arms. No, he doesn't know that the President can not change the Constitution, nor that the three quarters of states that would need to ratify such an amendment are Middle Core states, nearly all of them red. But, do not let them lead us down that rabbit trail of believing that some sort of Xenophobe shot up a bunch of people. His ignorance was compounded by plain craziness, but he started with the ignorance. Michael Adams

  7. When a religion has at its core a book containing ideas like it's OK to lie, in order to promote that religion, it is difficult to see how anything a proponent of that religion says can be believed. It has "taqiyya" and "kitman," both terms describing lying in order to advance or protect Islam.

The koran was written by a blood-drenched, deceitful warlord in the 7th century, and it is held by its adherents to be the very word of Allah, who they consider to be god. This is NOT the God of Christians, though many would dispute that (usually athiests, who claim to know better, and islamists who cannot be believed.)

Since this koran is supposedly the literal word of god, it cannot be changed in any way; most moslems will say that it cannot even be translated but must be kept in its original Arabic. It and its concepts are not compatible with Western civilization or human freedom, so there is no chance that it can or will ever be updated to make it less deadly.

Islam is a scourge, and must be contained or eliminated. It is far more dangerous than Nazism or even Communism (though Hitler did get on well with moslems: he said, "The peoples of Islam will always be closer to us than, for example, France".)

Churchill knew the islamists well, and described them accurately in his books: "...the Mahommedan religion increases, instead of lessening, the fury of intolerance. It was originally propagated by the sword, and ever since its votaries have been subject, above the people of all other creeds, to this form of madness."

  10. As a solution to the Islam problem, I would like to offer a solution. I know it sounds like cruel and unusual punishment, but I propose that in each Muslim country, we establish a Democratic Party National Committee. It would be personally satisfying to see those countries suffer political suicide..

  11. What The Left fails to understand is that once the world wide Islamic caliphate is established, Christians will be required to pay a tax in order to pray.
The Godless Communists, LGBTQABC community, non-believers in general, and all the other subgroups that make up the Lib/Prog world...will be put to the sword as apostates and offenders of Allah.
The Left allying themselves with Islam is a suicide pact.

If they were invading the US, fine. But they're not, they're being invited to come in and take over America. What kind of country or political movement would refuse such an invitation?
Not the fault of any other group in the world that our progressivists are suicidally bored.
